Dante bowed to his parents while her new husband only bowed his head in respect. Aralia approached her son and after giving him a final up and down inspection, nodded and kissed him on the bridge of his nose.

-Visit us more often or I swear I’ll come to see you, your brother comes at least every three months,” she said.

-Or every time he escapes,” Dante finished and kissed his mother back. He knew she missed them, it was just that in recent times and since they decided to live a freer life, it was more complicated for them to meet.

-Leave that to me,” Lukyan blinked slowly, “I’ll set up a routine to visit them and take my children with me, they were talking to me all night about you and they’ll be grateful to be able to visit you regularly.

-You see Dante,” Aralia ignored him and turned to the omega, “This is the husband I was hoping you would have.

The alpha touched his temple.

-Lukyan, you’re supposed to be on my side.

-Why? I support my own side, and in this case your parents’ side.

The wolf couldn’t tell if he was being serious or just joking.

-Son, you know it’s useless to argue with your mother, she’s always right, how do you think we’ve been together for so many years?

-Kaiser, watch your words,” the she-wolf said over her shoulder and then turned her attention to Lukyan, ignoring them.

-That’s something I still don’t understand between you, my mother is too severe and you are…” she looked his father up and down and in character Dmitri was more like him “I still don’t understand it.

-You will, son, I can assure you of that,” he patted Dante on the back, “Aralia, let’s go. Dante, say goodbye to your brother and Falco.

The alpha nodded and said goodbye to his parents who started to walk away side by side. They were very different, like night and day, but together, they looked damn good.

Kaiser walked in good spirits and took his wife by the hand.

-What did you think of them? Here between us.

She looked at him, shaking her hair.

-Adequate, interesting, I have no complaints.

-My beautiful wolf, as straightforward as ever,” he stood before her and carried her, making her wrap her legs around his waist, “You’re really happy, I can see it in your eyes.

Aralia came closer and kissed his lips.

-It’s not every day your eldest son gets married and I have five grandchildren as a gift, although I’m too young to be a grandmother.

-But you’re older than me,” she said.

Kaiser smiled and kissed her again as he walked on, being struck on the buttock with a heel. In his time as alpha the situation had been turbulent, the arrival of his children almost chaotic, but he had no regrets.

Dante turned after he lost sight of his parents and waited for Lukyan to step to his side, walking back to the mansion.

-I see you’ve made good chemistry with my mother,” he said.

-Does it bother you,” he fluttered his eyelashes, “She’s an interesting female.

The alpha raised an eyebrow, he had to keep the two of them from bonding too long. His mother knew a lot about everything, and Lukyan was a fast learner.

He kept walking and concentrated so hard on what he was thinking that he didn’t notice that he had left Lukyan behind, who only gave him room until he almost reached the entrance to his now home. Falco came out to greet them and showed him some papers that didn’t seem all that important from the look on both their faces.

Lukyan looked first at Falco and then at Dante’s broad, muscular back and remembered something he had seen a few days ago and was itching to try it. At that moment he had just emerged from an attempt to converse with his daughter when Falco walked past him with Bastian on his back. It didn’t look the most decent position, but he seemed to be enjoying it and the younger one comfortable.

He’d never had so much friction with any male as to do anything like that but the idea of trying it out appealed to him. As soon as the level of conversation between alpha and beta dropped, he ran to Dante and jumped on his back even though his legs felt like they were in the air. Only when Dante put his hands under his thighs and pushed him up was he in the right position.

Falco looked at him with a raised eyebrow and had to admit that he found the surprised expression on the omega’s stoic face even funny.

-Alpha, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll finish tending to these matters on my own, you can take some time alone,” the beta, ever the intuitive one.

Dante nodded and turned to the wolf behind him.

-Do you like it?

-The view is perfect – being so small and her husband so large, the angle of vision was significantly altered – can you walk with me behind? I saw him with Bastian and Falco and he looks like fun.

The alpha smiled. He was finally acting his age and it told him that his soul wasn’t completely broken. Besides, after marking him they had grown significantly closer, for by feeling each other’s sensations, albeit of different intensity, they could understand each other even better. And he couldn’t deny that they were quite compatible.

What he liked most about Lukyan was both his availability and efficiency, he had helped him to resolve in the last two days, some issues where he had given a positive opinion. His knowledge was not lacking and his reasoning was quite agile. He was quick and accurate. He could not deny that he had found the ideal queen.

As for intimacy, he had given his body a rest. While his toxins were already almost completely fused inside her body, she dared not touch him beyond simple kissing and rubbing. She wanted him to be at his best the next time she took him, for she knew she couldn’t hold back like their first time together.

Dante walked into the mansion with him upstairs and barely noticed him. Lukyan weighed absolutely nothing. His arms were around his neck caressing the curve of his collarbone with his fingernail as an involuntary, but dangerous act.

He made his way to the dining room where the bustle could be heard from his position. Lunch was being served and as they entered they found that almost the entire pack was arriving as well as themselves. Although a certain quartet was already seated at the head table. He walked over and the young men’s eyes widened at the sight of their mother standing over Dante as if he were a young wolf cub and instead of criticizing the younger two’s eyes lit up.

-Brother, I want to do that,” Sacha walked over to his brother and shook his arm.

-Not now, you have to eat lunch first.

-But Fallen, it looks fun,” Axel protested from his seat, “Alpha, we want to ride like this too.

-Listen to your brother, after lunch,” he smiled at them, sitting down after putting his wife down, “Matias can carry you as well.

The two boys’ smiles faded as they looked at their older brother.

-You don’t think so, Matías, he doesn’t have to do anything afterwards,” the alpha pressed.

The younger one nodded his head slightly.

-It’s all right, Matías, you don’t have to do it,” Axel told him, shaking his hands.

-I can do it,” he pursed his lips, nervously, astonishing them.

-Then it’ll be the four of us,” Fallen concluded with a sigh, knowing the alpha’s intentions and that he wouldn’t argue with him. He would not include his sister, knowing her punishment.

Lukyan admired her children and whispered thanks to her husband.

The meal was served and it was the only time they were all moderately silent. That evening a shipment of a smooth wine had arrived courtesy of a herd, which they passed around and Dante took a large glass. He wouldn’t let Lukyan taste a drop, pleading for his health, lying in the process.

Matias looked at his glass a little hesitantly and took a sip, pushing it away after the overly sweet and spicy taste he didn’t like.

-Ah Matías,” exclaimed his younger brother, “That was the alpha’s glass.

Indeed, Dante had left his glass out of place and the wolf had taken it without noticing. Matías looked at the alpha with caution.

-No problem, you can keep it if you want,” he smiled at him as he chewed on a piece of meat.

He didn’t keep drinking, but he liked the idea of not being scolded every time he did something wrong. Eating with the family didn’t feel so bad.

Lunch was over when there was barely any food on the plates.

-Lukyan, I’ll go back with Falco to finish the papers, you can go rest if you want, I won’t be long,” but as soon as Dante stood up his body began to sway.

Lukyan could only watch as the alpha of his pack, who was perfectly fine before, fell to the ground unconscious with a trickle of b***d coming out of his mouth. And shortly after him Matthias slid from his chair in the same situation.

A silence pervaded the dining room and heavy seconds passed before everyone reacted.
