Dante had to admit that if there was one thing he hated about his pack, it was that quasi tradition instilled by the pack’s founder that all those wolves who were to be queens had to have a high tolerance for alcohol lest they make a fool of their alpha at some special gathering. And its members had taken this to heart with each of the few queens that had been in the pack throughout its history.

One of the best had been his mother. Her father always said in annoyance that she could finish the larder and still be lucid, so she always kept it locked up, though after she had them she hadn’t consumed another drop, at least not in front of them.

But now, her beloved wolves were subjecting that omega and future queen to a challenge that she had no idea how it would end and that she knew it would be up to her to solve. Later she would reprimand the promoters who had initiated this without her consent.

The bustle grew louder as she walked through. It was amazing how much they enjoyed it, and even more amazing that a person as serious as Lukyan could be carried away by the impulse. He watched as the wolf let out a sigh as he finished the last drop from his mug and placed it on the table to grab the next. Dante stepped forward and stopped him by holding his wrist so he could put it down.

The screaming stopped and even Dmitri stopped drinking, all watching their alpha’s reaction.

-I think that’s enough.

-Not yet alpha,” one of the wolves shouted from behind and some joined them, but they fell silent when they saw his less than pleased expression.

For his part Lukyan, who kept his face hidden behind his hair, raised it towards him. His orbs were now a fiery golden colour outlined in deep black, announcing how close his wolf was to the surface. In contrast, her fractions remained as neutral as ever.

-That’s enough, you’ve met the challenge, you don’t have to force yourself. This is a tradition of our pack, not where you came from,” he tried to reason with the wolf, being that he was sensible and would leave him.

He couldn’t be further from the truth.

The omega’s slender fingers grasped his chin and pulled him to his lips sealing any protest, causing him to release his grip in surprise. Lukyan took the opportunity to stand on the other side of Dmitri and raised the mug, taking another drink and starting the cheers from the crowd once again.

Dante was shocked and could only come to a very simple conclusion after realizing that Lukyan wouldn’t k**s him out of the blue like that in all his senses. Even if he didn’t look it he was beyond drunk.

Sitting at the table without a bite to eat he waited for everyone to calm down after at least half an hour more. With each passing minute the euphoria grew greater until at last Dmitri collapsed to the floor unconscious without being able to consume another drop of alcohol. Lukyan raised his mug over his head announcing his victory and everyone cheered and shouted including his three middle children who had done nothing to stop their mother. Dante would not only have to talk to the eldest and youngest, the middle ones were also included.

-You see Dante,” Bastian appeared at his side and threw himself over his body and wrapped his arms around his neck, “Your fiancé is a savage. He drank almost thirteen mugs, two over Dmitri’s, I can’t even handle that.

Dante snorted.

-You’re the one who started this?

-What do you take me for,” he uttered with mock indignation, “your brother was the one who provoked your fiancé, fight him. Don’t throw the dead one on me, I behaved well today,” he smirked, “Falco told me that if I did it today he was going to make it up to me in a big way.

Dante raised an eyebrow. He was aware of the couple’s active s*x life which they didn’t keep secret and inwardly he envied them. Once he was married and had marked Lukyan he would see to it that his was as close as possible, if he allowed it of course.

Fallen walked to the table with a wobbling Lukyan and a faint smile on his flushed face. His younger siblings watched to make sure he didn’t go sideways as well.

-Alpha,” the three stopped at the sight of the wolf’s serious countenance.

-The three of us will talk when all this is calm.

The two younger ones lowered their heads and a growl came from the wolf’s throat. Lukyan stepped out of Fallen’s arms and walked over to Dante sitting on his lap and wrapped his arms around Dante’s neck.

-Don’t scold them, they are good puppies,” and kissed him again.

Dante had to use all his willpower to turn his head to the side and look at the group.

-I’d better take him,” he pointed a finger at them, “None of you will be left out, not even your husband, Bastian.

He stuck his tongue out at her as he slipped his arm under Lukyan’s thighs and lifted him up, walking out of the dining room towards his room.

The metabolism of wolves, especially males, was very fast, so they could dilute alcohol in less than an hour. In the case of females and younger wolves it tended to take a little longer, and the younger they got the longer it took. What disturbed him most was the ease with which s****l appetite was aroused to such an extent that many would get their partners drunk when they were upset in order to achieve reconciliation, something that often aggravated the situation. But in the case of the wolf in her arms she didn’t know how he would react.

He was an omega after all, and there was very little known about omegas. He hoped he could make it through the night without having to lock himself in the bathroom to avoid getting to what was crossing his mind.

As she walked she felt him move to attack her lips again. Apparently she liked to k**s and he reciprocated, just to reassure him. She let him taste it and opened them allowing him to tangle his tongue with hers. The urge to take control came over him, but if he did, he wouldn’t make it to the bedroom.

She turned her face, breaking the k**s, letting his head fall back onto her shoulder and advanced to the door, which she opened with her foot and closed to give them privacy. She left Lukyan on the bed to search the bathroom for a damp towel when his hand was grabbed and thrown with great force onto the bed.

One of Lukyan’s legs went over his thighs straddling him and he leaned down assaulting his lips again this time more possessively.

Dante was an alpha and above all dominant, but he felt satisfaction at being subdued like that for the first time, though he grunted and slowly sat up to further reinforce the k**s. The wolf’s hands were on his chest and clawed at the fabric that was torn in seconds.

Lukyan broke away to move over his chin, neck, collarbone, leaving marks in his wake and again emphasised the one he himself had made in the forest. Which sent an electric current straight to Dante’s c**k, making him so hard he gasped.

He felt it move down, kissing the place of his gland, his chest, the beginning of his abdomen and as he was about to continue Dante grabbed his wrists in a moment of lucidity and spun them around until he was on top of him.

-I don’t think that’s the right thing to do now, or you won’t be speaking to me tomorrow,” he gasped, but he needed to regain control of his actions.

But he still found it hard to hear himself when beneath him was a wolf with golden eyes that showed all the arousal in his body, lips parted and wet with saliva, and a shirt that showed the paradise of his nipples and the scent of his wet behind that was beginning to overflow. Dante’s whole body trembled and he couldn’t resist licking the middle of his chest, pushing away the fabric that bothered him with his face. He cursed inwardly, he could take it right there and then and not regret it. That wolf was turning him on in an overwhelming way.

He left little bites, copying it all the way down the length of the fur to his neck, stopping when he felt his breathing steady and raised his head to replace him with his eyes closed.

-Really?” he protested but realised it was for the best.

If he hadn’t fallen asleep they would have gone all the way. That was the self-control he now possessed over his own body.
