"Alex." As soon as Alex left Vincent's office, he heard someone call his name. He turned to see Kelly standing there.

She was dressed in a Chanel suit, which she'd paired with a black crocodile leather bag. She'd also changed her hairstyle. She was now covered in big brands from head to toe.

It was the opposite of the old Kelly, who'd kept a low profile and dressed conservatively. She asked, "Where is Mr. Lewis?"

Alex recalled what Vincent had said and held up a hand. "He's busy. He doesn't want to see anyone right now."

Kelly was taken aback. She held up the thermos flask in her hand and said, "I brought him some soup that I made myself."

"I'll take it." Alex reached out for it.

She dodged him; her smile became a little forced. "I heard Tiffany's been promoted-she's even sharing Mr. Lewis' office now. Doesn't that mean her position's even higher than yours, Mr. Zander?" Despite the smile, Alex could sense her displeasure. He said, "That's what Mr. Lewis decided. As his employees, the first rule we need to follow is to obey his every command."

Kelly chuckled. "Of course. I was just asking out of curiosity."

Alex nodded. "If you don't have any other questions, I should get back to work."

"Okay." She watched as he left. Then, her smile disappeared.

Ivy approached her. "What did he say?"

"Nothing." When Kelly turned around, her smile was back in place.

Ivy was taken aback when she saw the Chanel suit Kelly was wearing. "Wait, isn't this from Chanel's latest season's launch? I remember seeing photos of it in a magazine last month. It looks even better in person!"

Then, she saw Kelly's bag. "Whoa, this is from Louis Vuitton's latest collection, right? Man, that color is gorgeous. It's so luxurious!"

Her gaze trailed downward to Kelly's shoes. "Those shoes... God, Kelly. Everything you have on right now must cost upward of a million dollars!"

She gave Kelly an envious look. "Mr. Lewis treats you so well. You must be on cloud nine right now!"

This was Kelly's first time being the target of someone else's envy.

Ivy had always been haughty and arrogant with her good looks, she'd found herself many suitors and bootlickers who were willing to.

But now, Ivy was genuinely jealous of Kelly. Bootlickers would only be bootlickers-they were either rich and ugly or poor and handsome.

"You're so lucky, Kelly." Ivy held Kelly's hand. She couldn't stop her bitterness and jealousy from seeping into her tone.

Kelly smiled. "It's all just a game of fate."

Despite her words, her ego was stroked by Ivy's compliments and blatant envy. It satisfied her greatly.

Just then, Brianna came over to them. She held Ivy's hand and said, "Please help me, Ivy."
