A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 285
Chapter 285 Yeva's words made them laugh like maniacs. It was the best joke they have heard allyear. Yeva became even angrier from their laughter, “What are you guys laughing about now? You'rescared isn't it?"
Sage tilted her head and looked at Yeva, “You've got a huge potential starring in a comedy. WhenJulian chases you out of the house one day, come look for me. I've got just the career for
you."
Yeva could tell that she was being mocked. “Are you humiliating me?” “No,” Sage sounded sincere.“I'm trying to compliment you. It's not easy being a comedian! Definitely not easier than marryingrich.”
Yeva still thought she was mocking her, “Stop joking around. I'm serious, if you bully me again, I'llget my husband to finish you!”
“Julian, right? Go home and ask him to do it right now, do you think he has the guts to do so?”Sage looked expressionless, “He'll never have the guts to lay a finger on me. Also, does he evenlisten to you?”
"I..." Yeva was stopped by Sage before she could continue, “If you continue causing trouble to him,he might not even marry you. Do you think he would still marry you, or cancel the wedding if heknew your dad was no longer the chairman of Norah Group?”
Yeva's face was as pale as a ghost. She dared not to speak any further. On the day before Sage'sbirthday, Jace went to Lang City. He was still persistent in paying a visit to the collector's home totake a look at the Jade Master's art piece.
Perhaps, if everything went smoothly, he could talk to Sage about his collaboration with the JadeMaster when he arrived in Salem City.
That collector lived far away and he moved several times. Jace finally found him after hours oftraveling. He greeted him and went straight to the point.
That collector smiled after hearing Jace's intentions and said, “You may take a look, but it's not forsale. To be honest, many people came to me looking for the Jade Master's art pieces. They werewilling to pay high prices too, but I just couldn't part with them. I'm planning to keep them as mylegacy.” Jace understood. He'd be happy to just take a look.
The collector told him to wait for a moment as he disappeared into the study.
Moments later, he came out with a tray, and there were two items covered in cloth. Jace could tellthe art pieces were important to the collector,
The collector revealed what was underneath. They were small. On the left, it was a white jade piececalled Athena, the Greek goddess of war. Many people have sculpted Athena on jade, but this jadeart was double-sided. On one side it was Athena as
a child and on the other was her at war. It was exquisite.
The artwork and skills were meticulous. Jace could recite poetry about Athena in his mind looking atthe art piece. He couldn't stop staring at it.
“What do you think?” The collector looked at Jace and laughed, “Aren’t you amazed at her skills?”EN
“Yes,” Jace nodded, “I don't know why but it resembles someone I know.”
"Oh really?” The collector teased him, “Was she your lover?”
Jace slightly froze and he smiled without saying a word. He sighed to himself, perhaps he washaunted and everyone looked like Sage at this point.
He picked up the art piece and the bottom had a sentence — She was their protector, the guardianof their dreams.
Jace carefully examined closely at the font, and it looked familiar. He suddenly thought ofsomething as he rummaged through his pocket for his rose stamp.
As he put the two together, the writing seemed exactly the same. Jace’s pupil widened from therealization. It's her!
