The silver Tesla pulls up crunching on gravel and the big barreled brown haired man wearing a grey suit steps out. His eyes rove over the building and I know who he's looking for, but I still make no move to go and meet him.

I'm really not in the mood for this s**t today. I honestly thought the meeting was on Friday. I would have let Samuel or Daniel deal with this bullshit if I'd remembered. As a matter of fact, I would have let anyone.

Now I'm stuck because they are both busy supervising the installation of our new cameras along our territory's borders. Motherfucking s**t. When it rains it pours. I haven't been in the best state as of late and it's whenever you look like s**t is when you run into familiar faces. Always. Why do I never run into these people when I've just shaved, get some sleep and look like a fresh biscuit and not a crumbling cake?

I try to pull the last remnants of the root beer from the can before rolling it up in a ball and tossing it in the nearby bin.

I look at the boy sitting across from me and I'm glad I'll never have kids. I don't have to deal with this s**t if my kids would turn out to be an i***t.

I say s**t a lot. I really need to expand and shake up my vocabulary. The boy looks terrified as I silently stare at him. His large orange shirt is draped over him and he's wearing brown pants bunched up at the waist. His fingers are shaking and he doesn't make eye contact. There is a layer of sweat on his top lip and the AC is on full blast.

The glasses he's wearing have a slight fog and from here I can hear his heart beat and I wonder if he's going to have a cardiac arrest. I wonder if I should drag this out and see if his dumb ass is really going to drop on me. I mean we are werewolves. We hear, smell and literally see everything while living in a close knit community. Someone was bound to see him and tattle on him, but this dumbass didn't think of that.

His fifteen year old body is in that weird stage with terrible acne that nothing will cure other than he just has to live through it and eventually outgrow it. He's lanky yet muscular and he has the worst haircut I've ever seen and I know without a doubt his mother cut his hair. Knowing how strict and overbearing Janet is, she definitely cut his hair. He's not bad looking and if he got rid of the too large clothes for his frame and got glasses that actually fit the shape of his face he'd be good. His father Jerry, is a whimp of a guy, businessman nerdy type and it is definitely hereditary. I know he's probably not making any friends and definitely not any girlfriends causing him to probably feel left out and do dumb s**t like this. Overall, he's a good kid and it would be a waste to see him go down this path. I sign up for Alpha and now I'm a f*****g counsellor.

He swallows nervously and his breathing comes out ragged. We've been in here in silence for the past five minutes. His eyes gloss over and he's gonna crack like a b***h.

"I d-didn't mean for anybody to get hurt. I thought it w-would be cool." he mumbles out in a rush and a tear rolls down his cheek.

He thought it would be cool and he would fit in. Dumbass.

I look down at my finger nails and then guess what? He starts sobbing. He cracked quicker than I thought he would.

"My p-parents say they're going to pay for the scratches and dent on the bike I stole and I apologised to Mr. Crosby and also Rebecca that I hit with the bike." He's now full on crying and I'm over this bullshit.

"You not only stole but you injured another person luckily an adult. What if it was a kid out there walking or playing? See where I'm going with this?" I ask him roughly. Raul shakes his head.

"Now your parents aren't paying for the bike. You're paying for your own f**k ups. I mean how else you will learn." I roll my eyes dramatically and stroke my beard "You are going to be at the Garage from Monday to Thursday. You will be helping and learning from Greg the mechanic after school. You will fix that bike in two weeks maximum and it will be pristine. Fridays you will be at the accident unit volunteering."

He starts nodding furiously.

"On the weekends you will be helping Sophie in the kitchen. So you won't have so any free time on your klepto hands until Christmas."

And Julie helps out in the kitchen. She's a very bubbly and friendly chubby teenage girl who makes friends with literally everybody and this kid clearly needs a friend. A good friend that is.

He nods furiously, "Yes, Alpha Zion."

"Now as for Rebecca, you will grovel and I will leave it up to you on how to apologise and show how remorseful you are." I drag out the remorseful, so he gets the gist of what I'm saying. He has to also use his little peanut brain to learn how to approach messes he creates to hurt people. "You will publicly apologize at Sunday's get together to the pack. Are we on the same page?"

"Yes, Alpha!" He nods enthusiastically and a few drops of tears fall into the large orange shirt he's wearing.

I run my hand along my jawline before I look at him coldly.

"Raul, if you come back to my office or even breathe out of line I will rip your heart through your ass." I say it slow so he knows I'm not playing with him and I hear him wheeze.

His skin is so pale and damp I can see his veins and sweat is now running down his forehead in the very cool room we are in.

"Out." I say quietly.

He scrambles out so fast the chair tilts to the side almost falling over and I glance through the window contemplating if I should see the man who I know is probably waiting downstairs with his mate to speak to me. The coldness in my heart bites and I can feel the lack of sleep burning my eyes.

I lock the door, turn off the lights and pull the window curtains and the room is engulfed in darkness. I suck air through my teeth as I pull myself out of my chair to lie down on the large plush sofa in the corner. I pull and lift one leg up and then the other and ease back deciding I don't want to see any of those bitches today.
