Wing Of Change
Chapter 38

Frank drove in the speed of light back to his house and found the course of his predicament waiting just like he had been informed by his butler Larry.

His anger was evident at this point as his sight fell on the estranged figure waiting by the side porch leading up to his house.

Each step he took towards the unwanted guest took him a step backward, and down memory lane before he finally came to a halt before her.

Sandra Bassey

The woman who has cost him so much pain and distress was staring right back at him with the same intensity as he had once remembered.

A little smile graced the side of her l*p the moment their eyes met for a split second.

Those eyes!

Those were the same eyes that have lured his senses over the past years and caused him untold pain and even at that, she still has the nerve to show herself at his door step with that same smile on her face.

What a hypocrite she truly is..

Frank never thought a day like this would come when he would look at her and feel absolutely nothing but utter disdain for the woman. The same one he has loved through many steamy nights and cold morning. The very Sandra Bassey he spent most of his nights crying over until Aria showed up and gave a whole new definition to everything he knew to be love.

All the time he spent buying her expensive gifts and overseas vacations, not to mention candle light dinner that would end in a passionate love making into the morning. Her loud m**n would fill his ears like music as he pumped into her over and over again while she screamed his name in between.

That woman standing before his glaring sight was all he ever dreamt about until she ripped out his heart and left him half dead with a promise to never see her again but she was back and was standing right before him but a lot has changed and his thought was occupied with just one name.

Aria!

The same one who has become his every thing and soon she was also going to become his wife!

The thought of Aria becoming his wife brought untold joy to his heart. She became everything he ever wanted without him even realizing it.

Aria came with a different kind of energy. She was kind with high tolerance for the jerk he had become.

Her acceptance level was unconditional and above all she was patient enough to put up with everything he threw at her even when she never deserved any of it.

She stood by him still.

Aria was the real love he couldn’t recognized for six years. She was clothed in support, loyalty and forgiveness and beneath all that, he found his peace of mind and love and that was why Sandra’s very presence was a threat to all that he holds dear.

He has let his feeling controlled him long enough but not this time. Not when he has a lot to loose.

Sandra on the other hand whose face was earlier grace with a warm smile was now putting on a different facial expression and it was nothing close to a smile.

The warning glare on Frank’s face has very much proven to her that she was not welcomed. Not even in the slightest.

“I don’t know how you found this place but you’re not welcome here!” His voice was hard as he stood towering over her rather slim one.

Her face expression was that of total disbelief but she quickly composed herself and put on a brave smile still.

“That’s not how to welcome a lady Frank..” She began but got caught off as he snapped at her.

“You are no lady to me but an unwelcome guest so kindly remove yourself from my property before I do it for you”

The lady looked quite taken back with how enraged he was but choose to play it cool as she squared her shoulder with pride and scoffed at his comment.

“I will leave but not until you hear all I have to say” she replied with the same tone of voice_taking an inch closer.

“I don’t remember inviting you for a court hearing” his gaze shifted from her face and settled on the ring on her finger and he mentally scoff at her.

“Just leave before I loose the little patience I have left”

Frank found it a little bit odd that she was replying him with that tone of voice as if nothing has changed between him and it upset him the more as he was already close to dragging her out if she even trigger him any further with that look in her eyes.

“I didn’t come here to be thrown out like a piece of rag. Is either you listen to me or endure my presence in your house a little longer because am not leaving until you listen to all I have to say” she countered back.

Her acceptance level was unconditional and above all she was patient enough to put up with everything he threw at her even when she never deserved any of it.

“You and I have nothing to say to each other. Whatever we had died the same day you choose to walk out..” He paused for a moment to control his anger as his nose flared in rage…”so leave before I drag you out myself “

His words sent a bit of warning through her as she took a step backward but not enough to send her away.

Frank would never result to violence no matter who was involved. He wasn’t raised in that manner. Deep down in his heart, he knew he couldn’t bring himself to lay a finger on her even if she was the devil herself. She was still a woman after all.

“What are you afraid of huh? That you might finally hear some truth and realized that you were not all that righteous and holy? That you were also wrong?”

He only g*****d in annoyance realizing where she was headed with that manipulative comment of hers. Sandra on the other hand took his silence as liberty to continue.

“Yes, I left you but did you care to replace out why? You only believed what you were told and not what had happened but that’s not why am here”

“Why are you here then? To pick up were you left off? Guess what? You are six years late and still counting”

Pain flashed in her eyes but she was quick to conceal it with a smile.

“In as much as I would have loved for things to be different between us but unfortunately, am not here to rekindle some old flame either. I just want us to talk” she stated matter of fact.

“I don’t care why you are here or why you even bother to come back. Just get out and never show your face here again” he deadpan and walked past her and head inside his house.

It’s obvious she has nothing to say other than irked him further and he was no longer in the mood for any of it. He has entertained her long enough in one day.

As he turned to leave, Frank thought she finally got his point until her next word halted his next step to get away from her.

“It’s about your son!”
