A Fallen Heir’s Redemption By ( Lucian and Freya ) -
Chapter 72
Chapter 72 Can You Not Be So Vain?
Jared was completely enraged. With a twisted expression, he grabbed Freya by the neck and slapped her. He yelled, “Bi tch, you’re lucky I’m even considering you in the first place. How dare you hit me.”
“Ah!” Freya screamed as she fell to the ground, blood dripping down the corner of her lips from the blow. She looked back at Jared in disgust.
“Hahahaha.” Jared looked down at her and laughed, “Freya, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. By now, Lucian should already be dead and you will never get to see him again. Don’t you think it’s a good idea to come into my embrace?”
Freya quickly realized his true intentions and asked, “Jared, you weren’t planning on helping me to begin with, were you?”
Jared made no attempts to deny it. He nodded, “That’s right. I’ve never planned on helping you in the first place. In the past, when Lucian took you away from me, I wasn’t bold enough to do anything to him because he was the son of the Gray family. But now? He’s nothing more than a piece of sh it by the side of the road.”
“Even if I die, I won’t let you have your way,” Freya resolved herself and snat ched a fruit knife laying nearby. Placing it on her neck, she pointed at Jared and said, “Jared, if you take another step forward, I’ll kill myself. You won’t be able to explain yourself out of this one.”
“Hehehe. Even if you die, I will still have you.” Jared laughed and continued to walk forward, saying, “Actually, I think it’s better if you’re dead. That way, you won’t be able to resist and I will get to have some fun while you’re still warm.”
Freya was completely dumbstruck by his words.
She glared at Jared with utter contempt. She never imagined that someone could be this disgusting.
Clap!
However, before Freya could react, Jared lúnged forward, grabbed her wrist and snat ched the knife out of her hand. He even slapped her on the face. He said, “You dumb bi tch, I will have you begging for mercy now that you’ve fallen into my grasp. You will be forever imprisoned in this villa as my sl ave. Now then, it’s time to reap the fruits of my labor.”
He then lunged at Freya.
However, just before he could reach her, a figure rushed in from the outside and landed a flying kick right on his chest. Like a broken kite, Jared was sent hurtling away from the impact.
He fell on the ground and started spitting out blood.

“Lucian…”
Both Jared and Freya were surprised to see that it was actually Lucian.
Freya quickly got up and jumped into Lucian’s embrace.
Lucian hugged her and said apologetically, “I’m sorry for making you worry.”
Freya shook her head, “What matters is you’re alright.”
Jared slowly got up, holding his chest as he glared at Lucian and said, “Lucian, you’re not dead? Very well then. I was hoping you’d get to watch as I make sweet love to your wife. I’m sure that’s very exciting.”
“What did you say?!” Lucian glared at Jared with murderous intent.
Jared wore a malicious expression as he pointed at Lucian and said, “Back then, I was afraid to do anything to you considering you were the son of the Gray family. However, now you’re nothing more than a little rat scurrying around the streets. How are you possibly able to go against me? I will have Freya today, and not even G od can stop me.”
“I’m going to kill you!” Lucian was enraged, completely and utterly so.
The next second, Lucian shot out like an arrow, coming right up to Jared’s face with lightning speed. He launched a furious punch, sending Jared flying three feet out and causing his body to bounce about like a ball.
“How dare you touch my wife?! I’ll kill you!”

Lucian was filled with incredible rage. He quickly rushed towards Jared, grabbing him by the neck and repeatedly slapping him in the face.
Soon, Jared’s face was swollen like a chipmunk. It was a disgusting sight.
Jared was unable to put up any resistance against Lucian, and could only lie crying on the ground.
“Lucian, that’s enough. He’s going to die,” Freya quickly sensed that the situation was dire and rushed forward to pull Lucian back.
Jared was the cherished son of the Lisbon family, the top second-tier family. If Lucian were to kill Jared, he would suffer terrible consequences.
“Let’s go,” Freya said as she dragged Lucian out of the villa.
On the way home.
Freya drove while Lucian sat in the passenger seat. Neither of them spoke. Suddenly, news of the

Gray Group’s public listing could be heard from the car radio. Freya was visibly surprised, turning to Lucian and asked, “Lucian, did you know that the Gray Group failed in getting themselves publicly listed?”
“Of course I do. I orchestrated the whole thing,” he replied. With a proud look on his face, he added, “As long as I’m around, the Gray Group will never get publicly listed.”
“How did you do it?” Freya asked. While she was surprised, she still believed Lucian’s words.
“I told you-I’m the Infernal War G od,” Lucian replied. He then lit up a cigarette, puffing out a smoke ring as he continued, “As the Infernal War G od, why should it be difficult for me to stop the Gray Group from getting publicly listed?”
He had said he was the Infernal War G od multiple times.
And Freya was starting to believe him.
With a serious expression, Freya asked, “Lucian, are you really the Infernal War G od?”
Before Lucian could respond, Freya’s phone started ringing. She picked up and said, “Tammy, what’s up?”
“Fay, is Lucian not with you?” Tammy’s voice was a little agitated. She was positive that the figure she saw boarding the helicopter was Lucian.
“No, we’re together at Qruusford,” Freya answered.
So they’re at Qruusford.
Tammy was slightly disappointed. This meant that the person who had gotten on the military chopper was not Lucian. She sighed and said dejectedly, “Okay then, I thought he wasn’t together with you.”
“What’s wrong? You sound a little disappointed,” Freya asked after some hesitation.
“Nothing’s wrong. I saw the Infernal War G od today on the Imperial Sioux Hotel’s rooftop. He was leaving on his helicopter, and I thought he was Lucian… Don’t worry about it. I guess I was just overthinking it.”
Tammy didn’t dwell on the subject for long before diving into another topic, “Let me tell you a crazy story. Today, the Infernal War G od was furious and pulled some strings to cause the Gray Group to fail in their public listing application and the Big Five to declare bankruptcy. It’s too cool!”
“How did that happen?” Freya asked in shock.
Tammy laughed and explained, “This all started from Lucian. During Henry’s sixty-sixth

birthday celebration, he placed a casket right in front of the entrance. The Infernal War G od saw this and was enraged, thinking that it was a sign of disrespect towards him by the Gray family. The incident today is just him enacting his wrath and teaching the Gray family a small lesson. What a coincidence.”
Freya couldn’t help glancing at Lucian’s smug look when she heard the story.
She was exasperated.
The Infernal War G od was obviously the one who caused the Gray Group to fail to get publicly listed.
However, Lucian was taking all the credit for himself.
Since when did he become so vain?
“I see. I’m still driving, Tammy. I’m hanging up,” Freya said, then hung up the phone. She focused on driving and didn’t continue talking to Lucian.
Meanwhile, Lucian had already figured out the perfect way to introduce his Infernal War G od identity to Freya. He said, “Darling, back when I got drafted into the army, I became special forces in a year. After which, I fought in tons of missions and accomplished many deeds. Eventually, after a critical military operation, I was bestowed the title of War G od.”
