Chapter 341

Ben quickly answered the phone, his voice sounding kind and gentle. “Hey, Isabella, what’s up? It’s been a while since you last contacted me. What’s the reason for calling out of the blue? Are your capsules all used up again? Do you need to buy new ones? Didn’t I tell you to be mindful of your dosage? Please don’t consume too much; it won’t improve the effects; it’s a waste.” Ben continued, “I have some stocks here, but not much. The medicine had passed its sell-by date, and buying more later will be difficult,”

Listening to Ben’s words, Gina couldn’t shake the feeling that he sounded like a reseller.

Isabella was now angry when she heard Ben mention the capsules.

“Hello? Isabella, why aren’t you saying anything?” Ben sounded impatient now. “I’m asking you something: do you need to buy medicine?”

“I…” Isabella hesitated for a moment, unsure how to respond. She glanced at Gina, who nodded for her to answer yes.

“Yes, I’ve run out, and I want to buy more from you,” Isabella said, holding back tears and frustration.

“No problem at all. Then why didn’t you say anything earlier? I’m at home now; you can just come over” Ben said.

“Okay,” Isabella said.

“Alright then.” Ben then hung up the phone.

Gina said, “Go to your uncle’s house.”

Isabella nodded and followed Gina out of the coffeehouse. In the car, Isabella asked curiously, “Gina, you seem concerned about the capsules. Can you tell me why?” Isabella had assumed that Gina had just warned her and would leave it. She didn’t’ expect Gina to want to track down the seller and dismantle the entire supply chain.

“I don’t want unscrupulous merchants harming people,” Gina said, especially when they’re using her identity as Genevieve for their scam. Isabella understood.

They reached Ben’s villa; Isabella had been there before, so the facial recognition system at the gate recognized her, and they were allowed through. Isabella smoothly led Gina into Ben’s home.

Ben received a text notification indicating someone had entered the password and opened the front gate. Ben knew it was his niece who had arrived and was about to go down to greet her and give her the Milaper. However, he instinctively clicked open their real-time surveillance and glanced at it, noticing that Isabella wasn’t alone-she had brought a stranger. But Isabella hadn’t informed him beforehand. Ben suddenly felt a sense of crisis. Instead of going down, he locked the study door and called Isabella.

Isabella had already walked with Gina into the living room and was about to call Ben to ask where he was since he had said he was home. Unexpectedly, Ben’s call came through first. Isabella answered the phone and said, “Where are you, Uncle? I’m already at your house. You should have received a text notification that someone entered your gate, right?”

Ben’s voice on the other end of the line chuckled coldly. “I did receive the notification, but why didn’t you tell me you were bringing someone else? Who is the person you brought? Why keep it a secret from me?”

Isabella didn’t expect Ben to be concerned about this issue and was unsure how to respond for a moment. After a brief pause, Isabella said, “She’s my friend. She also wants to buy the capsules.”

“Your friend seems familiar to me. Didn’t I tell you not to recommend this to anyone? Haven’t you listened to me?” Ben said.

Chapter 341

Isabella was replaceing it hard to contain her anger when she thought about how her uncle had deceived her into taking cremated remains for over half a year. She felt like shouting out loud. With some defiance, she said, “Since these capsules are good, why can’t I recommend them? Uncle, give me a reason. Besides, if I bring my friend here to buy them from you, isn’t it just expanding your business opportunities?”

“Expanding business opportunities? I don’t need that!” Ben coldly refused. “Let your friend go. I won’t sell to her, and you should leave, too. I don’t plan to sell to you anymore after you violated our agreement and recommended it to others. Have you thought about the consequences?”

Isabella was on the verge of losing her temper. She wanted to confront Ben face to face. “I’m sorry, Uncle. I was wrong. Could you please sell it to me? I want to continue with my skincare. I know I was wrong. Without your permission, I shouldn’t have told anyone about the capsules and brought them to your house. By the way, aren’t you at home? Where are you?”

Ben, a seasoned player, also sensed something was amiss. “Isabella, I told you to leave. Why do you insist on meeting me?”

Gina had been quietly listening nearby, but it was clear that Ben was now on guard. Isabella wouldn’t be able to draw him out. So, Gina spoke up and greeted, “Mr. Presley, long time no see.”

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Ben recognized Gina. “Miss Miller? Is that you? Long time no see,” Ben said with a wry smile. Seeing that Isabella had brought Gina, Ben became even more convinced that Isabella’s visit was up to no good this

time.

“Shall we talk?” Gina cut to the chase.

Ben felt foreboding. “Miss Miller, what would you like to talk to me about? Are you here to buy Milaper? Sorry, I don’t have any left.”

“You just said you had some, Uncle!” Isabella’s dissatisfaction with Ben was evident now.

“I said I don’t have any. That’s final. Miss Miller, please leave my house with Isabella,” Ben said firmly.

Gina sneered. “What’s this, Mr. Presley? Are you starting to feel guilty now that you’re not selling anything good?”

Ben was confident and unafraid. “Miss Miller, you’re joking. On the contrary, the capsules I sell are good, but I don’t want to sell them to you. Gina Miller, calling you Miss Miller was my respect for you. Asking you and Isabella to leave was also my respect to you. And I don’t think you have forgotten that I resigned from Prover Hospital long ago. You’re not my superior anymore. Why do I have to see you? What authorities do you have?” Ben retorted disdainfully, reminding Gina that he hadn’t forgotten that she had gotten his only son thrown into prison. Therefore, Ben harbored resentment towards Gina.

Isabella couldn’t hold back anymore and finally let out her frustration. “Pah! What good stuff! The main ingredient is cremated remains. You’re lying to your niece to eat this disgusting crap, you b*stard!”
