Ophélie's POV

As soon as I left the pack to join my father's Wolves, I made sure that we went directly to their house. You have to start somewhere and I suspected that they couldn't leave without taking a minimum of stuff. At her place, I found nothing. No one had been there for a few days already, but Dorian's was different.

There were compresses with blood, bandages. Jason was hurt, that's something. They spent a little time at Dorian's house, enough to prepare for their departure. Digging through the papers next to the computer, I found a road map with some directions but without replaceing an address. All we have is a direction that leads us straight into a mountainous area covered in forests.

The place is too big to replace them quickly. There are so many smells and game everywhere. Our Wolves are unable to follow their trail. They can't replace them. We've been going around in circles for three weeks already, three weeks with my anger growing more and

more.

We split into several groups to cover more ground, but we barely explored half of this place. Ma Louve sighs at the mass of area we still have to cover, but we will not give up. The more days pass, the more I feel this hatred growing inside me, becoming more and more powerful. No matter how long it takes, I will replace him and kill him myself.

We continue to move forward, when one of my Wolves contacts me,

"I found something Luna. >>

"I'll be there right away. >>

I don't even ask him what it is, I rush in without missing a beat. I need action, I need to move forward and know that we are in the right direction. It takes me a good half hour to reach him but when I arrive at the edge of a clearing, my heart speeds up. It's far, far away, but there is smoke rising from the top of a hill. We're too far away to be sure it's really them, bu feel it. It's them. I'm contacting the others to warn them, we won't attack outnumbered. I want to make sure they don't ay with it. We are all moving in the same direction. This time, they will have nowhere to run. Emma's POV

I love this life we have here, unlike anything I've known until now. Far from the stress, the noise, the constant hustle and bustle of the city which never really sleeps, far from all these artificial lights, the law of everything. I don't think I had ever considered having a different rhythm of life, but here, we follow nature,

Dorian continues to improve our interior while Jason and I take care of the rest. We have started to prepare vegetable garden, the soil is good and I am sure it will be productive. What amazes me is that Jason knows so much about this. Guess he's done that before. I suppose that in a pack, you have to do everything yourself, there shouldn't be many superma

It's strange, I love him more than anything, I gave up everything to follow him and yet, I know almost nothing about him. While we are both in the garden, our hands in the earth, I take the opportunity to discover a little more about him.

- How was it in your pack? How did you live there?

- I had a lot of responsibilities, I didn't really have time to have a life of my own to tell the truth.

- Did you live in a house?

- Yes. I had a house. Quite big I must say, but as empty as your apartment. When I left you behind, I left a part of me with you and when I came home, I knew I could never be happy without you. So, I immersed myself in work. - You have a family?

- A sister, she left a while ago, she found her companion in another pack. She followed him, I suppose today she has children.

- With Dorian, you never talk about life in a pack. You know everything about me and yet I feel like I know nothing about you, any more than I do about your Wolves.

- Ask me love, I will answer you.

- It's true?

- Of course. I'll tell you everything you want to know.

--Do you miss your life with other Wolves?

-No of course not. For what?

- I know what you and Dorian are and I wonder if you are not depriving your Wolves of their freedom a little because of me. I seem to feel that they are restricted.

I see him stop these movements before raising his head towards me with narrowed eyes.

- Can you feel our Wolf love?

- I'm not sure, it's a bit strange, it seems a bit like a thought. A feeling that I can't shake. I can't help but tell myself that it's because of me when that's not what I want. He smiled tenderly before coming closer to me to kiss me.

- My Wolf is very happy to hear you speak like that, love. He likes knowing that you care about him.

- Of course I care about him. I enjoyed seeing him last time, spending time with him like I did with Dorian's Wolf. I don't understand why you're afraid to let them out in front of me.

- It's not that we're afraid, love. You didn't grow up in our world, you found yourself thrown into it without knowing anything about it. You have just discovered that Wolves exist and that they can kill to protect you. With Dorian, we just said to ourselves that maybe you needed a little time to assimilate all of this. We were a bit stupid on this one, we should have known that you could smell them, after all, you are ours.

- Do your Wolves have a special bond? Do they love each other like you and Dorian?

- I think we can say that yes. In any case, they are very close. My Wolf likes to see Dorian's. When I was injured, he licked my wound for a long time, it's a mark of affection for the Wolves. My Wolf was really happy that he did it.

- And me? Do they love me too?

I see his eyes change color in a split second, which surprises me a little because it usually only happens when we're in bed.

- Of course they love you love. They love you more than anything, he said, kissing me.

I feel these fangs rapping my tongue, making me shiver.

These hands slip under my shirt and I don't even try to fight. Either way, my body is already giving in. I wrap my legs around his waist and let him caress me, moaning when he manages to touch the tips of my breasts. I still have lots of questions, so many questions, but I feel myself melting as he manages to warm my body.

Suddenly, he leaves my lips and stops all movements. At the same time, I hear Dorian rushing out of his workshop. They felt something, something only they can perceive.

Dorian's POV

I know this smell. Ophelia. What is she doing here. Jason has secured the perimeter and has been adding traps for weeks. They are not ready to pass, because that is where the real problem comes from. There are far too many of them. I rush to Jason who quickly picks up Emma.

- They surrounded us.

- There are too many, replies Jason.

- What are you talking about, stop acting like I'm not there, Emma said, raising her voice which surprised us both.

- Sorry darling. Our old packs have found us and surprisingly when you know their stories, they seem to have joined forces to replace us. There are many, my dear, too many for both of us.

- No, I refuse to let it happen like that. Not after everything we've already been through. That's out of the question, Emma says with a determination in her eyes that makes my heart beat a little faster.

- If you take Emma on your motorbike you can make your way, said Jason, putting his hand on my shoulder. You have to make her safe. You know.

- No, Emma screams, walking away from us. No, it's dead, I'm here for you, for both of you, I'm not leaving without one of you.

- You don't understand love. They'll come after you first. They know that if they touch you, they touch us too, he said, walking towards her. The traps around our territory will slow them down, but they will pass. They will eventually pass.

- It's you who doesn't understand. Do you think I can leave knowing that? Do you think I can leave you here when you tell me there's nothing you can do?

- You are more important than us love, Dorian will take care of you. He loves you as much as I do.

She approaches quickly before slapping him. The anger in his eyes breaks my heart. She doesn't want to lose him and neither do I, but if we stay here, we'll all die. She heads towards the house, leaving us stranded.

- You have to take him. A car will not pass, a motorcycle will.

- I can't leave without you, I said before I even realized it.

- You know very well that if we all stay, we will all die, if I distract them, you will be able to pass. Save there.

- I can't, I can't leave you behind. I wouldn't survive it. I know that and neither does Emma. I'm sorry but this time it's not about you or her. If I have to lose one of you I might as well not survive.

Emma comes out of the house with a gun and a large kitchen knife in her other hand. She's a tiny little woman and yet she has more courage than anyone else. I'm proud of her, so proud. She comes to stand next to us, and I say to myself that really, - How many traps did you set?

- If you only knew, he said with a big smile.

And at the same time, a scream is heard. His smile widens a little more as Emma turns to him.

-Are these traps or torture devices?

- Let's just say that once you fall in, your hours are numbered, in the worst case.

But Ophélie's scream is heard. She motivates these troops, she pushes them to surpass themselves, not to be afraid of what they face. I clearly recognize his father's character there. But a second cry of pain is heard.

- If they want to pass, they will have to be very careful. I've been at this for a while, I can guarantee you that I've put them almost everywhere.
