As the car window was rolled down, Vincent's face popped out. "Tiffany, why haven't you gone home yet?"
Every time Vincent called her name, Tiffany would somehow feel moved..
Suppressing the strange feeling in her heart, she asked, "Mr. Lewis, are you aware of the photo in the company group?"
"Do you mean the secretly taken photo of us eating in the cafeteria at noon?"
"Yes."
"I saw it. What about it?" Vincent looked at her tiny face. "Does it trouble you?"
Tiffany felt quite ashamed. Vincent, as the company's CEO, was not even troubled by it. Meanwhile, she was just an insignificant employee. How troubled could she be? "No..." She shook her head. "I'm just worried that it will bother you."
"You don't have to worry about it. The truth will speak for itself," Vincent said to her..
Tiffany was enlightened by his words. Yes, the truth would speak for itself. Anxiously proving oneself would worsen the matter instead.
As time went by, the rumors would die down. There was no need to be bothered by it.
It was drizzling, and the wind was blowing. Vincent looked up at the dark sky and offered, "It's hard to get a cab at this hour. Get in, I'll drop you off."
"No, thanks." Tiffany waved her hands. "I'm leaving now, Goodbye, Mr. Lewis."
After that, she scurried away as if she were afraid that Vincent would drag her into his car.
Alex said with a smile, "Everyone is eager to get close to you, except Tiffany."
Vincent only looked away when Tiffany was completely out of his sight. "Yes, she is indeed different."
Before Alex could comprehend his words, Vincent instructed, "Let's go."
On t
the subway, Tiffany was wondering if she should clarify the matter since Vincent hadn't cleared it up. However, her clarification probably wouldn't do much since she did not carry much weight.... While she was hesitating, she opened the company's WhatsApp group. A new message popped up right away.
Vincent had requested everyone to stop spreading the photo that had been sent on the group chats today. The other group chats also had the same message. Obviously, it had been sent as a bulk message. He had actually made a move! Was it because of what she had said? Tiffany felt warm as she read the message.
The next morning, Tiffany heard some noises outside while she was washing up in the bathroom. After washing up, she came out and saw Brianna serving breakfast. Brianna smiled upon seeing her. "Tiff, Jbrought you breakfast. It's your favorite banana pancake. Come and have a taste.'
Tiffany walked past her and opened her wardrobe to get changed. "I don't like it now."
A Chopper 30
Brianna was stunned, but she still said with a smile, "What do you like to eat now? Tell me, and I'll buy it."
Tiffany paused what she was doing and turned to look at her. "What are you up to?"
was war
She had been taken advantage of by Brianna once, so she wouldn't be tricked again. She of Brianna now.
"Tiff, why do you look at me like that?" Brianna's smile was stiff. "I'm up to nothing. I just want to apologize to you properly and make up with you-"
Tiffany interrupted her, "If I'd snatched something of yours away from you, would you still be friends with me?"
Brianna was stunned, but then she plastered a smile on her face. "Of course. We're best friends. What's mine is yours. If there's anything you want, you don't have to snatch it. You only need to tell me, and I will give it to you." Enjoy Ad-Free Reading>>
