The Princess’s Broken Alpha -
Chapter 84
They woke up pretty late the next day and they decided to spend the rest of the day with the pack. Zion had been absent for far too long and even though Daniel was doing a great job, there were still certain things that needed his approval and work, certain things that could have been done better.
She could be spending time with Lisa and the other women but Zion was being extra clingy. So instead she was sitting before him while he hovered his body weight over her reading a document she didn't care for. She took the time to study his profile. His sharp jawline, full lips and strong frame...
He turned around and his eyes caught hers, he started studying her suspiciously.
"What?"
"Just enjoying the handsome view." she brushed his gold hair. " Zion, you can't keep me under lock and key forever."
"I know" he sighed. "I just need to see and feel you at all times."
Kiarra carefully slipped out from him and placed her hands on her hips.
"I'm going downstairs for some water. I'll be with Lisa and the other pack members. I'll be back in a few minutes."
He opened his mouth to protest and she cut him off.
"If there's anything you can mind link me. Be reasonable."
She was going to discuss them marking each other tonight. Kiarra could tell he was getting antsy and so was she. Seeing as he got rid of most of the workload today they could go ahead. She gave him a quick kiss, telling him she loved him and left him there staring at his papers. He should have known she wouldn't just sit there and stay put the entire day. She did however arrive back minutes later as promised.
They decided to head home when he ran through the pile of papers and work he had before him making the desk now empty. He needed to talk to Daniel to throw a little more weight. There shouldn't have been so much there. "What do you think of Daniel becoming Alpha?" Zion asked her as his vehicle pulled up to the house.
"So far he's been doing a good job. He just needs to tighten up."
Zion agreed with her and detailed that he would have to spend a few days showing him how certain things had to be done. Daniel sometimes could be too laid back. But he was definitely trying and pulling his weight so far.
They still had enough leftovers in the fridge and so she took them out to heat up for their dinner. She heard the loud crashing sound and that's when her body froze. Kiarra ran wand when she was about to turn the corner she was slammed into the wall with so much force it knocked the wind out of her. She was staring at hard blue eyes in a tight face and her panic increased.
Castor?!
He looked cold and vicious unlike the forever friendly and easy going face she had been used to. But that was all a facade.
"Did you miss me Ki? In your perfect little life?!"
No it couldn't be! She had sentenced him to death. She felt like she was teteering in the wind. How did he manage to escape? Zion! Her mind snapped to Zion and sensing it Castor took advantage of her indecision by swiftly slamming her head so hard into the wall everything blacked out.
The chains tightened painfully around her wolf and it howled in anguish. There was a searing pain coursing through her. She felt wild with fever. Her entire body was soaked and sweat poured down her body.
"You sure are a fighter."
The voice made her eyes snap open as she felt the room spininig around her to slowly focus.
" 'Thought it would have chained you by now but look at you." he gloated.
"C-Castor "
Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she wrenched from the pain against the table she was on. Every single part of her body was in pain. It was slicing through her, crippling her insides.
"Zi..." she groaned when the pain tore through her. " Zion!"
She couldn't even know if he was alright because all her wolf could feel right now was immeasurable pain.
He laughed dryly at her and his blue eyes were like ice.
"After all we've been through, all these years of having you and you just toss me to the side for that crippled freak!" he spat at her and Kiarra's body was shaking from the necklace around her. She could barely move much less breathe. It was too much pain. More than she had ever felt in her life.
"You ruined me before the entire kingdom with that witch that I should have killed when I had her but it's okay I have time."
He growled at her and Kiarra tried to focus. She could do this. She had to replace a way.
"That crown was mine and more importantly you are mine!"
She could taste the salt on her lips. Her eyes roved the ceiling. Out of the corner of her eye she could see he had brought silver spears that rested against the wall.
"I'm going to make sure you never forget that."
She saw the glint in his eyes and knew what he was going to do. Her body ran cold with fear. She focused and felt her wolf rise from the spell. It couldn't hold her! Indigo was good but she was much stronger. This gave her some strength. Enough to get up and when he least expected it she kicked hard at Castor and swung her claws at him that sliced mostly across his collarbone and throat.
The spell wasn't broken and she was still fighting to get completely free and so it slowed her movements down. He gritted his teeth at the slashes she made into him.
It all happened in a flash. Castor grabbed one of the silver spears and ran her left hand through the table. Kiarra screamed in pain. She looked at her hand pinned to the table with blood soaking into the wood and she lost her voice in her throat as she tried to process the pain.
She didn't know where she was but she knew it couldn't have been anywhere near the pack he had her. She lost her grip on fighting the chaining spell. She couldn't focus on removing the spear and breaking it at the same time. It was just so much pain, too much. So she tried to focus on the spell folding her wolf against the chains that were trying to bind it down.
Castor tore her blouse open and she felt the cool air on her chest. His finger brushed against her skin in doing so and she revolted against his touch. He looked disdainfully at the chain around her neck with Zion's name on it.
"I'm going to leave it on you as I fuck the living daylights out of you for your disrespect."
He took off his shirt and soon he stood bare before Kiarra. His erect penis standing hard. Fear grappled her.
"Cass" she tried to grab at her last and only hope that maybe some part of her childhood friend was there but she knew there wasn't any. He was going to rape her.
"If you had behaved I would have been gentle but I want you to feel everything. You can scream as loud as you want to."
She felt the tearing of her dress as she fought as hard as she could. Her hand tore against the spear lodged in it as she shifted to get away from him and she cried out. "Castor No! No! No! Castor please."
With the dress open she was spread before him in only her bra and underwear. He looked appreciatively over her body hissing as he was dying to take her supple body. Kiarra could hear her heart pounding in her ears. He grabbed her legs spreading her before him and he needed to see her bare.
His fingers skimmed the edge of her underwear and she heard him release a guttural cry. Something warm was dripping on her and when her eyes focused it was blood. A spear had ran through his chest. She saw the familiar red hair as Castor fell on his knees before her blood pouring from the sides of his mouth.
"Jackson! Jackson!"
She'd never been more grateful to see her annoying cousin than now. Jackson spit on the body before him before heading over to Kiarra to pull out the spear out of her hand. She stifled a cry when he pulled it out. He wasted no time snatching off the necklace as well.
She took a big gulp of air the moment it came off. She felt like she had not been breathing for the past few minutes the way her lungs burned. Her hand radiated in pain. It looked horrific and was a bloody mess and Jackson took his shirt off to put on her. "It's ok. I'm here now." he smoothed down her hair and lifted her in his arms.
He had made good on his promise. This time he had saved her from the monster. He was lucky he came in time before the damn bastard did anymore damage to her.
"It's ok."
Kiarra focused on breathing out not looking back at the dead body on the floor. The cool air outside hit her and brought her back to her senses. "Zion!"
Kiarra was matted with sweat as he moved fast outside into the forest. Jackson groaned in annoyance. Not the damn werewolf.
"You have to save him Jackson! I need to go back!"
She was hysterical as she pounded hard against him with her one hand.
"Alright! Where is he?"
"At the Cartier pack. He's at the Cartier pack at our home Jackson!"
Jackson was pummeling forward at full speed until they arrived at his car on the outskirts of the forest.
He could run by himself there but he didn't want to leave her especially in her condition. Her hand was healing nicely already.
He broke all the speed limits and when he arrived the front door was wide open already open. Kiarra saw Daniel and she felt numb.
Daniel looked lost like he had lost it, his eyes focusing on nowhere in particular. Kiarra didn't like it as she rushed forward despite the pain almost passing out when she saw him in the hallway. She crumbled to her knees over him and she couldn't move. They had pulled it out the spear that had run through his chest near his heart and if it reached his heart she knew he was going to die. There was so much blood pooled around him as she scrambled on top of him. He was so pale. Her hand shakily touched his chest as breathing came out ragged
"Zion no no please." she held his face and his eyes feebly opened. She needed to see his eyes. She kissed him as the tears streaked down her face. It was evident he was dying.
"Ki.. Kiarra." he breathed. "You're ok?"
He was dying and all he cared about was if she was okay. Kiarra nodded. Zion had fought to hold on as long as he could to hear what happened to her.
"I'm fine and you are going to be too!" she tried to convince him but she was was fooling herself.
She wiped the tears falling on his face.
"Zion you can't leave me. Please don't leave me. Please."
Zion felt himself drifting further no matter how much he needed to stay.
"You promised me you wouldn't leave me." Her hands were shaking terribly. "You're all I have please-please. You're all I have. Oh God you're all I have."
She felt a jerk and realised Jackson was saying something before her.
"Mark him! There's still a chance."
When changing into a Lycan after being marked, the body went through changes and so it would build muscles and organs up to fit the beast. Wolves who were severely injured and marked to change into a Lycan sometimes survived. This was the only chance for him to be healed but the downside was that after three days of building up the body died.
"Stay with me." she whispered.
Kiarra's hands shook terribly and she had to focus as she tore his shirt to reveal his neck. She brushed her lips against his neck inhaling his scent, she released her teeth and felt it pierce him as she marked him without hesitation. The moment her teeth sunk into him she felt something lock within her tethering her to him and he gasped loudly one hand weakly holding her. She could feel everything for him more vividly. Right now she could feel his pain and his strength diminishing.
She pulled back to look at her fresh mark on his shoulder to hurry over him.
"Zion" she cried brushing his hair.
His eyes fluttered and she stifled a cry as her body racked against the pain of losing him. Jackson felt it for her. He didn't know how she was going to make it if he died.
"Baby you have to fight. You have to give it everything you got for me. Please. D-don't go."
When his eyes closed Kiarra went hysterical and Jackson had to hold her. In three days they would know if he survived or not.
