"Jim has no interest in engaging in a conversation with you.”

With a straight face and a cold tone, she added, “Either you shut your mouth, or get down from thecar.”

Jace finally stopped talking

Shortly after, they arrived at the airport. There were two private jets on the spacious flying groundand Jace thought of boarding the same plane as Sage’s but Sage did not give him the chance to.Bringing Jim along with him, Sage quickly boarded the plane and closed the door behind them.Staring at the door that was closed as he stood still, Jace was dumbfounded.

Zayne took a glimpse at Jace and felt sorry for him.

"Sir, there's something that I don't know if you tell me.”

With a hardened expression, Jace'replied, “Forget about it then.”

Jace thought that if Zayne hesitated whether he should tell, it was probably some bad newsScratching the tip of his nose, Zayne felt fortunate that he bit down his tongue and stopped himselffrom saying anything. He guessed that Jace would have ended up sending him to the North Poleinstead.

As he wanted to tell Jace that sucking up to anyone would not get him anywhere.

The plane finally took off. Feeling like she left the rowdiness and chaotic duo behind her, Sage felt asense of relief.

Adjusting her seat, Sage then took a rest.

It was rather cold on the plane and Sage was about to ask for a blanket when Jim, who returnedfrom the washroom, came over to her seat with a blanket in his hands. “Sage, here, cover yourselfwith this. Don't catch a cold.”

“Thank you,” Sage was about to get up from her seat when Jim said, “here, let me help you.”Bending over, he covered Sage with the blanket. “Sage, do you want to take a nap?”

“I'm feeling sleepy but I don't feel like sleeping.”

Jim stared at her and blinked, “Would you like to watch a movie then?”

Sage chuckled. “Sure.”

Jim chose a suspenseful movie and took out a handful of tidbits from his backpack. Most of themwere specialties from Ark Town.

Sage opened up a bag of cookies before the movie started

The movie finally started and the thrilling and suspenseful part of the story slowly built up. Jim thensaid, “Sage, you can hold onto me if you're feeling scared. Don't worry.”

Sage looked at him, puzzled. "Hmm?"

Jim pressed his lips together and explained to Sage that his friends would always come home withtheir arms covered in bruises after watching thrillers or scary movies with their girlfriends. Fromwhat they told him, their girlfriends would hold onto their arms tightly or even scratch thembecause of the jumpscares.

Sage found it interesting yet at the same time funny. Pulling into a smile, she said, “Ah, I see. I thinkI should be fine.”

After all, Kane always teamed up with her to dress up as a monster or ghost to prank the rest of herbrothers. She dressed up in all kinds of characters that one would replace in a thriller or ghost movie.Those scenes in the movie were nothing compared to what she experienced back then.

However, she did enjoy the movie because it was some time since she had the time to watch amovie and she was also able to reminisce about past times.

At the thought of Nigel and Luther desperately running away from her that one time when she wasdressed up as a ghost, Sage burst into laughter.

Coincidentally, the female lead of the movie also started laughing sinisterly after being possessed.Jim slowly tightened his grip on the bag of chips when he suddenly heard a laugh next to him.Startled, the bag of chips popped and the chips were scattered all over the floor.

There was an awkward silence on the plane.

Perhaps Sage found Jim adorable and even after they got off the plane, the corners of her lips werestill curled up.

As soon as they entered the airport, they saw Jace and the rest who waited by the entrance.

At the sight of Sage and Jim who walked side by side, with smiles on their faces, Jace felt a freshswell of jealousy rose in him

Sage, on the other hand, stopped smiling as soon as she noticed Jace.

Just when she walked past him, Jace said, “The exit is surrounded by Dean's fans and reporters. Youcan't just walk out like that.”

Looking at Sage’s outfit and make-up, Jace pressed his lips together and said, “You might need tobear with us.”
