Chapter 129 An Unbridgeable Feud
With an aura of dominance and power, Vandergriff’s Three-Star War King exuded a majestic presence that no mere mortal could challenge.
The arrogance in Liam’s gaze was enough to make Sam quiver in fear. He knew better than to provoke the Three-Star War King.
“Today, I am taking Lucian with me. Will you try to stop me?” Liam’s voice was calm and steady, yet it carried an undeniable air of authority.
“N-no, I wouldn’t dare,” Sam stuttered, his breath becoming shallow as he felt the weight of Liam’s oppressive aura bearing down on him like a mountain.
With a contemptuous snort, Liam flicked his hand and led his soldiers away, leaving Sam to ponder the unshakable power of the Three-Star War King.
As Azure Dragon War King and his entourage departed from the casino, the tense atmosphere gradually dissipated. However, many still remained in a state of shock and awe, especially William, who had been completely overwhelmed by the aura of the Three-Star War King.
If the Three-Star War King was so fearsome, one could only imagine the immense presence Vandergriff’s only Five-Star War Go d, the Infernal War Go d.

“Sam, Lucian is the one who caused Mr. Guevara’s death. Are you just going to let him that?” William couldn’t help but feel resentful upon seeing Lucian still alive.

With a cold snort, Sam glared at William and replied, “Azure Dragon War King was determined to take Lucian with him. If I had continued to resist, I would have been shot. Besides, Mr. Guevara’s death is closely related to Lucian’s departure. His uncle is the renowned Staleridge War Go d, and Lucian’s fate is sealed.”
Upon hearing this, William’s face twisted into a sinister smile.
Indeed…
Sylvain’s uncle was a formidable Four-Star War Go d, but he was still a prominent figure in Vandergriff.
With an air of disbelief, William couldn’t imagine that the Infernal War Go d would choose to lead the Nordfren War Zone and the Staleridge War Zone into a war over a mere mess sergeant. If the Staleridge War Go d was determined to kill Lucian, no one in this world could stop him.
After about five to six minutes, the head of the Guevara family, Leo, arrived at the casino with his wife and a group of trusted confidants. Upon seeing the chaotic scene, he was immediately outraged. For so many years, no one had dared to cause trouble at the Guevara family’s casino.

“Where’s my son? Where is he?” Jane didn’t care about what was happening at the casino; all she could think about was her son.
In an instant, everyone lowered their heads and dared not answer her question.
“Sam, where is my son? Speak up!” Jane realized that something was terribly wrong and grabbed Sam by the collar, asking him with a fierce and menacing tone.
“Mr. Guevara… he’s… he’s dead,” Sam hesitated for a long while before finally mustering up courage to speak the truth.

Boom…
The crowd was stunned into silence, especially Leo and Jane. When they heard of their son’s passing, their minds went blank, completely losing their ability to think. Jane, in particular, sat on the ground, as if struck by a bolt of lightning.
The entire room fell silent as everyone’s gaze was fixed on the couple, not daring to make a sound.
At that moment, several bodyguards brought the body of Sylvain to the couple’s feet.
“My son, my son.” Jane rushed forward upon seeing Sylvain’s corpse, her emotions boiling over as she wept and wailed over her son’s body. Even King Dawkin, Leo, had tears streaming down his face.
The most painful thing in the world is undoubtedly burying one’s own child.
Leo’s fists clenched tightly, his voice cold and ruthless as if it came from the depths of hell, “What the hell happened?”
“It’s… It’s Lucian,” William immediately answered, “He insisted on playing a game of life and death with Mr. Guevara. We all advised against it, but Lucian deliberately fanned the flames, causing Mr. Guevara’s tragic death. Uncle Guevara, we must avenge Mr. Guevara.”
Sam gave William a meaningful glance and quickly added, “Yes, it was Lucian who killed Mr. Guevara.”
Many people at the scene knew what had happened. It was William and the others who deliberately stirred up trouble and caused Sylvain’s death, but they dared not speak the truth and pushed all the blame onto Lucian.
“So many of you couldn’t even keep an eye on Lucian?”
“Are you telling me that my son died for nothing?”
“Bring him back to me, bring him back to me right now! I’ll tear him apart and avenge my son.”

Jane’s face was covered in tears, her voice h oar se as she screamed at the group of people.
“We wanted to keep him,” Sam said honestly, “but then Azure Dragon War King showed his men and took him away. And he said…”
Sam then explained everything that had just happened to Leo and Jane.

“So, Lucian is a mess sergeant from the Nordfren War Zone,” Leo said through clenched fists. “But my son’s uncle is the War Go d of Staleridge War Zone. I have to see if Nordfren War Zone is willing to risk angering a similarly powerful opponent for the sake of one measly mess sergeant. I must kill Lucian and avenge my son!”
Meanwhile, at The Village Restaurant in the suburbs…
Gabriel and the others had been waiting anxiously for Simon and his group to return. Finally, they arrived, and to everyone’s relief, Dennis was unharmed. They all expressed their gratitude to Lucian, but he remained cold and distant, barely speaking to anyone.
Dennis, being the blabbermouth he is, immediately told the Bowman family about Azure Dragon War King coming to rescue Lucian. The group was impressed by Lucian’s ability to call on such a powerful ally, and they surrounded him, showering him with compliments and praise. Gabriel was practically groveling at Lucian’s feet, revealing his true character.

Lucian simply nodded in response, remaining aloof and distant from the group. He turned to Simon and said, “Uncle Simon, I’ll come by tomorrow to pick up my father’s IOU. Prepare it tonight.”
“Sure thing,” Simon replied.
Without further ado, Lucian bid farewell and headed back to Maple Garden. There, he found Freya and the others gathered in the living room, chatting away. Lucian briefly asked Freya about her workday, and she assured him that everything was normal.
“Lucian, where have you been all day? We haven’t seen you,” Freya inquired.
“I was hanging out with some friends,” replied Lucian.
He didn’t tell the three of them about what happened today, or else it would have caused disastrous consequences.
Lucian’s conflicts with Oscar and Larry had left all three of them unhappy. If they were to replace out about what happened today, it would be catastrophic.
“Mhm,” Freya poured Lucian a glass of water and spoke softly, “Are you still upset?”
Annie and Frank looked up at Lucian with a hint of awkwardness. It was clear that they didn’t really want to be angry with him, but their seniority and age made it difficult for them to lower

their heads and make amends first.
“Why would I be upset?” Lucian replied.
Lucian immediately took the opportunity to serve his elders a glass of water, saying, “Mom, Dad, have some water.”
As soon as Lucian made this gesture, Annie and Frank eagerly accepted the glasses of water from him. The tension between them had been broken.
The next morning, Sioux was rocked by several shocking news stories!
“Dawkin’s Guevara family scion and the Gray family’s abandoned kid play the deadly game, resulting in death.”
“King Dawkin is furious and vows revenge, promising to kill the Gray family’s abandoned kid, Lucian.”
“Breaking news!!! Staleridge War Go d’s nephew has died, and he has returned home in a rage, vowing to take Lucian’s head at any cost.”
