Jace was sent into the operating theatre for further examinations. Sage’s heart skipped a beat as hishands let go of her.

She stood in front of the theatre momentarily as Yoel rushed to the hospital. Breathlessly, he asked,“How is he?”

“He's in there now,” Sage pointed at the theatre entrance.

Yoel frowned deep and asked, “What happened? Why did he got beaten up out of nowhere? Didyou manage to replace out who did this?”

Sage couldn't be bothered to answer his multiple questions. Zayne answered and said the policecame and collected evidence from the crime scene. They are investigating it and they asked if Jacehad made any enemies lately.

"We just came to Nadeem City not long ago. We are not even familiar with this place yet, not tomention making enemies.” Zayne said as he looked at Sage, and he mumbled, “Well, there is Mrs.Sage..."

Sage gave Zayne a sideways glance and asked him, “You think I did it?"

Zayne waved his hands repeatedly and said, “No, I don't mean that.”

Yoel knocked his head as he denied it. “Nonsense! Sage would never do that. She could've just beathim up openly, why would she choose to do it from his back?”

Zayne nodded his head and agreed furiously, “Yes, yes.”

He still couldn't fathom who was the one who did it. Jace comes from a prestigious family, wouldn'tthey be afraid of what the Yuriel Group would do to them?

Fortunately, Sage wasn't going to reprimand him. Zayne thought that Sage was leaving as she stoodup, and he called, “Mrs. Sage...” “Miss Norah. Are you leaving already... I mean, Mr. Yuriel is hurtbadly. I know he wishes for you to stay by his side. He would be disappointed if you weren't thereonce he woke up. So please can you...” Zayne was trying to keep her from leaving.

“I'm not leaving. Don't worry,” Sage said.

She continued, “Mr. Yuriel was assaulted in my area. It's my full responsibility to look after him andreplace out the culprit behind this. Stay here, I need to make a phone call.”.

Zayne felt relieved as Sage said she was staying.

Yoel questioned Zayne as Sage left, “What the hell happened? Tell me everything from thebeginning. Do not miss out on a single detail.”

Sage on the other hand went away to make a phone call. Her face looked solemn. She askedstraight, “Jace got beaten up. Did you have anything to do with it?"

Luther stuttered on the other side of the phone. As Sage was about to scream at him, Kane tookover the phone.

“It was me. That jackass treated you poorly. I was only teaching him a lesson, he hasn't even triedthe real deal yet. Do you feel better now?”

She knew it, her brothers did it!

Sage was fumed with anger. Her hands trembled as she ended the call. She pulled up the Whatsuppground and turned on the voice message function and she said, “This is my last warning. Listen up,whatever happened between Jace and me, it's all over. No one is allowed to touch him anymore!"
