Chapter 256

Sage was adamant about her intention. They could never afford her fees. Ada felt apologetic as shecould not move forward with the collaboration between Norah and Yuriel Group. She could notexpose Sage’s identity as Master of Jade, so she made up an excuse about Master of Jade unable tofit Yuriel Jewelry into her schedule. On the other hand, Sage could not care less about Yuriel Jewelry. She furrowed her brows as she focused on the commercial shoot's monitor.

The director's expression looked solemn as well. “What is going on with the two of them? They didwell separately, but when they're together, it looks awkward.”

Sage noticed the same thing. She looked in Seth and Suki’s direction.

Both of them each carried a different product. Seth wore a necklace charm named “Key to my Heart".He looked dashingly handsome with a white shirt on. The collar was wide open, and his chestmuscles were on display. The women on the side had to fan themselves with their hands as theirfaces turned bright red. Surprisingly, Seth, who always had dark hair, colored his hair into a coraltone-the same color as the Charlotte Lady rose in the center of the charm he wore. He was eloquentyet full of passion. The man was a heartthrob. Sage begged him for a long time for the hair change, and he finally gave in. Suki looked amazing too. She had a pale yellow dress on, and her makeupwas toned down from her usual style. She wore a minimal amount of accessories, and her waist-length hair was cut to a short bob. She also placed a yellow rose in her hair. The sexy womaneveryone knew became demure and cute.

It was refreshing. She had the “Queen of Hearts’ ring on her finger. She wore it casually, yet it wasstriking. They did exceptionally well in their shots and were able to depict the product's designconcepts. However, when they were paired together, there was a whiff of awkwardness in the air.Everyone could tell they tried hard, but they still failed to break the barrier.

The director immediately understood the situation and softly explained to Sage, “They must havefought.”

It was almost mealtime, so Sage signaled for everyone else to go on their break and pause theshooting since it was not going well.

Suki and her staff walked into the waiting room.

Seth stared as Suki left, and a water bottle appeared in front of his eyes. He blinked and fetched thebottle from Sage’s hands, looking guilty. “I'm so sorry for delaying the progress.”

Professional actors were supposed to leave behind their true emotions in production scenes. Sethcould mask his sadness when his mother passed away in an accident, but he could not controlhimself at that shoot.

Sage sat him down on the couch and asked calmly, “Did you two get into a fight?” Seth gulpeddown half of the bottle. “We didn't. I wanted to get back together with her, but she rejected me.”Sage crossed her legs and curiously asked, “Who wanted to break up in the first place?” Seth tiltedhis head, looked at his sister, and laughed bitterly. “She did.” Sage raised her brows, “Why?” Sethlooked at her, but not a word came out of his mouth. Sage recalled the conversation between Sukiand Seth at the gardens. “You two aren’t even cousins. How could you call yourselves siblings? You're friends with benefits!”

“Didn't you fall for me because I looked similar to Sage? Am I just a replacement for you?” Sagesaid, “Oh, I remember now. Suki was mad because she thought you liked me. Wasn't that clearedup? Could she still be jealous of her future sister-in-law?”
