Bella:

Secretly compelling Ryder to do what I wanted by fooling Fae into thinking he was on her side was my only shot at getting rid of her. The first thing I did at the rising of the sun was pray to the moon goddess, hoping my plan would go smoothly, because that was the only way I could exist in peace with my mates at the school.

As I sat at the cafe table with Hazel beside me, I stared at Ryder and Fae, who were a few tables away, and watched her put her hands all over him.

"You have barely touched your food, and it's bothering me. You all are mates, but he is an asshole, and you have two against one," Hazel said. I forced a smile, picked at my meat, and then looked up again as I took a bite.

'How long will this take? I am losing my patience with her, and I want her off my body.' I heard Ryder speak, and I widened my eyes, pausing with my fork of meat hanging close to my lips.

'Did I just hear you speak or...?'

'Bella, we have fulfilled the mating ritual and are fully connected. I do not know why I couldn't hear you the entire time we split, but I am glad I can now. So, back to the problem. Get her the fuck away from me.'

This made me laugh as he was dying of frustration.

I let out a cough as Hazel wouldn't stop staring at me like I had gone mad. She probably wondered why I was laughing at the fact my mate didn't want me.

"I hate her so much, and I wish the goddess would just send down a single streak of lightning," Hazel groaned as she glanced back at them. "Where are Kai and Finn when you...?"

"Right here," Finn answered as he and Kai placed their trays on the table.

They both sat side by side on the bench, planting kisses on my cheeks simultaneously, which made my belly flutter. When their eyes met Ryder's, they both hissed.

"Son of a bitch!" Finn growled, and I held his hand to calm him down.

'Hurry this up. They both hate me, and I do not want to keep apologizing, so can it end now?' Ryder asked, and I asked him to leave with her.

When they stood up, he wrapped his arm around her waist, giving her a forced smile. She tried to kiss him, but he shifted his face, letting her lips land on his cheek. Then he grabbed her hand and left the cafeteria for the classroom building.

I hurried with my food, and the twins accompanied Hazel and me to class with other students following behind us. As we approached the front of the class building, Mr. Ezekiel walked past us. He was the oldest teacher in school, possessing every bit of knowledge one would need to become a fully grown and strong wolf. I tried to slow Hazel and the twins as we counted our steps up the stairs, and just as we were five steps away, Mr. Ezekiel pushed the front door open, causing a bucket of paint to tip over his head.

The plan worked, causing me to breathe a sigh of relief. There was only about a month left for the semester to end, and Fae would be gone. I would have a peaceful ending, plus the winter break to double it.

He took a step forward, and then he came crashing down to the ground, causing me to gasp. Hazel and I rushed in with the twins to help the man on the ground, and Fae stepped out of the room closest to the door, chuckling darkly. "That is why you do not mess with me, Bella......."

She couldn't complete her statement when she saw me untouched, while Mr. Ezekiel groaned on the ground. She swallowed hard, trying to make a run for it, but when she turned around, she saw students had already recorded everything, and people were replaying it.

"Gimme that!" she demanded, snatching someone's phone from the crowd. But when she had taken about two, she saw it was a losing battle, so she stood there with her heart pounding in her chest.

Ryder walked out of the class he had been hiding in while we managed to get Mr. Ezekiel to sit up on the ground. Fae called out to him, but he ignored her, making his way towards us. Kai stood in front of me at once, and I grabbed his hand.

"He is with us, and I will explain later," I said, and he glanced at Finn before stepping back.

"I... I can't believe you would do this to me!" Fae yelled, her throat veins threatening to pop out and her eyes shimmering with tears.

"Side with my best friends and mate?" Ryder said, looking at us. "Unbelievable, right?" The twins, who had been on edge with him, loosened up when he spoke this way.

Fae, feeling her world cave in, looked around for her fairies. I saw Tonia and Pearl sneak into the crowd.

"We had a deal, Bella, and you broke it! I will get you with....." She checked her phone at once, scrolling through it hurriedly to see that there was no evidence, and she couldn't make a claim.

She walked up to me with labored breathing.

"I know you better than you do, Fae, and I knew you would betray me. But I found a way to get rid of everything," I said, making a quick glance at Ryder. Then I watched her face crack more with tears drumming down her eyes.

"Putting down a bad bitch hasn't felt better." I crossed my arms across my chest.

This felt like a crime scene, and although I didn't want the poor man to get hurt, she made it easier. Expulsion would probably be the case.

"What the hell is going on here?" I heard my mother's voice, and for the first time in my sixteen years of existence, I was glad to hear it.

The crowd cleared at once, and she stepped into the halls with a flood of teachers who hadn't been able to get into the school because of the crowd. When mother set her eyes on me and my friends, a frown came to her face, and she marched up to me.

"Bellarina Runestone, what the hell have you...?"

"She saved me," Mr. Ezekiel said before my mother could finish. "I do not know what is going on with these kids, but someone needs to put a stop to this, because the Stormclaw girl is a witch, and I have said it before!" The man raised his voice, and my mother rolled her eyes.

"Ezekiel, do not be dramatic," my mother said, and the man got to his feet.

"Dramatic? Getting covered in paint is dramatic? She almost killed me this morning, and my back still hurts like hell! Look at me! Is this being dramatic? My grandchild is homeschooled because of her, and this school needs to do something, or I will single-handedly hold a protest!"

My mother turned to Fae, who tried to play the pity card with her face drawn down.

"Everyone, to your class! Ms. Stormclaw, my office now!" Mother yelled, grabbing Fae's hand.

I stood with my friends, the last laugh hanging on my face. It was truly the end of an era.
