Chapter 731

Hera flashed Linda a menacing grin.

Linda was at a loss for words. Hera must've gone out of her mind. She was clearly taunting Hera, but Hera actually grinned at her. Did Hera honestly think she would die that easily? Well, dream on.

An hour later, the police car transporting Linda arrived at the execution ground. She was brought out and handed over to two prison guards, who took her away to an open field.

The field was enclosed by tall iron fences, and there was a hole dug in the middle of it. Beneath the western fence, there was a row of rocks.

Linda was standing behind this particular iron fence when she saw Desmond and Percy getting off a bus. She was content with this turn of events. They were finally here to whisk her away.

Linda had cleaned a lot of messes for Desmond in the past. Now, he was finally repaying her. However, more and more people got off the bus, and all of them were Atkinses. Linda could no longer smile.

Then, she saw someone helping her father, who was in his 70s, out of the bus. All of a sudden, she had a sinking feeling in her guts.

This wasn't the prison break she had envisioned. Where were the mercenaries? Why had her old and weak relatives come here?

At that moment, more cars arrived outside the iron fences. It was Hera and her group. Hera didn't want Catherine to see the bloodshed, so she asked her to stay in the car.

Linda watched as Hera approached her, step by step. Pulling a long face, she roared at Desmond, "What are you waiting for, Desmond? Hurry up and do your thing!"

"Linda..." Desmond trailed off into silence, his complexion not looking well. He shook his head. He didn't expect that the mercenaries he hired would be taken out when they were on their way here.

This particular squad was the most heartless and ruthless group among the Grim Reapers. And someone actually wiped all of them out. It wasn't hard to imagine just how fearsome a force they had to be to take out this squad.

Linda saw Desmond shaking his head, and she knew he had made another mess. She was instantly furious. He was absolutely useless!

"I think the judge forgot to tell you that your execution is carried out via stoning." Hera walked over to the side of the iron fence and gave Linda a gentle reminder. She was grinning, and it was the identical grin she wore back in the courtroom.

An hour ago, Linda thought Hera had gone out of her mind when she saw this grin. Now, however, she was no longer in the mood to mock Hera anymore.

Stoning was an execution where the convict would be struck with blunt force until they died. The convict would be buried halfway in the sand while the executioner carried out the execution by hurling a multitude of stones at the convict.

What was more, the convict's parents and family had to be at the scene to declare that she was no longer their family member. Then, they had to guide her to the sandpit in which she would be buried and participate in the stone-hurling process.

The stones used in the execution were handpicked to ensure the convict died in great pain. It was a form of torture that would crush the convict both physically and spiritually.

On top of that, Desmond and the others were here. Not only were they not able to bust Linda out, but they had to participate in the execution as well.

Linda was so enraged by the notion that she threw up blood. Before she could put up a fight, the prison guard dragged her to the hole that had been dug and buried her halfway.

"Commence the execution!" The prison guard barked an order, and all the Atkinses picked up a stone.

Hera glued her gaze to Linda, who was buried halfway and crying out in anger. At last, she had avenged Daphne.

Just as the hurled stones were about to strike Linda, someone suddenly covered Hera, obscuring her vision.
