Chapter 23- Amara

I opened my eyes and closed them again because of the ache thatcoursed through my head. I found myself face to face with the sameside table and the lamp in the room where Abigail patched my wound.A gush of hot air tickled my neck, widening my eyes in fear. Oh my godsomething is breathing on my neck. I looked down to replace a hand onmy waist. A person is wrapped around me tightly. I can't even move myhead to see who the person is. I screamed and that person fell off ofthe bed. I jumped out of the bed and picked the first thing that came inmy hand, a pillow. I mean really, a pillow. Well something is better thannothing. The person groaned and got up. He is the same guy whokissed me earlier. How dare he?

"Why did you scream?" he said rubbing his eyes. Then his eyes widenedand he grinned at me. Talk about weird. "Oh my god you are awake."He ran towards me and was about to hug me but I smacked him in thehead with the pillow, really hard

"Ow why did you do that for?" he said rubbing his head.

"What the hell were you doing in the same bed as me?" I asked keepingmy distance.

"You fainted and didn't wake up for the whole day. I got sleepy at nightbut didn't want to leave you alone. So I slept in the same bed as you.”He ratted like a child, grinning at that. I was out for the entire day? Howis that possible? Oh my God papa and Ryder are going to flip.

"What do you mean I didn't wake up for the whole day?" I said horrified"I will surely qualify for the world record in fainting. What time is it? Ohmy god school, its Monday. Where is Aaron? *, I started blabbering."Calm down baby." I smacked him again "Why do you keep hitting meall the time?"

"I am not your baby." I snapped.

"Off course you are. I mean you are my mate and I know you knowwhat mates are. So I can call you anything I want. You are mine." Hesaid frowning like it was so obvious.

I glared at him. How dare he? Just because I am his mate doesn't meanhe owns me. I started smacking him again.

"I am not your property so stop treating me like that." I said in betweenevery smack.

He took the pillow out of my hands and threw it to the other side of theroom. He opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.

"You didn't answer my questions.”

"Everybody's already in school including Aaron. You were unconsciousfor the whole day yesterday. We tried to wake you up but you didn'twake up. So we let you sleep and I was watching over you. It's after 9 inthe morning so you can't go to the school now.” He said blushingprofusely. Why is he blushing? He looks embarrassed.

"Does squeezing me when I was asleep like a boa constrictor qualifiesin the watching over category?” I asked narrowing my eyes.

He blushed even more if that's possible,” I might have did thatunconsciously.” Aww he is so cute. Whoa! Hold on there. Bad Amara.Do not call him cute.

"Okay. By the way what is your name?" I asked.

"Oh I am sorry. I didn't even introduce myself. I am Asher Wilson. Thethird in command of this pack.” He said puffing his chest a bit. Talkabout a nut case.

So his wolf is Hunter. My stomach growled loudly. Uhhh I haven't ate asingle bite since yesterday. I blushed. Way to embarrass me Mr.Stomach.

"I should get going." I said moving towards the door.

"No you are not going anywhere. Common let's go eat." Hmm so I amstill under their radar. They do not seem to let me out of their site yet."No I have to freshen up and all. I will just go home and come back atthe time school ends. I promise I will come back.” I need to talk to papaand Ryder too. They must be worried sick.

"I know you won't run away. You just woke up. Let's eat first and I willtake you there.” He gave me a no argument look and I am too hungryto retort back.

"Fine." I grumbled.

We went to the kitchen. He is cooking eggs and bacon for us. I tried tohelp but he waved me off. As he was cooking I looked at him carefully. Imust say he is quite cute with those bluish eyes and brown hair. He isalmost 6'2"-6'3" and has a lean body which is perfectly toned. Not toomuscular though. Just perfect. Abort. Abort. Omg am I checking himout? Geez what is wrong with me.

He brought the food to the dining table, which I am already sitting at.He served me and himself. We started eating.

"Is the interrogation thingy still on?" Let's get it clear while I can.

"Yup. I am sorry about it. But he has to ask you a few things.” He saidapologetically.

"No its fine." I replied.

"Thank you for what you did for Abi. Everyone is grateful to you forthat." He said smiling.

Play dumb Amara.

"What are you talking about? What did I do to her?" I asked with aninnocent face.

Not that dumb you moron

He laughed,” Your acting skills are really bad.”

I huffed,” Are you done? Take your stuff with you. You can freshen upthere."

"Yeah let's go. Let me get my stuff from home. Come along with me.We can go from there in my car.” He said cleaning the table.

"We are not taking a car.”

"What do you mean?" he asked confused.

"You will see. Get your stuff and come back here."

He went to his house and came back with a small duffel bag in tenminutes tops. Hmm he is fast and hot too. What the hell? I think mybrain is getting affected by all this fainting thing.

"So how are we getting to your place?" he asked.

"Shift. I will sit on your back and show you the way." I replied.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to be running away from me or fallingdown from my back." He said concerned.

"Don't worry about me. I will be fine.” I said rolling my eyes.

He gave me his bag and went behind a tree to shift. After few soundsof bones breaking, Hunter came out. I haven't seen him in a while. But Iknow he isn't Hunter. That is Asher who is standing in front of me. He iscoming towards me slowly, not to scare me I think. I ran towards himand hugged him. I missed him so much. Every one of them actually. Heput his head on my back like he was hugging me back. I got back a bitand he whimpered. A giggle escaped my lips at his behavior.

"We should get going.” I said.

He lowered himself so I can climb. Once on his back I told him thedirections and he dashed towards my cabin.
