A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 350
Chapter 350 “You prepared all these?” Studying the young lad in front of him, Yoel found it hard tobelieve.
He still recalled the last time he tried Jim's beef lasagna, he thought that Jim's cooking still hadroom for improvement. However, Yoel nearly thought that today’s dishes were prepared by ChefDamian
It had not been a long time but Jim surprisingly improved a lot.
Pressing his lips tightly together, Yoel started picking on Jim. “The meatballs ... are a bit dry and it'squite tough to chew on. And the lasagna? The cheese isn't enough and it should be baked longerfor it to be crispier on the top..."
Yoel started giving a bunch of comments but he was simply nitpicking. He only stoppedcommenting when he felt Sages cold stare on him.
Staring coldly at Yoel, Sage said, “Do you know how our restaurant treats customers like you?”
Yoel shook his head.
Sage replied, “Get the hell out if you don't like our food.”
Yoel was rendered speechless.
Can they treat customers this way?
Yoel, of course, did not want to be kicked out so he continued eating without saying another word.Jim then placed another two dishes on the table.
Sage said, “It's enough dishes for today, you can stop now. Get some early rest today, it must'vebeen a long day for you.”
Jim wanted to tell her that he was not tired but seeing how Sage was firm with her decision, he didnot want to push it. So he nodded and replied, “Okay, Sage.”
Before he left the room, he greeted Jace and Yoel politely, “Enjoy your meal, uncles.”
Yoel was dumbfounded. He was addressed as Mister or Sir for almost twenty years now and this wasthe first time he was being called an uncle. He felt as if he had aged. Yoel felt irritated yet at thesame time saddened.
After Jim left, Yoel felt as if he swallowed down his frustration for the entire evening. Finallyexploding, he scolded, “That brat did it on purpose, right? Who the hell is his uncle?”
"Are you done?” Sage too, got irritated. Her brows were furrowed tightly together. It was as if
she was about to end the dinner right away.
Jace took some pasta and placed it onto Sage’s plate and said to her, “Age is catching up to him,you can just ignore him. Have some more, you've lost a lot of weight.”
Sage frowned and did not say anything. She thought to herself that Jace and Yoel teamed up to notlet her eat in peace.
Yoel, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes at Jace as he thought to himself: “This dull and boringman is trying to flatter Sage?"
Yoel thought that his plan failed tonight and Jace had the upper hand now.
It was Yeva's wedding ceremony the very next day.
The light of dawn just seeped into her room when Sage was woken up by her ringing phone.
Yeva spammed calls to both Sage and Leah since morning as she was worried that the both of themwould not show up at her wedding. Indeed, Sage had no plans of attending.
"Give me a reason why I should go.”
Sage was still drowsy. With her eyes still closed, she replied coldly and indifferently, “Don’t bullshitme with sayings about the bond between us is precious or that you want my blessings. I haveabsolutely no interest in whether you're happy or not. I don't care.”
On the other end of the call, Yeva cried out anxiously, “Grandpa will be attending my wedding!Don't you want to see him?"
