300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
I CANNOT HELP
Bella:
The week had been awfully tiring with Ryder and me trying to keep our little secret. It felt so good that all I wanted to do was show it to everyone, even though it meant dealing with the twins, too. For all it was worth, Finn was a good kisser, and I loved it.
I had just gotten to school, and I couldn't get my mind off what happened in the janitor's closet. It still brought a pleasant feeling to my belly and a few tingles between my thighs.
While I was daydreaming, I took out my books, and as soon as I was done, I shut my locker only to see three familiar faces staring at me. This time I couldn't run like I always did because the hallway was full, and their faces were not tainted with even the littlest smile.
"Aubrey, Chelsea, Rebby, I... I didn't see you there," I said, clasping my books to my chest with my face turned to the side.
Ever since I got what they wanted from the Labyrinth, I had avoided them because I never really cared about their stupid club, but beating Fae made me feel good, and I needed to complete the streak. Plus, they weren't very serious with me being queen because Fae had all their respect.
"Where have you been?" Rebby asked, with her arms crossed and her brows raised.
"Yeah," Aubrey chipped in as her teeth went into a ferocious battle with the gum in her mouth. I took a deep breath.
Chelsea, on the other hand, kept mute because she was the footman and barely had the liberty to speak.
"I'm sorry I have missed the meetings, but I have been busy, and I wish I had more time. I do not want to fail out this year, and-"
"Shut it!" Rebby commanded, shaking my entire being with my books, almost falling from my hand, which caused me to go mute at once as I stared at her.
What was she? She seemed to command more power than Fae, and yet the entire school fell to Fae's feet. That was a mystery I was yet to uncover.
"The meeting holds today after school, and you had better be in attendance, or you will watch the multitude devour their queen," Rebby said, handing me a fancy pink envelope which smelled like jasmine and lavender flowers. She then slid her hand beneath her hair at the back of her neck, flicking it in my face.
"Girls, shall we?" she asked, and Aubrey sized me up before they turned around, marching off elegantly with their heels, short skirts, and blazers.
Damn! They were hot.

After school, I made my way to Aubrey and Rebby's apartment like they had asked me
to. When I got there, a maid received me, leading me into Rebby's room.
"You are here," Aubrey said, sitting up, and Chelsea followed suit while Rebby lay down, giving off a weak sigh.
"Do I have a choice?" I shrugged, leaning my head against the door.
I looked at the girls, trying to read the expressions on their faces, then I noticed that Fae and her fairies were missing. I tried to join a few pieces together, which made me suspect all wasn't well in the sisterhood.
"Rebby, come on, you cannot be like this forever. How are you supposed to exact revenge when you have given up easily?" Aubrey asked, and Rebby sighed again.
Aubrey rolled her eyes, getting to her feet. Then she walked up to me, grabbing my hand, and pulling me toward the dresser where she made me sit.
"It has come to our notice you do not follow the dress code of the sisterhood," she said, lifting my chin with a finger as she looked at my face. "How is a queen supposed to rule her subjects without the rules of the group?" she questioned, and my face became scrunched up.
I could tell something was wrong because even after I handed them what they wanted, they never really acted as though I meant anything to them.
"Your skirts are too long. You do not style your hair, and your lips, gosh, you need a goddamn scrub and some lipstick."
Her scrutiny irritated me badly, and I wasn't ready for this because I had to study with Hazel in a couple of minutes, as my test was in a few days.
"Fae has left you guys, hasn't she? And now you need my help for something."
When I stated this, she kept mute, clasping her hands which were placed on her thighs as she glanced at the others.
"I'd rather you go straight to the point because I am exhausted," I said, and then she sighed.
"Fine!" her voice sounded high. "Fae has broken the rules of the sisterhood by having sex with Aubrey's boyfriend, Ernest."
The moment she said this, Rebby's voice rumbled in the background before turning into full-blown tears. It was unlike the Rebby I know, and I wondered how she could put up such an alpha female personality in public.
"Would you shut the hell up, Rebby? I am trying to help here!" Aubrey yelled, and then she glared at Chelsea, who rolled her eyes before patting Rebby gently on her back. Aubrey faced me.
"And how will I be of help?"
"Good thing you asked." The corners of her lips raised. "You are an alpha princess, and
a soon-to-be Luna. You are supposedly the richest student at the moment at Howlstone, and you can provide yourself with the necessary materials for a glow-up. One that would blow Fae away."
I was about to respond when she said this, but then my phone beeped. I took it out of my bag, and the screen displayed a text from Ryder.
"Where have you been? I searched the entire school for you."
Seeing his text warmed my body, and as soon as my mind drifted away to the moment
in the janitor's closet, I bit my lip. I quickly texted him about my whereabouts, then I kept smiling at my screen.
"Are you even listening to me?" When Aubrey asked, I released my lip, hoping she
didn't see me.
I cleared my throat, wanting to speak, but then my phone beeped again.
"I am on my way!"
"Bella!"
When Aubrey yelled my name, I got to my feet, then I placed a hand on her shoulder.
"While it baffles me you think I can help, I am honored indeed, but Fae isn't someone I would want to fight at the moment. In fact, my life has never been peaceful, and I am not looking for any scandal," I replied.
"So, are you helping us or not?" Aubrey asked, and I raised a brow while she opened her arms, cocking her head to the left. My phone beeped again, but I didn't check the message this time.
"No, I won't be of help, and I would like to take my leave now," I said, walking away at
once.
The moment I left the room, I opened the text.
"I will meet you two blocks away, and I have something to show you."
His text sent an inrush of emotions to my chest, and all I could ask was what he had to
show me.
