The Princess’s Broken Alpha -
Chapter 66
There was an announcement made signaling she was to arrive. Kiarra could hear everyone waiting and holding their breaths as she glided towards the entrance. She had put her crown on her head for the event. It was unconventional but Kiarra had asked for purple orchids to line the entrance, something to remember her mother by. The room was filled with her suitors, the council members and other Lycans deemed important enough to arrive. Basicall all the influential people in the beast kingdom.
Everyone's eyes were focused on the entrance as they waited anxiously for the princess to arrive. Some were craning their necks just to get a glimpse of her. The suitors all stood ready to claim their prize.
The King, as per tradition, was supposed to walk his daughter, the princess into the ballroom and have the first dance. It was the King's duty symbolising that no matter what her father would come first. In her case it was her duties and what her father wanted came first. It was also pretty much expected he would have the first dance with her.
Her stomach clenched as she approached the entrance and she didn't see her father there. He was absent? She would have to enter the room alone? Her disappointment dipped that he didn't replace it worth his time to at least have the first dance with her even as a royal duty. Many paragraphs are missing. She wouldn't create a fuss over it though she could already hear the gossip as to why he didn't come to his own daughter's ball. She paused in her steps and let out a breath, trying to calm herself. She looked up just in time to see her father entering in his cool powerful strides and she felt relief. He was dressed in his royal attire.
Arthurs chilling grey eyes were unreadable and his hard face looked the same. He stopped before Kiara and raised his arms to hold her head, in both his palms, his palms on both side of her head. He focused both his piercing eyes on her and the warmth from his hands felt chilling instead. It felt like it travelled to leave a heavy weight on her shoulders.
"Do not disappoint me." he warned her, his lips taunt.
He held out his hand and Kiarra took it. As they walked into the room their were several gasps as they made their way to the Centre of the ballroom. There was an uproar as people stood there stunned at how exceptionally beautiful and regal she looked holding on the King's arm. They couldn't believe their eyes. The whispering got louder and all eyes were on her watching her every move.
Zion felt like he was struck by lightning the moment she entered holding on to her father's hand. He heard the excitement everyone was creating.
He felt like his heart had stopped beating and he was frozen forgetting to breathe. He couldn't hear anything and he was in a trance feeling as if she was walking towards him. Zion's wolf was going crazy just like his hear and he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Her movements were so fluid and gentle. She was wearing a close-fitting embellished long royal blue dress. The dress was form fitting, clinging tightly to her curves and leaving little to his imagination. His crotch tightened and he was beyond hard just looking at her. There was a trail of see through delicate material at the top of her dress that showcased and highlighted the top of her breasts. He was seeing way too clearly. Then there was the split. The split was way too daring for him and showing way too much. It ran all the way to her hip bone showing a glimpse of her beautiful thigh and a slight glimpse of her pelvic bone whenever she moved. All in all he was having a stroke.
This only multiplied and got worse because he wasn't the only man looking at her like this. All of their eyes roving over her and he was fighting a losing battle. She was for his eyes and his eyes only and Zion was livid. No he was more than livid. "Oh" was all Samuel could say as he took his eyes off of Kiarra to look to Zion. She was breathtaking.
"Zion your claws are out." Samuel whispered cautiously as a Lycan guard looked at Zion suspiciously. Samuel didn't want them to be thrown out or worse when they'd already gotten so far.
King Arthur led Princess Kiarra to the dance floor in the center of the room and the music started. Nothing Samuel was saying was reaching to Zion as he focused entirely on her. She took his hands and they started to dance to a classical ballroom song. Samuel even tried kneeling beside Zion but nothing was helping as he ignored Samuel. A few people turned around to see what was happening curious.
Zion's wolf possessiveness was clawing at him and he was barely straining to hold him in. Samuel was worried. He could feel the waves rolling off Zion and he was breathing heavy. He looked about to murder and worse.
"You said you could handle it!" he shouted at Zion but it was falling on deaf ears.
The Lycan guards came closer to him but Zion paid them no attention. They didn't want any diisruptions. He was in a wheelchair for fucking sake.
Kiarra felt like she was in a whirlwind as she danced with her father. She couldn't tell the last time she danced with him and she was enjoying it. It was a normal father and daughter thing to do. It reminded her of simpler times. She smiled as he spun her around and the song was drawing to a close.
When she finished and stopped the crowd started to cheer and her father kissed the top of her hand. She could see Castor and all the other men she would owe a dance and she decided to start with the dark-haired tech billionaire Joseph. It was going to be a long night. Joseph bowed heavily before the king and the princess. He was a tall man who wasn't so handsome but he had a nice smile. She had studied his profile and knew practically everything about him. He tried not to fumble before the king and the princess extending his hand towards her.
The minute her hand touched his palm and he pulled her close an earth shattering growl shook the ballroom and all eyes turned to the wolf in the wheelchair.
