300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
MORE LIES
Third person pov:
Bella dashed out of the closet, pushing through the crowd of people, ignoring the triplets. They would easily forgive her as their mate, but Hazel was her best friend, and she knew how hurt she would be.
"Bella, come back here! Where the hell are you going?" Kai yelled, running after her while Ryder charged at Fae, grabbing her hand roughly and pressing her against the wall.
Finn turned to the students. "Enough!" he yelled, making his way toward them, causing everyone to empty out of the room. He shut the door behind them.
"Let me go!" Fae struggled to release her grip from Ryder, causing him to tighten it even more. As she stared into his eyes, fear and jealousy enveloped her.
That was the look he gave people when they talked trash about her when they were together, and now she was on the receiving end because of Bella.
That look meant she had already lost, and he would never be hers.
"I told you to stop messing with our mate, and this time, I am not going to let you go easy," he breathed, and she shoved the paper in his face.
"She came up with those dares, and you have no right to hold me this way!" Her voice trembled underneath him, but she tried hard to sound brave.
He grabbed the paper from her, and Finn walked up to him. They both stared down at the write-up, recognizing Bella's handwriting, which caused them to glance at each other briefly, wondering what Bella was playing at.
Ryder tossed the paper at her and made his way toward the door. "Count yourself lucky, Stormclaw!" he gritted, causing her heart to sink further. He was addressing her by her surname, something he did to someone he despised, and she had made the list of those people.
As Bella searched the entire house for Hazel, she spotted her through a window, leaning on a pillar outside the house, still sobbing.
Bella rushed outside without her coat, while Kai yelled at her, but she didn't turn back, so he left to get their coats. The moment Hazel saw her, she moved a few steps away, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.
"Leave me alone, Bella," she said, but Bella wouldn't stop.
She went after her, reaching for her shoulder, causing Hazel to face her with her brows drawn down. "What do you want from me, Bella? Did making out with my boyfriend make you happy?" she sniffed, and Bella shook her head with a scoff.
"How low do you think I can go, Hazel? I didn't make out with Sebastian, and I would never do that. This is all Fae's doing, and-"
"How should I know? You have been hanging out with her the entire week, so what makes you both different?" she screamed in Bella's face.
The cold was already biting deep into Bella's skin, but she didn't realize this because she was focused on her best friend. Bella pushed out all the tears in her glands, trying to convince Hazel.
"Hazel, plea-" Bella couldn't complete her sentence when Sebastian wheeled his car to where they were standing, then he blared the horn for Hazel.
"The school gate is locked, and I am not leaving without you," he said, and Hazel glanced at him and then at Bella. At that moment, the triplets rushed through the door.
While Finn and Kai went after her, Ryder rushed to get the car.
"Bella!" they yelled, coming after her as Hazel turned towards Sebastian.
"Please... do not leave with him." Bella grabbed her hand with every muscle in her heart, crumbling. She was about to lose her best friend. "Hazel, please, you are my best friend," she pleaded, causing Hazel to yank her hand away.
"You should have thought of that before you walked into the closet with him," Hazel said, then she made to leave, and Bella went after her.
"What was I to do? I couldn't get naked in front of the school, and-" Before she could finish, Hazel got into the car, slamming the door in Bella's face.
She reached out for the door handle, but Kai pulled her towards him, and she watched Sebastian speed off. "Are you out of your mind, Bella?" Finn yelled. She stared at both of them with tears shimmering in her eyes. She didn't know what to do at that point, and being with them wasn't soothing as usual.
"At least put on your jacket. You are going to kill yourself!" Kai said in a raised tone.
She turned and made to walk away, rubbing her cold shoulders, her body shaking from the cold, and her teeth chattering.
Ryder wheeled the car, stopping right in front of her, and rolling the glass down.
"Get in!"
When he said this, she hesitated, and he said, "I'm trying not to lose my mind here, Bella. Do not make me get out because of you. You are nothing compared to the three of us, and it will take me only seconds to get your ass into the car, so get in!"
Before she could take a step, Finn slammed her on his shoulder, tossing her into the car and getting inside, while Kai got into the front seat and Ryder drove off.
As Sebastian sped down the road to his house, Hazel leaned towards the window, looking outside at the houses on the street as they turned into a blur because of the tears in her eyes. She wondered if she had made the wrong decision. Sebastian grabbed her thigh, and she glanced at him before returning her gaze to the window with more tears escaping her eyes. Her heart was heavy, but Bella had betrayed her. She didn't want her to go naked, but she could have come after her, and they could have fought off Fae and the others who wanted her to go naked. But instead, she went in with Sebastian.
Bella had everything, and somehow she wanted hers. Both her parents were alive, and Hazel had none. She had three mates, and Hazel had lost hers. Then Sebastian wouldn't stop complimenting Bella's beauty, and although she had always thought Bella prettier than her, she wasn't ugly, and she wanted people to see her too. Even when Bella dressed like a geek, the triplets were madly in love with her, and Hazel was yet a shadow.
Hazel didn't notice the car had stopped until Sebastian opened her door, startling her. She sighed and got out of the car, ignoring him as she made her way to the front door. This wasn't the best option, but she couldn't go with the triplets because Bella would be there, and she knew they would rain down on her, and she didn't want to be in an environment that would aggravate her anger. Bella was her best friend, and she wanted to get through this moment. "Please, babe, say something." Sebastian's words made her stomach turn unpleasantly, and as he held her hand, all she could feel was a chill up her body.
He had a part to play, and he went to the closet with Bella.
"Please, open the door. I want to have some rest. I need to study tomorrow, and I never should have come to this stupid party." She withdrew her hand, trying to hold back the tear that threatened to fall. "You do not deserve my tears," she said, and he shook his head, trying to grab her. "Sebastian, please! I swear, I will walk out of the gate and stay on the streets if you do not open this door!"
Seeing how hostile she got, he knew he had to approach her calmly.
"Okay, okay." He slid the card on the door, and as soon as it was open, Hazel marched in, making her way into the reception. He shut the door, and as she opened the door to the living room, he grabbed her hand, pressing her back against the wall with a leg in between hers as he pressed his lips to hers, but she pushed his face away.
He stopped, panting.
"Please listen to me," he said, and she looked him in the eye.
"So you can tell me how you love Bella and-"
"I do not love Bella, okay!" he pulled away from her as he yelled. Even he was surprised at the weight he had to pull
to say that because he was crazy and in love with Bella.
"Then why did you leave with her?"
"Because I had to at the moment. We didn't touch each other, and we were miles apart."
"That's how it starts-innocent at first, until it becomes an affair," she said, moving her index and middle fingers of both hands in a mocking gesture, her eyes narrowing as she spoke.
Sebastian rubbed his hand over his face, inhaling deeply through the heavy silence. The air between them was thick with tension, each second stretching into an eternity. Then he walked toward her, his steps slow and deliberate, as she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed.
"I love you, Hazel, and I would never do anything to hurt you. If I didn't, then I wouldn't be spending this much time trying to convince you," he said, and she looked at him, her expression softening. "I came to this pack because of you. Would I do that if I didn't love you? Please." He buried his face in her neck.
"Then show me that you love me," she said, and he pulled away as they locked eyes. "Show me, Seb-" Before she could finish, he claimed her lips in a kiss, lifting her up and wrapping her legs around his body...
