Navy

“You must be hungry, Cameron.” Knox said, taking my hand,

“Let’s all go eat.” The three of us walked towards the kitchen. I stood in the middle with Cam and Knox on either side of me, each holding my hand.

“Did I miss something?” Cameron asked, leaning over to whisper in my ear.

“Your guess is as good as mine.” I mumbled.

“Why are you both so skeptical? I’m a reasonable man.” Knox chuckled, easily overhearing us.

“I think we need some ground rules here.” I sighed as we reached the kitchen,

“We all need to talk.” I ordered my mates to sit.

“What about, angel?” Cameron looked at me intensely. I sat between them,

“First off, you two need to take turns with your terms of endearment and possessiveness. I can only handle one of you at a time.” I said.

“Oh, just one at a time, huh?” Knox said in his husky tone. I kicked him under the table,

“We are not going there right now.” I warned him. He held his hands up in surrender and Cameron busted out laughing.

“Okay, we’ll make sure not to overwhelm you, baby.” Knox agreed.

“What’s next?” Cameron asked.

“You two need to talk. I don’t know what silent, magical, wofie-siren connection you guys have made and I don’t care. You need to have a conversation, outloud.” I said.

“About what?” Cameron asked.

“Really? About the fact that a few days ago you two were ready to kill each other and now you’re all buddy buddy.” I waved my hands around dramatically.

“Cameron, do you want to kill me anymore?” Knox asked.

“Nope, you?”

“Nah, I’m good.” They both looked at me then.

“I hate you both.” I grumbled, earning another round of laughter.

“Knox, you had all these terms for Cameron when he first came here. What about now?” I asked more specifically.

“I stand by them, Navy. You need to give consent before either one of us does anything, that’s just called being a gentleman. And, I don’t care who you’re with, you need to have protection; Dover is your shadow now and until the end of time. As far as leaving the packhouse, I just want to know where you’re at, that’s all. You two can go wherever you want. Cameron?” Knox looked over at Cam.

“I agree. I would also like to know where you’re at, Navy, even when you’re with Knox.” Cameron nodded.

“Okay, so, what, we’re just one big partnership now?” I asked plainly.

“Navy, answer me this: do you want to give up either one of us?” Knox asked me. My immediate answer was,

“No, never.”

“Then, yes, we’re one big partnership now. You and I have a head start. I’m prepared to sit back a little while Cameron and you make a go of it.” Knox replied.

“I don’t want to lose you, Knox.” I said, my voice full of fear. Knox grabbed my hand and squeezed it,

“Never, baby. I just mean that you and Cameron can have some alone time and hang out more. You could even use the cabin for a little getaway.” Knox assured me.

“Or we could all go?” Cameron spoke up,

“I think the point of this bond is for the three of us to connect.” He added.

“Sure, that works too.” Knox shrugged.

“Why are you two so okay with this and I’m the one freaking out?” I mumbled to myself.

“Because you’re the one overthinking everything.” Knox laughed at me.

“She’s always done that.” Cameron agreed.

“I hate this.” I grumbled again, but the boys knew I didn’t really mean it.

“What about all the little details?” I asked.

“Like what?” Cameron leaned forward, taking my other hand.

“Well, Knox and I are marked.” I said obviously.

“I can see that,” Cameron chuckled,

“You have a perfectly empty spot right here.” His finger traced a circle on the other side of my neck. I felt myself shiver,

“And you can mark me, too. There’s no rule that says you can only mark someone once and then your fangs go away.”

“There isn’t?” Honestly, I thought there was. Cam laughed at me,

“No, angel. When you’re ready, we can mark each other.”

“Will you two be connected, too?” I asked, looking between the boys.

“Probably, through you.” Knox shrugged.

“What about getting married?”

“You can have two weddings if you want, or just one big one where you marry us both. We’ll coordinate our proposals, right Cameron?” Knox said.

“Right.” Cam agreed.

“And babies?”

“I was thinking about that today, actually.” Knox started,

“You’ll need a werewolf heir first.” Cameron injected.

“Yeah, I think it would be best for me to be able to have an Alpha heir who is at least part werewolf.” Knox nodded. I suddenly felt out of the conversation.

“Then, the rest of the children can be a mystery.” Cameron agreed.

“A mystery?” I chirped, making myself known again.

“Yeah, we don’t need to know who the birth father is. We’ll parent all the kids together anyway.” Knox explained.

“You two have it all figured out.” I mumbled.

“It’s just an idea, angel, you get the final say, of course.” Cameron said, squeezing my hand.

“I don’t know, maybe you two should just mark each other and I’ll butt out.” I said in a petty voice.

“Navy.” Knox sighed at me.

“I just need a minute alone.” I sighed, standing up. The boys tried to stand with me but I glared at them, forcing them to sit back down.

“I’m not going anywhere, I’ll stay in the packhouse. I just need some time away from my two very overbearing, very eager mates. You two have it all figured out, but I was still getting used to having just one mate. Now I have two. I’ll replace you guys later.” I waved at them before hurrying out of the room, not giving them a chance to argue. I needed to replace the girls for a serious girl talk.
