BLAKE

Holding Allie in my arms was the missing piece of my heart. She clung to me so tight that I thought I would have had help to get her off me.

Izzy and I spent a few hours with the chocolate monster as she wanted to make muffins. You can imagine what flavor she wanted to make.

After the muffins were in the oven, Allie demanded that I help her with her bath and put her to bed. We met the vampires in an hour, but I needed to ensure my angel had my undivided attention.

I bathed her and even got to see what the whole fuss was over the talking snowman. But I must admit if she keeps playing this film more than it should be. I think the movie will hide in a secret place where no one can replace it.

I watched as Olaf sang his song. Allie was on my lap on the bed, with her head on my shoulder. I looked at the door and noticed Izzy leaning on the doorframe, smirking.

“You both look like you are enjoying yourself,” she says through the mind link. I grinned. “You know it,” I said.

“She has fallen asleep,” she said. “Why don’t you place her on the bed? We have to get going.”

I nodded and gently moved Allie to the side.

I moved off the bed and switched off the film. I couldn’t help but glance back at Allie.

I could feel Izzy by the side of me, and she placed her hand in mine. “You know the forms from your lawyer are in the office,” she says. I glanced down at her as I found her eyes. She smiles. “All we need is three people to witness us signing the documents, and they are ready.”

I smiled. “I think we should do it after the vampires have settled in,” I said. “We can ask my parents and Kat to do it.”

Izzy smiled. She glances at Allie. “she knows you are her father, Blake,” she says, her eyes never leaving Allie’s little frame in the bed. “She accepted you as soon as she met you.”

Izzy looks up at me and smiles. She pulls my hand toward her, and she goes on her tipping toes and kisses my cheek. “Now, my alpha and mate,” she says as she pulls slightly back. “I believe we have vampires to welcome into the pack.”

I smirked and pulled her back to me.

I slammed my mouth on hers and kissed her hard. Her scent wafts through my nose and hits my cock hard. Fuck, her scent has been sweet, but never like this. I slide my tongue into her mouth and taste every inch of her.

I pulled back, panting, while Izzy tried not to stumble backward. Her breathing was labored, but she quickly composed herself.

“Damn, Blake,” she says. “If you keep that up, we will have another night like in the Red Moon pack.”

I couldn’t help the smirk that formed on my face. “Izzy, keep talking like that, and I will take you into the other room and fuck you so hard. Vampires or not, I will have you.”

Izzy smirks and turns to walk away. “Come, lover boy, let’s deal with the vampires, and I will make sure you have whatever you want afterward,” she says.

Fuck, my cock comes to life. I need to think of calming thoughts, or there will be problems. I closed my eyes but could see Axel panting hard in my head.

Damn, horny dog.

I opened my eyes and followed Izzy out of the bedroom without saying a word. We met my father, Dale, and Paul at the front of the pack house. As we approached, Izzy stopped. I stopped next to her and looked at her, confused. “What’s up?” I asked.

Izzy stares for a moment but sighs. “Nothing,” she says and walks toward the front door. I was about to say something, but Dale called me. “Blake,” he shouts. I glanced back and saw him coming toward me. “You ready?” he asked.

“I am,” I say to him. “We need to figure out where the vampires will live, but the building opposite the hospital will do for now.”

Dale nods but looks at Izzy. “Is she okay?” he asks. “She looks pale.”

I stare at Izzy. I must admit she looks pale and has been looking ill a few times. I have asked her before, but she keeps telling me she picked something up in the Red Moon Pack.

“I know; maybe I will get her to see the pack doctor,” I told Dale while keeping my eyes on Izzy.

Izzy was talking to Paul, but she looked at me. “Come on, you two,” she says.

Dale and I walked through the front door and headed to the others. We all headed to the north border, where we were told the vampires would meet us.

The walk toward the northern border was quiet, but I walked alongside my father. “You okay, dad?” I asked.

My father looked ahead, but I knew his eyes were on Izzy. “She is one amazing Luna,” he says as he looks at me. “I know I messed up.”

“I heard everything that woman told you and Izzy about how the elder and I told her to reject her mate,” he says. I could hear the pain in his voice. “The pain that ran through them and what was in their eyes. I should never have asked them to do that. I would never have. I never thought Elder Johnson was a monster, but that night was the worst.”

I looked toward Izzy; I was trying to keep my calm.

“I was his puppet,” he says. “I only asked him to help us out of a jam. I was a gambler. I used the pack’s money to deal with my habit and when it was hard to handle. Elder Johnson dug his heels in deep. I never saw a way out.”

I looked over at my father, and he looked broken.

I sighed.

“When I take over, you and mum should take a well-earned holiday,” I told him. My father looks at me and shakes his head. “I can’t do that,” he said. “I made this pack into a laughingstock, and I want to help in any way I can.”

I stopped walking, knowing we were closer to the northern border. I turned my father to face me, and his face held so many emotions. “Dad, you will help us,” I said, placing my hand on his arm. “But you and mum need a break, and I mean a good one. Izzy and I will run things, and when you get back, you and mum will help us with the new shifters.”

My father stares at me. But he slowly nods at me. “Okay, on one condition,” he said. “I want to help Izzy replace that bear shifter. I need to undo what I did.”

I smiled. “That is the only job you will have, helping with the ceremony,” I said.

He smiled. We both began walking but stopped as we approached Izzy, Paul, and Dale.

I glanced out, and the vampires were a few feet away. All are carrying luggage and children.

The man from the field stepped forward as Izzy and I did. “Alpha,” he says, bowing toward me. “Luna,” he says to Izzy with a bow.

The vampire looks toward the others, but his eyes land on my father. “Alpha,” he says with a slight bow.

My father comes to my side and nods at him.

The man looks between us, but his eye focuses on Izzy.

“There are only twenty of us,” he says. “Many were in two minds and left once they decided what they would do. I have a funny feeling; some may come once they know we are safe.”

“You are safe here,” says Izzy. “We have arranged a place for you to stay for now. But maybe we can all meet up and discuss your requirements, such as food and what you want as living arrangements.”

The man smiles. “That will be perfect,” he says. We all moved and showed them through the forest to the building where they would stay for the next few days.

Dale and I were looking at some abandoned homes in the town and making sure they were livable for them. Some may replace it better, but we can arrange everything later.

We showed them to the building and ensured they had everything they needed.

Once everyone was settled. “Can you three come to the office before you return to your mates?” I asked Dale, Paul, and my father.

They all nodded. We were all exhausted, but I wanted to finalize the paperwork on the adoption for Allie. I didn’t want to wait any longer.
