300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
WHAT DO YOU FEEL?
THIRD PERSON POV:
Hazel pulled away from Riley as she heard her name echo repeatedly from Finn.
"I should get going," she said to him, and he nodded with his hands still wrapped tightly around her.
He didn't want to let her.
"I'll be fine. The triplets take care of me very well, and Bella too." When she said this, he shut his eyes, placing a kiss on her forehead.
He knew this, but he didn't want just that. As her mate, he wanted to be her support system, but he knew better than to push it.
"Okay," he muttered, letting her slip out of his hands.
He ran his thumb over her face, wiping off the stain of tears. She held his gaze for a split second before kissing his lips.
"I'll see you at dinner," she said, picking up the box from the ground.
Then she made her way out of the bushy surrounding to the clear path where she saw Finn, who was already walking ahead of her. She hastened her pace, tapping him gently on his shoulder. This startled him, and he turned around with his arms in a defensive fist.
"Easy there!" Her high-pitched voice rang through the back of her throat as she took a step back.
The expression on Finn's face softened as he looked her over, checking every inch of her body to make sure she hadn't been attacked.
"I'm fine. Can we go now?" she asked, turning back towards camp.
One step forward, and he grabbed her hand.
"Not so fast. Where have you been?" he questioned with a brow raised. She racked her brain for a lie. "We're behind, and we're losing to some school. I think it's the school named after Bella," he said in a raised voice.
In a split second, she found one, and she was about to speak when Riley walked into the clear path, causing Finn's expression to harden.
"You were with him, and we had to pause the game to look for you. Unbelievable," he sighed.
Sensing the awkward situation, Riley walked ahead, causing Hazel to curse him silently while wishing they had finalized the mate bond. That way, she could tell him what she thought of him.
"I'm sorry about that, and it won't happen again," Hazel pleaded, but Finn couldn't do much either.
They walked back to camp to replace that the other schools had already returned. They had only two out of the ten treasures.
"We won yesterday," Hazel said, scratching the back of her neck to avoid the death glares from her schoolmates.

The next day came in a rush, and the schools played a game called the Survival Skill Contest. An unpopular school won, leaving the popular schools on a losing streak except for Howlstone, because of their first-day victory.
"We're on a losing streak, but I don't mind because I got to know you," Riley said to Hazel, who lay beside him on the grass, gazing into the beautiful night sky, which had little stars scattered on the dark surface.
She had been lost in thought for a long time. These weren't just thoughts-they were dirty thoughts, making her wonder how long she could last.
The third day was already here, and she knew they had only four nights left with each other, but a part of her was still scared.
"I'm glad I have you too, even if it will last for a short time," she said, averting his gaze.
He sat up at once, tilting his face towards her with his brows creased.
"What do you mean by that?" he questioned, causing her to sit up with a sigh.
"We have only four nights left, and then we'll be drawn into the world of constant phone calls, trying to keep up with each other in school. That's going to wear us out, and we might not keep up."
He was silent for a moment after she said this. Then he faced her, reaching for her face with his hands, cupping it.
Their lips met in a brief kiss before he spoke. "I told you I'll be here, and I understand you. So no matter how much validation you need from me, I'll be here to provide it."
She felt a pleasant sensation in her abdomen when he said this, causing her to battle with her urges for a few seconds.
Screw this, she muttered to herself, slamming her lips against his. Her hands tightly wrapped around his neck as she pressed herself against his body, wanting more of him. In response, he wrapped her slender waist in his muscular arms, closing the space between them as their lips engaged in a gentle battle where he sought dominance.
Her lips parted gracefully for his tongue, and they intertwined in a fit of lust as they tugged hard at each other. His hands roamed her body, then he grabbed her butt in his hands, caressing it softly, sending untold emotions down her body that left her weak in the knees.
She pulled away suddenly, and they stared into each other's eyes, which glistened under the beautiful night sky. "I think we need to stop," she said, trying to catch her breath.
"Really?" he asked, brushing his lips against hers, waiting for her to push him away. But she leaned in further, deepening the kiss as their tongues met once more.
He broke the kiss.
"I thought you wanted us to stop?" he asked, but as she leaned in again, he stopped her. "Hazel, I want to know what you feel. Am I forcing things?" he questioned, locking his eyes into hers.
She was about to speak when her phone rang, interrupting the moment.
"It's Bella. I have to take this," Hazel said, slipping away from his grip.
She stood up to take the call, silently thanking Bella for stepping in, as she didn't want to continue with the awkward conversation they were having.
"I'm fine, and I'll be right there," she said to Bella. Then she turned to Riley. "We should head back to camp. It's getting late," she said, and he nodded to her request.
As they walked back to camp, Riley kept beating himself up silently for the way he acted around her. He tried to convince himself he could do better than wait around like a stray dog.
'I have to control myself because she isn't so into me,' he said to himself as they walked back.
His troubled mind didn't let him realize they had made it to camp until Hazel gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight, Riley," she said, making her way to her cabin where the triplets and Bella stood. "Goodnight," he said, turning to leave.
He didn't go after her like he would always do, and although his heart felt hurt, he knew he had to leave.
Hazel watched him from the deck of their cabin until he disappeared into the dark night, then she let out a loud sigh. "Goodnight, guys," she muttered, making her way back to the cabin without hugging Bella or trying to engage her in a conversation.
The four of them stared at each other as she shut the door of the cabin, then Kai let out a sigh.
"This is definitely not the camp activity I expected to meet this year. I do not do too well in matchmaking," he said, and Bella's brows curved into a frown. "But I can try for you." He grinned widely, and Bella scoffed.
Her face was drawn down, and she wanted to help Hazel, but she didn't know if this was the night Hazel would shun her, as she had kept a lot of things away from her for the past few days.
"I'll go after her and see what happens," Bella said, and the triplets nodded at her decision.
Then she got to her feet, leaning in to kiss the three of them simultaneously.
"It's like putting three babies to sleep," she said, and they rolled their eyes as a chuckle escaped her lips.
Bella made her way into the cabin, and to their room, to meet Hazel curled up in bed with her blanket covering her entire body.
"Hazel," she called out, but she didn't respond, causing her to sit on the bed.
In one tug, she pulled off the blanket, bringing her face to face with Hazel, whose tear-stained eyes startled her. Her heart skipped a beat, and she imagined what Riley must have done.
"Did Riley do this to you?" she questioned, her tone rising. Hazel kept mute.
"Hazel, please speak to me, and I'll get the guys to teach him a lesson, please," she said, reaching for her hand and
caressing it.
There was a moment of silence.
"Okay, I'm getting the guys," Bella attempted to stand when Hazel pulled her back.
"Riley didn't do anything." Bella's butt landed back on the bed when Hazel said this, then she stared at her, confused.
"Fae? Sebastian? Who did?"
Hazel shook her head, tucking her hands in between her lap.
"I did," she sniffed. "Riley seems like a nice guy, but I am confused because I want him, and at the same time, I do not want him. I fear he is going to hurt me, and I do not know what to do."
Bella's racing heart calmed a bit as she looked at her best friend.
"My poor baby," she said as she patted Hazel's head gently. "It will be fine, and I need you to follow your heart. Not the scared part of your heart. I mean, take the leap of faith."
Hazel flipped her lashes as she bore her eyes on Bella.
"I mean, we have focused on the supposed good people for a while, and nothing has really been born out of it, so what if you try out the bad?" She questioned, and Hazel's mind tried to understand what she was playing at. "Noah and Sebastian all seemed good in the beginning, and they all turned out to hurt you. We view Riley as potential evil since he is from the Storm family, so why not try him out?"
Bella's words were encouraging to her, giving her a bit of hope, so she sat up.
"You are right," Hazel said as she reached for her phone, which was on the bed.
She put a call across to Riley, but he didn't pick up. She tried it about three times, and it was the same.
"Oh, forget it," she said, curling her feet to her chest as she tossed her phone away. "He is mad at me, and he is probably somewhere having fun with other girls. So much for trying," she said, and Bella chuckled.
"And I thought I was obsessed with my mates," Bella said, and then she inched closer to Hazel, grabbing her hands.
"You can always try tomorrow," Bella caressed her hand, and she scoffed, throwing her head backward, allowing it to lean on the wall.
Her mind raced for a while as she thought of the best way out, then the thought of meeting him crossed her mind. "Or tonight," she said, pushing her legs off the bed. "Goodnight, Bella, and I love you," she raced out of the room without thinking twice.
