Chapter 238

Over at Tasteful Restaurant, Sage had prepared a table full of dishes for Sean the lawyer, along withSuki and Dean,

Sage knew that Sean had always been a fan of grand gestures. Her plan was for them to go to theSaint Lutens Hotel, she had even made a reservation for a private room. Sean, however, declined theoffer. “Let's go to Tasteful Restaurant instead, I miss your cooking.”. “What are you in the mood for?”Sage chuckled lightly and asked. “I haven't had a good meatball meal in a long time.”

"Sure, let's get you some good meatballs.” That afternoon, Sage took an early day off. She arrived atTasteful Restaurant and went down to the kitchen.

Myles, who was doing some prep work, saw Sage walking into the kitchen and putting on the

chef's hat, and asked shockingly, “Master, are you cooking?” “Yeah.” Sage hummed in response. “Animportant friend of mine wanted some meatballs, so I'll be making some for him.” “Let me be yoursous-chef, then.” “It's alright. Didn't you accept a new apprentice recently? Maybe he can come andhelp me out, “Sage suggested as she looked around for what she needed. “Sure. He has trainingtoday so he might be running a little late. He'll be here in just a second. “Myles replied as his eyesglowed in anticipation. Myles dialed the apprentice’s number immediately as he was getting excited. This was a once in a lifetime chance for that trainee of his to learn some tricks from Myles's master,he better not miss that precious chance! As Myles dialed the number, a clear voice was heard fromoutside saying, “Master, I'm here!” Just about time! Myles smiled brightly as he patted hisapprentice’s back and said to him, “Come on over, say hi to your master's master!” “Pleasuremeeting you, ma'am!” The apprentice greeted and bowed politely to Sage.

Sage just retrieved her chef uniform from the shelf to replace a slender young man standing before her.Contrary to the white jersey he was wearing that day, he wore a simple and clean white t-shirt and apair of blue jeans. He looked sleek and refreshing.

The young man stood dumbfounded when he saw Sage. He raised his hand up and exclaimed,” Hey,you're the pretty senior from that day!” Myles hit the young man’s hand lightly and lectured hisjunior, “Watch your manners, this is your grandmaster!”

Myles then bowed and apologized to Sage, “Please don’t mind him, he’s just a kid.”

Myles was worried that Sage would think poorly of his apprentice and would refuse to teach him.Seeing as the young man still stood at the same spot, Myles lightly kicked him at his shin andwhispered aggressively to him, “Lil b*stard, stop being so insensitive! Quickly put your stuff awayand help your grandmaster with her gown!” The young man snapped back to his senses and put hisstuff away rashly. Then, he took the gown from Sage’s hands. He stared at the gown and back atSage again, not knowing what exactly to do... He looked over to Myles for help. “Master, h-how am Isupposed to put this on?”

Myles glared at the young man and wondered how the apprentice could be so dense on such animportant day. He had always been pretty quick-witted. Myles suppressed his anger and said, “Whatdo you mean how? Just do it like how you usually do mine!” Myles was right, however, he had neverput on a gown on a woman before. Looking at the helpless young man with a face flushed like atomato, Sage did not know whether to cry or to laugh. “It's alright, let me do it myself.”

The young man reached out his hands to pass the gown back to Sage but quickly retrieved themback when he saw how Myles was glaring at him. He looked back at Sage and stuttered in fear,"Grandmaster, 1-let me help you with the gown.” The young man was flustered, he put on the gownfor Sage shyly and carefully. Albeit being timid, the young man was quick with his movements, seeing that he had been doing this for a while now.
