When Tiffany saw Jenson, she instinctively took two steps back.

She assessed him before saying, "You..."

"I've been playing basketball all night," Jenson said, dribbling the ball twice with a playful smirk. His face was sweaty, but his expression was one of exhilarated realization.

"I finally solved some problems that had been troubling me. I just finished playing basketball, saw you, and thought I'd say hi, but ended up getting cursed at instead."

"I wasn't cursing you."

"Really?"

"Yes."

Jenson grinned. "Well, that makes sense. I didn't dump you; I'm the one who got dumped."

Tiffany was rendered speechless.

He looked her over. "Heading to work?"

"Yes."

He pulled out a set of car keys and twirled them around his finger. "Need a ride?"

Tiffany was curious about what kind of car he drove because she hadn't seen it before. However, he walked toward a bicycle parked nearby, stashed his basketball in a bag hanging from the bike.

He pulled a jacket from the basket, folding it neatly before placing it on the back seat with a gentle pat. "Wanna sit?"

Tiffany remained silent.

Jenson was sitting on the bike seat with his legs outstretched. He smiled at her. "What's with that look?"

Tiffany waved her hands defensively. "I didn't mean to mock you. It's just that your bike... it's quite unique."

Jenson burst out laughing. "You're so subtle! Unique in what way? Uniquely decrepit?"

Tiffany was at a loss for words.

Indeed, the bike was old and worn, its paint chipped, resembling something an elderly scrap collector would ride.

It seemed especially out of place for someone as stylish as Jenson.

"Getting on or should I go?" Jenson prompted her.

Just as Tiffany was about to decline and opt to walk, she caught sight of William's car passing by.

Dreading another encounter, she gritted her teeth and climbed onto the back of the bike. "Let's go."

Jenson turned his head, looking slightly surprised. "Hold onto my waist, or you'll fall off."

"Alright." Tiffany carefully pinched the edge of his shirt.

He chuckled softly and said nothing more, pushing off with his foot and setting the bike in motion. They approached a downhill slope. Jenson pedaled hard. "Hold tight! Going downhill!"

With that, he let go of the

handlebars, and the bike accelerated uncontrollably. Tiffany's heart nearly leaped out of her chest as she clung tightly to Jenson's shirt, her body tense. . Ebookex

The speed only increased, and as they neared a turn, Jenson showed no signs of slowing down. He spread his arms wide, his feet still pedating furiously, shouting with manic joy.

Fearing she might be thrown off, Tiffany released his shirt and wrapped her arms around his waist, deciding that if she was going to fly off, Jenson would be her cushion.

The moment she embraced him, Jenson visibly paused.

Then, he reached for the handlebars and gradually slowed down with a smirk.

Tiffany opened her eyes to see William's car passing by, his stern profile visible through the half-open window.

Arriving at the bus stop, Tiffany dismounted, her legs still trembling. She shot a glance at Jenson, who seemed to be smirking as if savoring the adrenaline rush.

Gritting her teeth, Tiffany said, "You should really get insurance."

Such reckless riding was bound to catch up with him eventually.
