Chapter 176

Not wanting to worry her brothers, Sage forced to sit up and showed a wide grin and spoke, “Timewill heal everything. At least right now, I feel nervous instead of terrified.”

Raising her wine glass, Sage added, “You've finally returned after such a long time, let's not ruin itwith my sob story. Come on, it's time to drink!”

The party reached its climax and all of them had much to drink.

Luther and Sage were singing their hearts out on the karaoke machine, not bothered that theirpitches were off several notches. Kane was embarrassed to be in the same room as them, while Sethon the other hand, was simply smiling at the youngest. Seth had always thought that being togetherwith the rest of the siblings was the best antidote to his stress.

Right then, the door was pushed open and a tall silhouette walked into the room. With a quick scan,the person charged straight to where Sage stood.

Kane and Seth were both alarmed by this scene.

Seth asked, “He's Jace Yuriel?"

Even though they had never met in person, Seth had seen pictures of him before and was able torecognize Jace instantly.’

.. Kane simply nodded as his cold gaze was fixated on Jace. The plastic fork in his hand was brokeninto half, but what Kane really

wanted to do was to break Jace's amm:

Jace had been looking for Sage the entire time and when he had finally found her, he realized thatshe was with three other men i n the room, happily singing and drinking. Irritation pricked at him ashis face slowly darkened.

Walking up to Sage, he grabbed her by her arm and pulled her into his arms, Jace hissed, “Comewith me!”

“What are you doing, let me go!”

Sage was tipsy and because she was suddenly pulled away while singing happily, she startedstruggling. At the sight of Sage resisting Jace, the other guys all got up onto their feet at once andwalked toward Jace. They menacingly stood right in front of Jace, with Sage behind their backs. Sethand Luther held Sage while Kane pushed Jace and seethed, “Dude, who do you think you layingyour hands on her without saying anything? Didn't you see the rest of us here? Do you want to bebeaten up again? Should I send you to the hospital again?” Jace's face darkened as he clenched hisjaws. His clouded gaze was fixed on Kane before shifting his gaze to Luther and Seth. His lips werenow tightly pressed together.

Jace had crossed paths with both Kane and Luther, but there was another man here — Seth Hector,the best actor in town.

What was his relationship with Sage?

Jace was confused by Sages circle of friends. They were all sorts of people and most importantly, allof them were men.

With a straight face and a clouded gaze, Jace said, “I am taking her with me.”.

“You're taking her with you?” As if he had heard something unbelievable, Kane repeated Jace'swords. “And who do you think you are to take her with you?”

Kane then turned his head slightly and whispered to Luther and Seth, “I guess blood must be shedtoday, huh? Someone threw himself into the den willingly, what else are we supposed to do? GetSage somewhere safe, I don't want blood to get on her.”

Jace was unfazed by Kane's taunt. He only had his eyes fixed on Sage, who was being shielded bytwo other men.

“Are you not leaving with me?” Staggering, Sage, had her head lean on Seth's shoulders. Shemocked, “Who are you to me anyway? Why should I go with you?”
