The Princess’s Broken Alpha -
Chapter 70
"Why the hell did you bring him here?!!"" Just calm down and hear me out." "Don't tell me to calm down! Get rid of him or I will before he wakes up!"
Jackson woke up to a splitting headache. He remembered the events that had happened before he completely blacked out and his warning signals went off. He shot up and sat up straight to replace himself in a small quaint living room that had mostly antique furniture. The splitting headache he had intensified even more from his rapid movement. Where the hell was he?He wasn't dead that was for sure. He was on a small pale green sofa and the walls in the room was painted a dull yellow. "If you make any sudden moves I will kill you!"
His eyes focused on Kyor, his tall lanky frame towering over a small woman dressed in a black dress with loc'd brown hair and unique yellow eyes. He didn't have to ask to know it was Indigo. She directed her angry back at Kyor. "This is all your fault! Why would you ever think it was a good idea to bring him here Kyor?! He of all people. He's the worst of them all !!!" She slapped her hand against her palm as she yelled at Kyor, the veins in her neck standing out. "Stop shouting at me! Yes I brought him here but we had no other choice. He's not that bad!" Kyor defended shouting himself above her. Indigo gave him a look as if he was the stupidest person in the world.
"This arrogant whoremongering- " she started screaming even louder pointing at him and Jackson felt like his head was going to explode.
"Hey hey hey! I'm in the room you know!" Jackson cut in. He showed no indication of being offended by her words.
"But you should listen to her Kyor. I am the worst of them all." Jackson replied groggily. What the hell did he do to him?
They both turned to look at him and he leaned back against the sofa taking in a deep breath.
"This headache. What did you do to me Kyor?"
Kyor rolled his eyes.
"It was just a knockout spell it will go away soon you big baby but it almost took everything I had in me, especially since you're Lycan. We almost didn't make it here." he waved Jackson off. Jackson glared at him.
"So now there are two witches I have to kill."
Ingido sneered at him and Kyor went to take a seat on the oddly shaped chair across from him.
"I had my fair share of pain too you know. You ran your claws through my ribs before you passed out. Indigo had to patch me up. You're lucky I have no scars."
Jackson couldn't help the content look on his face, his headache felt better already.
His eyes flitted to Indigo and he narrowed them at her and back at Kyor. Indigo refused to sit. She was more than wary of the Lycan. She was standing with her back against the door, her eyes never leaving his. She was ready for anything and she couldn't understand how Kyor could do this to her after all she had been through.
"You're literally the last resort. That's why I brought you here." Kyor started. "We can't hide and run forever Indigo. Sooner or later they'll catch up with us. We have to at least try!"
"I guess I have no choice but to hear what he says since you brought him here against his will. I don't trust him, not after all I've been through Kyor." she said defiantly. "What have you been through?" Jackson snapped at her and he could see the disgust in her eyes aimed at him.
She folded her arms defiantly.
"I don't like him Kyor. He's just going to make us die sooner. I don't see how he could be different from that other monster." she hissed at Kyor who put a hand up. Kyor leaned forward and rubbed his hands before he spoke to Jackson.
"I figured since you didn't like Castor that much and we belonged in the same club that maybe you could help us well more so her." he indicated hopefully to Indigo, hoping she would keep her temper and try giving Jackson a chance. It's not that all those thoughts hadn't crossed his mind.
"It depends on what she has to say." he looked at her coldly.
Kyor gave her a pleading look to tell all that she had been through and where she had been but she was still very hesitant.
"What if he's lying and he's in with him on this whole thing? He could use us or turn against us. Seriously what do you see in him Kyor? My answer is still no." Indigo shook her head hard.
Indigo was clearly shaken up. She kept shaking her head, mumbling to herself. Indigo headed into the kitchen and he could hear the clattering of pots and utensils. Some were falling to the floor as she continued to shake her head. Jackson glanced at Kyor who was watching his cousin with sadness in his eyes. He turned around to Jackson with a murderous look.
"That bastard hurt my cousin. You have to help us. She did nothing wrong and what she did she was forced to do."
Jackson looked back at Indigo as she placed a kettle on the stove. She was making tea. Indigo needed something to calm her nerves and keep her busy to not think too much about it.
Jackson eased back against the sofa and closed his eyes. He knew they would soon crack and tell him everything because they had no other choice. He just had to give them time to run around in circles and for his headache to clear. He opened back his eyes to look out the window. It was still dark which meant not much time had passed.
He heard Kyor get up, trying to coerce her some more. It was a long while before she finally gave in, probably relenting that she was already out to be dead, so she might as well try. She made sure to stand against the door, giving him wide space in case he tried anything. She had learnt her lesson well from the first time. Never get too close to a Lycan.
She stood with the chipped yellow cup in her hands and Jackson irritatedly and loudly cleared his throat. Would she get over with it or did he have to fill in the blanks playing hang man on the wall with her. Surely that would have been faster. "Well?!" he said loudly.
"I still don't trust you but Kyor here seems to believe in you. I don't know why but he always had a soft spot for assholes."
"You shouldn't insult those whose help you are begging for. " Jackson clipped and she nodded in acknowledgement. She took a sip of her ginger and mint tea breathing in the herbal and spicy scent to calm her nerves before she began.
