Alex was more lost than ever. "Why did it happen, then? We have to get to the bottom of this, don't we? Mr. Lewis had a nosebleed!"

Jacob glanced at Tiffany and coughed awkwardly. "I'll prescribe him a little something. I've already spoken to him about the reason for the nosebleed; he'll deal with it himself."

"Well... alright, then. Thanks, Dr. Harvey." Alex was still curious about the cause.

He pulled out his phone to Google the different causes of nosebleeds. He wanted to see whether any of them would match Vincent's symptoms.

Tiffany couldn't help feeling moved when she saw this. Alex was so nice to Vincent.

Jacob turned back to Alex after packing his things. When he saw Alex checking the causes of nosebleeds, he coughed again and said, "That's enough searching online. Come and get the medicine with me. Mr. Lewis is waiting for it." "Okay." Alex put his phone down and turned to Tiffany. "I'll go get the medication with Dr. Harvey. You should stay here to take care of Mr. Lewis."

He left with Jacob without giving her the chance to say anything. Almost as soon as the door shut behind them, Tiffany heard the sound of a glass shattering inside the lounge.

It jolted her to her feet; she hurried over to push the door open. "Mr. Lewis!"

The curtains were drawn; only a few rays of sunlight filtered into the room. Vincent lay on the bed as he stretched out an arm to feel for something on the floor, which was covered in pieces of glass. Tiffany ran over to him when she saw he was almost touching the glass. She grabbed his hand and said, "There's glass all over the floor, Mr. Lewis. What are you looking for? I'll get it for you." "My phone."

"Okay." She put his hand on the bed and crouched to search for the phone. Soon, she saw it stuck between the bed and the bedside table. "Found it."

She reached out to get it, but her arm wasn't long enough. Despite having her whole arm inside the gap, she still couldn't get to the phone.

The bed and bedside table were fixed in place, so they couldn't be moved. Tiffany could only use her small stature to lean even closer while reaching as far as she could. Suddenly, she felt something cool brush against her fingers. "Got it!"

She was about to pull it out when Vincent turned to look at her.

There was only a hair's breadth between them; the distance was shortened now that Vincent was facing her. It even seemed like they were sharing a bed.

Tiffany was lost for words. As Vincent stared at her face up close, the fire he'd barely managed to put out started burning bright again. His nose started bleeding again.

"Mr. Lewis Tiffany was shocked.

She wanted to bound forward to check on him but forgot her arm was still lodged between the bed and bedside table. A sharp pain shot through her shoulder.

She yelped in pain. Vincent sat up and asked, "What's wrong?"

With his actions, the blood flowed more furiously. He couldn't care less about himself, though. He grabbed a towel and pressed it to his nose before crouching beside Tiffany. "Are you stuck?"

She pulled her arm out slowly; her shoulder had already gone numb from the pain.

"Don't move. You don't want to exacerbate the injury," Vincent said. "Let me take a look at it."

He threw the towel away and placed his hands on her shoulders. He held her firmly while pulling her arm out as slowly as possible. "Take it slow; don't rush this. Be gentle."

Tiffany was in so much pain that

she was about to black out. Still, she

gritted her teeth and went along with him. She shut her eyes and listened to Vincent's deep, soothing voice. "Let's do this slowly. Don't panic. I'm here for you."

The pain was still as strong as ever, but she didn't feel scared at all. In fact, she felt quite safe and secure.

"It's out!" Vincent exclaimed. Then, Tiffany fell right into his arms. She'd finally blacked out from the pain.

...

And so, Jacob, who had just stepped out of Lewis Tower, was forced to hurry back to Vincent's office with Alex by his side.

The latter charged into the room. "Mr. Lewis!"

Then, he stopped short when he saw the scene inside.
