“No! Don’t put that in the microwave!” I screamed in panic as I saw Aranthias was trying to fit a cast iron skillet in the microwave. I had a half naked angelic god in my kitchen with no knowledge of cooking. He turned to me and slowly took moved the skillet away from the microwave and put it on the kitchen bench. He gestured an “I’m sorry” before telling me that he’d be in the next room.

“Aranthias hadn’t learnt at all, I assume” Eos commented, but even on the phone, I could hear that he was trying hard to hide his laughter. I sighed, after Naal gave my life back, I had been married to my Prince of Light and living in my house. The only problem was, Aranthias still had to make some adjustments in terms of dealing with modern technology.

“Maybe you should come over sometimes and teach him some stuff. He almost set my kitchen on fire the other day. He’s great with the other stuff, including driving the car, but he’s hopeless in the kitchen!” I held the phone between my ear and shoulder, while both hands starting to fry the fish Aranthias was trying to cook.

“Teal needs help in the kitchen as much as Aranthias does, maybe we should send them to a cooking class or something like that” Eos chuckled. He would know, as since Gin was sent to his mother, Eos had been taking over the Tarkas until Gin could come back.

“I put my money on one of them blowing something up within five minutes”

“Two minutes” he replied. I laughed at the image forming in my mind. Though my heart clutched at the thought of Gin as I talked to Eos. A year ago I almost lost him to a curse Ulyn had put on him, Antheon had shown him mercy and sent him back to his mother, who until present day I still didn’t know what or who she was. The man’s past wasn’t pretty, I saw the dark side of him, how he became like that was a different story.

The war had ended when I rose from my short death. Anzu had filled in the blanks for me. When Aranthias, Anglo and I went to the gods’ realm, Absolon broke loose sending infantries of dark army roaming our dimension. With our army halfway in the underground passage, we were short handed. The ancient warriors fought with all their might to push back the dark army back into Absolon. When Antheon died, the curse came out like a plague. However, Aranthias came to his full power when Antheon ‘died’ from my choosing, enabling him to close the portal, only that he came a little too late to close it. The damage had been done, a large portion of the dark army walked the earth, and the curse had begun its search for Anglo’s chosen ones. It was our job to do damage control, to wipe the remaining minions of Anglo’s army and to seek the chosen ones and cleanse them before they embrace their gifts, or kill them if it was too late.

Aidan on the other hand had recovered from his burning coma and traveled the world once again, lending his hands to any Supers who would need him. He disappeared one night from his bed and was never seen again after that. However, he sent a wedding card which came right on my wedding day. I didn’t expect him to be present at my wedding day, as it was indeed a small wedding, many of the immortals had their own business to take care of, and a world to protect, and I wouldn’t want them to jeopardize safety for my wedding. I was glad to know he was still around, and maybe he’d give me a visit again soon, like he always did.

“Anyway, I better get going. I’m on patrol tonight” Eos distracted my train of thought.

“Ok, be careful, say hi to Teal” I hung up and attempted to put my full attention to the cooking.

“Hey love, you might want to have a look at this!” I jerked as I heard Aranthias’ calling. Perhaps dinner would have to wait. I quickly put things aside and walked into the lounge where I found Aranthias was staring at the TV.

“What is it?” I asked as I walked in, but my gaze fixed onto the TV’s news report about a riot, which was more likely to be a demon attack. He turned and gave me a grin I was too familiar with.

“Eos is patrolling tonight, so I guess he wouldn’t mind reinforcement” I said as I took my apron off and went to get Crimson Tears, but Aranthias cut my path and scooped me into his arms.

“You’re the best, love you” he showered me with little kisses.

I rounded my arms on his neck and replied the kisses

“You keep showering me with those kisses, Mister, and we won't get there” I commented, he grinned again and put me down on the floor.

“Then we should hurry up, the night’s still young” he kissed my lips and took Crimson Tears to his hand. I shuddered before changing form and walked out of the house with him, into the warm summer night, we had some demons to kill.
