A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 160
Chapter 160
It seemed as though Sage was prepared to turn against Braxton and Zane. She was fearless. Thiswas not good for them.
Zane had a guilty conscience. He was a man with no substance, he only knew how to spend money, and never learned how to make it. He was never interested in running a business, and all his life hewas obsessed with antiquing and nothing else.
During the trip to Yusemite, he unintentionally got involved in gambling all his money away. Hehadn't recovered from it financially,
Zane was still hoping to sell some Norah group shares to cover his loss. He needed the share priceto inflate just a bit more. If Sage kicks him out now, he would have lost everything.
It's not worth it.
He thought of that and shriveled back to his seat. Braxton on the other hand felt extremely uneasy.Braxton opened his mouth after two long breaths and said, “What makes you think the turf club isprofitable? We spent a great deal of fortune to get the land. If deemed unprofitable, who's going tobe responsible?”
“Don’t worry, my dear uncles. I've started making my own money since young. Profitable or not, Ithink I know better than the two o f you.” Sage said in a confident and strong tone. “I have alsopartnered up with Yuriel Group and Fulton Group for this project. We can at least be profitable forfive years. Just keep doing what we're doing.”
Everyone felt more confident about the turf club project upon hearing about the two powerfulcorporations joining hands with Norah Group. They all nodded in agreement and said, “Don't worry,Miss Norah! We will work hard towards completion.”
Braxton widened his eyes, “What do you mean by Yuriel Group? Do you mean Yuriel from NadeemCity?”
Sage asked him back, “Do you know any other Yuriel Group?”
Of course, it is!
Braxton almost fell off his chair. He took a huge gulp of water and his finger pointed at Sage, exclaiming, “Are you cr- crazy? Getting the Yuriels involved in this?”
Zane was astounded as he looked at Sage confused, “Yeah. The Yuriels are our long-timecompetitors in the business. They must have bad intentions working with us this time. What if thiswas a trap?”
"You two don't have to worry about this. No one can hurt us as long as we stand united,” said Sagewith a smirk, and she looked at everyone and added, “Yes. I know that there were many times wewere competitors, but I can assure you that it was all business. There are no enemies or friends inthe business world. I believe in win-win relationships rather than competing.”
Everyone nodded again in agreement. The conference room fell into a pin drop silence.
"Any more questions?” She asked as everyone shook their heads, leaving Braxton and Zane still indismay. “Fine then. Meeting resolved,” announced Sage and left abruptly.
