Jace left the Japanese restaurant and headed straight back to Skye Hotel.

Zayne, looking at Sage’s car disappear into the distance, asked Jace, “Boss, do we follow her?”“There's no need.” Jace felt that if he were to continue with his actions, he would truly become astalker. “Just ask your men to keep a close distance.”

Jace felt somewhat frustrated. He rolled down his window and lit a cigarette. The flame burneddimly in the night. Jace allowed his thoughts to carry him away. He could not stop thinking of thephoto of Sage and Luther, their faces so close together.

Sage had never liked her photo taken. He did not even have a personal photo of her. The onlyphoto that they had taken together was their wedding photo.

However, it appeared that whenever Luther was around, Sage was always close by. Even if they hadgrown up together, they were too close.

Jace's heart turned sour and jealous, almost as if he had planted a lemon tree there.

His phone rang loudly. It was a foreign number, and it came from Nadeem. He took it, and his voicewas low, “Hello, who is this?”

Sienna was on the other end of the line. “Jacey!” She sounded close to tears. She had finally got Jaceto take her call.

He had been refusing her calls for days, and he had finally even blocked her number. She had to usea new number in order to reach him

Despite hearing her voice, Jace remained unfazed. “Oh, it's you. What do you want?” Sienna's hearttightened when she heard Jace’s cold answer. It was as if she were no more than a stranger to him."Jacey, are you still mad at me?” Sienna phrased her question carefully, but before he could answer,she quickly sped on, “I'm really, really sorry! It's all my fault! I was dumb and naive, and that's how Igot conned by men. I've changed, really. All I want is to b e together with you forever!”

“I've said all I wanted to say to you. Please, don't call me again,” said Jace. He was unmoved by herspeech. He did not care if she was really naive or if it was all a pretense. He wanted nothing more todo with her.

She had had her fun, and now she wanted to settle down with an honest man, except, Jace waseverything but an honest man.

Once Jace had found out how Sienna had manipulated him with her fake terminal illness, all hisfeelings for her had evaporated. H e had always been a heartless man.

Seeing that Jace was about to hang up, Sienna quickly added, “Jace, Jace, I know I've wronged you.But what about Sage? She liedt o you too! She wasn't some country girl; she is an heiress to NorahGroup!”

Sienna had just discovered Sage's identity not too long ago. Initially, when Jace had first cut all tieswith her, she had thought that he would cool down after a few days and come back to her. He hadbeen in love with her for many days, how could he just leave her?

She had tried calling him many times, but when she failed each time, she had set out looking forhim at Yuriel Group. Jace's assistants kept their mouths shut as to his whereabouts the whole time.Out of luck, she went to Yuriel Mansion, and finally, the butler told her that Jace was in Salem City.“Master Yuriel took the stamp given by the ex-Missus with him before he left. I guess he’s there forher.” The butler had tipped Sienna off.
