A Gold Alpha For A Silver Alpha -
Chapter 3
The smell that hit my nostrils puzzled me for a moment, but before I could follow its trail it disappeared and I mentally wondered if it wasn't a figment of my imagination.
No, you didn't imagine it, I smelled it too.
Mack said excitedly.
Did you know where it came from?
From our mate.
He answered obviously and I mentally rolled my eyes.
I meant did you know which wolf gave off that scent?
With 100 rouges surrounding us I wouldn't know.
I gave a slight growl and focused on the three wolves in front of us.
The one that was white bared his teeth in a threatening manner and barked in warning.
We all tensed and prepared to pounce in attack, but the reddish wolf took a couple of steps and then transformed into a human.
She was a woman of about 20 or 22 years old according to my calculations, she was a little short, but she had as many curves as a road, brown eyes with green speckles that could be seen from where she was, her hair was a fire red tone, but her roots were black. Unlike Lissa's as hers was more of a reddish-orange color.
She cleared her throat before speaking.
-My name is Dannia and on behalf of my pack I tell you that we are not here looking for a fight. Her face and tone conveyed absolute calm.
Noel took a step forward to answer.
-If you weren't looking for a fight, you wouldn't have trespassed the limits of our territory without permission. My Beta said aggressively, but the girl didn't even blink at his tone of voice.
-We came in search of Alpha Jason. She spoke again, as if she wasn't surrounded by warriors that could kill her.
Before she could say a word, Noel stepped forward again.
-I am Jason.
We were all surprised at that lie, but we quickly composed ourselves and covered it up. I'd talk to him about it later.
She looked at him suspiciously, but before she could say anything else, the white wolf advanced to her side and transformed into his human form.
He was a male, taller than her, he had golden blond hair and dark brown eyes that looked black, his body was built with muscles and unlike his companion he did have a threatening expression on his face.
-You are not the Alpha, stop wasting our time and tell us who he is," he said. His voice showed warning and impatience.
I growled at Noel to get him to move away and approached them. The boy looked at me and seemed to analyze me with his eyes before nodding his approval, the black wolf started to move forward and the other two moved back to his side, still in their human form. Transform.
A clear command was heard in my head and immediately the change occurred against my will knocking the air out of my lungs. As soon as my eyes met those of the black wolf my knees buckled and I fell to my knees in submission.
I could hear the grunts of disapproval from my pack along with the rest of the Alphas behind me.
But I couldn't move, my body felt heavy, as if a cloak had clouded my senses leaving me like a puppet.
-Alpha Jason, you are sentenced to an inspection and a year's evaluation to prove you are worthy of your position. Otherwise you will be removed from this one and someone else will take it, if you resist your pack will be wiped out and wiped off the map leaving its survivors as rejects, rouges.
The boy's voice was heard loud and clear so that all present could hear him and have no doubt of what he had said.
-With what power and right do you subject me to such a condemnation?
My voice sounds angry but restrained, who the hell does he think he is, doesn't he know who I am?
The guy opens his mouth to answer, but it is another voice that answers for him.
-With the power of the goddess Selene and the right of blood that was given to me since my birth.
A mellifluous voice, but with an authoritative tone is present, and in the place where the black wolf was, there is now a girl, a woman.
Her hair is as black as night, her skin is pale and looks like porcelain, her lips are blood red, she is tall but shorter than the blonde, but the most impressive thing is her eyes, of an intense silver color that look at me accusingly and steal my breath. I didn't know there was such an eye color.
-Get up and return with your Beta to your pack, mine will stay here. He orders and as if my mind had been on autopilot and a superior force was controlling me, I stand up and walk towards Noel.
Let's go, I talk to him over the link.
He sees me arching an eyebrow, but nods and follows me. The other Alphas do the same, some more reluctant than others.
And I don't blame them when they only return to their human form once we're all back on the canvas.
-Jason, are you okay?. I nod my head.
My Beta looks dismayed and doubtful. But I was in no position to explain something I didn't understand myself.
I declare loudly that the party is over and that everyone has to return to their packs immediately.
And before anyone in my pack can speak to me, I go to my room and lock the door, hiding from the world.
As I replace myself in the privacy of my room, I drop to my knees in front of the bed and hold my head with both hands.
A strong pressure is squeezing my skull.
Mack, what's happening, why does it hurt so much?
I ask in desperation.
Your body is getting used to the fact that it's not in control.
What do you mean by that?
That you have been the strongest Alpha and it's been years since your body or mind has submitted to someone, so it's logical that after so long it takes some getting used to. Who were those rouges, and why did my body betray me like that?
I don't know Jason, I could only feel the aura of power that the girl emanated, don't underestimate her, she is more powerful than you think.
Mack, please tell me what's going on
I'm sorry Jason
My wolf closes connection without telling me anything else and leaving me alone for my mind. Slowly my eyes close from exhaustion and pain. I sleep restlessly.
I dream of a black she-wolf with beautiful silver eyes that distract me from her long sharp claws reaching for my throat.
