300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
HIDE AND KILL
THIRD PERSON POV:
The moment Ryder told Fred about Bella's escapade, he thought it wise to keep an eye on him and his friends. He knew how irrational one could act for their mate, and he could tell that eventually, they would come up with a stupid plan to save Bella.
"Dad, you cannot do this to us! Bella needs us, and-"
"She will get all the help she needs. Now stop acting like a child who has no sense of reasoning!" the alpha gritted his teeth, looking into Ryder's eyes.
The gang of four kept struggling against the grip of the men. Hazel wanted to use her powers, but the alpha glared at her.
"Do not think of it, young woman!" he ordered her, and she was not stupid enough to break an alpha's order. He had been kind and cool with them, but he was an alpha, and right now, he was blazing in fury.
"I care about Bella as much as you do, and I want nothing more than for her to be okay, but do you think you are going about it the right way?" he questioned the triplets, then turned to Hazel. "You have been named the smartest at Howlstone, so I am sure you have gone through history books. Do you really think you stand a chance against Enzo? I do not know what is going on, but I will rescue Bella."
Before any of them could speak, Alpha Fred commanded the guards. "Lock them up in the royal suite and keep an eye on them. On no account should they leave," he said, and the guards took away the gang of four while Fred walked into his living room, trying to catch a breath.
The weight of the situation was heavy, and he knew he couldn't take it alone, so he pulled out his phone and put a call across to Herald. Herald picked up on the third ring.
"Look who called," Herald said in a sarcastic tone. "Are you here to lecture me more on how to raise my daughter?" he asked, and Fred scoffed.
"I only did what Evelyn would have wanted, and I am not here to start a fight, Herald. In fact, we might need to start cooperating often because our daughter is in trouble." Hearing Fred say OUR struck a couple of nerves in the Herald, but TROUBLE overshadowed it.
"What the hell are you talking about?" he asked at once.
"Bella ran away about two weeks ago, and before you come for me, I wasn't aware until today. She is supposed to be in school like her friends, but she decided to avenge Evelyn's death."
"H-How? What do you mean? What the fuck, Fred?"
"Please, you need to calm down because I am going to rescue her."
"From where? Where does she need to be rescued from?" Herald yelled at the top of his voice.
He had lost everything, and Bella was the last person keeping his life together. Fred had deprived him of a happy life with his wife, and he wasn't going to let that happen with his daughter.
"She is with the vampires." Herald felt his blood dry up as Fred mentioned this. He couldn't believe his ears, and at first, he hoped Fred was trying to pull a joke on him, but he didn't hear him backing it up with a laugh.
"And you are telling me this calmly?" Herald questioned. "If anything happens to-"
"Hold up before you start throwing threats. We are on the same team. I care for Bella as much as you do, and that is why I am calling you," Fred cut him off at once. "I need you to set up a meeting for all the Alphas in Moon Fire. We will assemble at your place, and we can replace a solution."
As the top alpha of the four packs, it was Herald's duty to set up a meeting, but he knew it was close to impossible to assemble everyone at his place in less than a week.
"It will take about a week, and what am I supposed to do the entire time, knowing my daughter is in the clutches of vampires?" he asked.
"Just to be clear, the vampires love her, but I think she is under some kind of spell. They are probably trying to get her on their side because of the whole unifier bullshit, but I do not trust it." When Fred said this, Herald let out a mocking laugh.
"So I should be glad the vampires love my daughter?" he questioned. "I have never been happier!" he yelled. "You are not getting the point. She can stay there as long as she wants, and nothing will happen to her. They need her for their missions," Fred said, then decided to let go of the information that would send Herald spiraling. "Set up a meeting, and they will all come running in today once you tell them that Enzo Darkmoore has been released."
**
Since Enzo had been released, he hadn't done anything significant with the vampires. He spent his entire time trying to fit into the latest fashion trends, eating the latest food. He had been asleep for a long time, and he wanted to live a little.
"I am so bored right now," he groaned, throwing his right leg on the arm of his throne with his left hand resting on the other side of the throne, which he used as support for his jaw.
"What more do you want, my king?" Ray asked, and Enzo yawned, leaning back.
He had explored as much as he could think of, but he wanted more.
"Perhaps you would want to explore the human world?" Sue asked, and then an idea crossed his mind.
"Where is the hybrid girl?" he asked, and Sue's brows creased slightly. Enzo had taken a liking to Bella, and she didn't like it. None of them did because Bella was the outcast, and she could easily sell them off.
"She is probably in her room," she said, and then he sat up straight, stroking his beard.
"Summon her. I would love to play a little game with her," he said, and she nodded. Then she left to replace Bella. Bella was lying on her bed, thinking of her life as usual, when Sue barged into the room without knocking. Her brows were wrinkled, which made Bella's heart skip a beat as she wondered what she must have done at the moment.
"Enzo wants to see you," she said flatly, and Bella swallowed hard. For the past few days, he only smiled when he saw her, and it scared her to know he had taken a liking to her.
It was both good and bad for a villain to like you because you can never tell if he is preparing to kill you, or he actually wants to protect you. Since she didn't have a choice, she got out of bed and followed Sue at once until they reached Enzo's chambers.
"My favorite person!" A smile crept up Enzo's face as soon as Bella walked into the room. She gave a slight bow, and he frowned. "Come on, stand up. You do not have to do that, and you can call me Enzo."
Sue and her cohorts glared at each other. Deep down, they were all scared that Enzo had ulterior motives, but the other two didn't care-only Sue. She felt it was the link bond she had with Bella that made her care, and the fact she never had her own child. Bella was the only thing closer to that.
"I am at your service, Master," Bella said, trying to sound polite because she too couldn't read Enzo's actual intention, and the last thing she wanted was to be vampire chow.
"Come, love." Bella stepped forward at once, and then he took her hand. "I could have easily made you my bride, but you are too young, so you will be my sidekick." Bella stifled a smile at his words, her heart pounding hard in her chest.
"I am honored," she managed to choke out.
A wide smile spread across Enzo's lips, and he cleared his throat at once.
"Good, that you have agreed to be my sidekick. I thought I would have to beg so hard for you to accept my request." This was the part she hated, where he would act like he wouldn't rip her head off at once if she had rejected his offer. Almost as if she had a choice, but in reality, she had no say.
"So, how about we go for our first mission today?" he asked, and Bella nodded.
"That would be lovely." That was a lie because she feared what the mission would be.
Enzo stood there for a while, staring into her eyes.
"I have thought of a very perfect game for us. How about hide and kill?"
