THIRD PERSON POV:

The message on Hazel's phone startled her, sending a jolt through her body. She jumped to her feet, her breath hitching in her throat.

Her clothes lay scattered around the room, and she hurried to collect them, slipping each piece on in a rush. She looked over at Riley, who was still fast asleep, and she slipped out of the cabin without a word with her heart aching with each step she took away from him.

As Hazel rushed through the shadows back to her cabin, she nervously changed Riley's name on her phone to "Bella."

Fae had a way of getting what she wanted, and she couldn't disobey her due to the Nyx's spell, so she had to be in character. Her heart raced as she made her way inside, the early morning chill biting at her skin.

When the siren blared across the campgrounds, Bella blinked awake. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of Hazel sitting on her own bed across the room.

"I thought you were at Riley's?" Bella asked, her voice groggy with sleep. She gave Hazel a confused look.

Hazel forced a smile, despite the tension gripping her chest.

"Yeah, I left early. Wanted to make sure I had time to get ready for the day." She tried to keep her voice light, but Bella's stare lingered for a moment as she suspected something.

To avoid more questions, she adopted an exaggeratedly cheerful tone.

"Last night was amazing! We... we did it," she gushed, her voice climbing to a high pitch as she forced a smile to stay. "I never imagined it could be this good. He's... dreamy, honestly!"

The remnants of sleep in Bella's eyes vanished as she sat up in bed as Hazel's speech piqued her interest. "Tell me everything," she said eagerly, propping her chin in her hands, her elbows resting on her knees as she leaned forward. Relief washed over Hazel as Bella seemed to buy the act. Her words flowed smoothly, and for the first time that morning, her heart settled slightly. If Bella believed her, she could navigate this mess without too many questions, leaving her free to deal with Fae's threat.

After breakfast, the entire camp marched toward the central grounds for the day's announcement. The buzz of conversation filled the air as campers gathered around, the warm sun slapping its hotness against them. Hazel and the group were almost there when she suddenly realized she'd forgotten her purse back at the food hall.

Her mind, which was distracted by the meeting with Fae, had been in disarray all day. Fortunately, the purse only held nothing much. Her phone was still with her.

"I need to grab my purse. Come with me," Hazel said hurriedly to Bella, grabbing her by the hand and tugging her away from the group.

Bella blinked in surprise, coming to a halt as the triplets looked on with raised eyebrows. Before Bella could respond, Hazel had already dashed off, weaving her way through the crowd. She reached the food hall in time, spotting the purse still on the table where they'd eaten breakfast.

Bella arrived moments later, panting and leaning against the doorway.

"What... was that for?" she gasped, her voice echoing off the empty chairs and tables.

Hazel grabbed the purse and walked. "Sorry. I just didn't want to lose it."

They made their way back toward the campgrounds, the sounds of laughter and chatter growing louder as they approached. Hazel's pulse quickened as she spotted Riley and Ian in the distance. Her gut twisted as her mind replayed Fae's texts.

"We should go this way," Hazel said, pulling Bella's hand and steering them toward a different path, trying to disappear into the crowd.

But it was too late. Riley had already seen her.

His face fell as he turned to Ian, who stood stiffly beside him, the veins on his forehead bulging with suppressed anger.

"You were right. She's avoiding me," Riley muttered, frustration etched in his voice. "But why? She came to me last night... and this morning she was gone."

He took out his phone and sent a quick text.

"What's up? Where are you? I can't replace you in this crowd."

From across the field, he watched her glance at her phone, then quickly slip it back into her pocket, avoiding eye contact.

Ian grabbed Riley's arm, stopping him from sending more messages. "Let it go, man."

The entire day, Hazel couldn't shake the weight of the impending meeting with Fae. By the time five PM rolled around, she was worn out from overthinking. Lost in thought, she glanced at Bella, who was lying on her bed. The steady rise and fall of her chest was the only indication that time was still moving.

Silently, Hazel slid off her bed and into her sandals, grabbing a clean shirt and shorts from her drawer. She quickly dressed and snuck out of the cabin, her heart pounding in her chest as she made her way to Fae's cabin-600.

When she arrived, the wooden door creaked open almost instantly, and Hazel found herself face to face with Fae, the most hated blonde in camp. A smile hung on her face as she pulled Hazel into a tight hug, sliding Hazel's tote bag from her shoulder.

"Hazel!" Fae exclaimed, her voice oozing with false sweetness. "It must have been so exhausting being around Bella. I'm so sorry you had to go through that," she said, her arms still wrapped around Hazel's stiff frame.

To get in character, Hazel threw her arms around Fae's skin, which exposed as she had nothing more than a sports bra

on.

Hazel winced, subtly pinching Fae's side, causing her to yelp and pull back.

"Sorry," Hazel muttered. "I'm not used to such tight hugs." She tried to hide the smile on her face.

Fae huffed, raising an eyebrow as she walked toward the living room. Hazel couldn't help but notice how large the cabin was-almost the same size as hers, but adorned in shades of pink and purple.

"Finally!" Sebastian's voice cut through Hazel's thoughts, heightening the pit of dread in her stomach. He stood by the wall, a smirk playing on his lips.

Fae, however, only had business in mind.

She opened the fridge and offered, "What do you care for? Drinks? Snacks? Anything for my potential sister-in-law," she added with a smirk, trying to keep her face neutral, and welcoming.

"Just water, please," Hazel replied, taking a seat on the plush couch that felt uncomfortably soft beneath her. "And... Riley and I... we barely know each other."

Sebastian rushed to the fridge, retrieving a bottle of water while Fae began to lay out her false plans to Hazel.

"We don't have much time. I'll need to act tonight," Fae said, her voice low and serious. She winked at Sebastian, who promptly grabbed Hazel's bag.

As Fae kept talking, Hazel struggled to appear calm, as though the couch beneath her would swallow her. She didn't notice as Sebastian discreetly grabbed her phone and sent a message to both "Bellas" listed in her contacts. After deleting the evidence, he slid the phone back into her bag.

"Make sure Bella stays in the food hall," Fae said. "Everything ends tonight." She added, and Hazel nodded, rising to her feet.

She couldn't stand being in the cabin a second longer, so she grabbed her tote bag, forcing a smile as she headed toward the door.

"Don't forget your water," Fae said sweetly, holding out the bottle. Hazel took it, her hands shaking slightly as she stepped outside.

As Hazel disappeared down the path, Fae turned to Sebastian. "Did you do it?"

He smirked. "Yeah, I saw two numbers with the name Bella listed on her phone, and I sent the message to both of

them."

Fae grinned, patting him on the back as she sauntered toward her bedroom. "It all ends tonight."

Meanwhile, both Bella and Riley received a text from "Hazel":

"Meet me in the woods by 6:30 tonight. I have something important to tell you."
