A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 407
Chapter 407 Zane laid flat on the ground and said with difficulty, “I indeed have been... slightly b-busy recently.”
“I know. You're busy sending your girlfriend abroad to appease her so that you'd be inseparablefrom her.” Sage sighed, “Young girls nowadays are very smart. If you can't provide a certain level ofbenefits, she could just kick you away in a jiffy and replace herself another man. Are you addicted tobeing cheated on? “You left your own daughter behind and did not care nor love her, but youhelped another man raise his son. Now, you've found yourself another girl who's about yourdaughter's age. You're significantly older than her, but you still got together with her. Aren't youafraid that you'll be punished? “That makes sense too. Once a person has gotten a taste of being ananimal, they wouldn't want to be human anymore.” Sage rubbed her palms together. She did nothide her sarcasm and contempt for her Uncle Zane.
Zane bit his lip and was unable to say anything at all.
At that moment, all of the properties under his name had been taken back by Sage. He was simply abroke man. When his girlfriend, whom he had carefully protected for a few months, learned that hehad become a discredited person and could no longer help her go abroad, she dumped himmercilessly. All the sweet nothings, the promises of only marrying him, and the so-called true lovewere all fake!
She was clearly only after his money! When Wayne heard that, his pupils trembled as he wasshocked, “What? Castor isn't your son? He's the son of Gwyneth and another man?” “Gwyneth is asI*t. She's a b*tch!” Zane cursed fiercely. Both his eyes completely reddened. That absolutely was thegreatest humiliation of his life! He was tricked by that woman for so many years!
Sage coldly said, “Leah told you ages ago about what kind of person Gwyneth was, but you justdidn't believe her. You even blindly helped that b*tch go against your own daughter. The wages ofsin is damnation. You've brought all of this onto yourself.”
Only then did Zane lift his head and look at Leah. “Yes, I've failed Leah. I've let her suffergrievances... but that's all because that b*tch, Gwyneth. She kept driving a wedge between us andruining our father-daughter relationship! Leah, I do love you!” Leah was reminded of the days shewas locked up and abused in the small black room at home. She painfully shut her eyes and beganto tear up.

She sneered miserably. “Love me? Do you even believe the words that come out of your mouth? Toyou, I, as your daughter, am just someone who is dispensable to you. You've always wanted a son,and you disliked my mother for not being able to give you one, so you abandoned her.
"Gwyneth eventually gave you a son, but is he yours in the end? You reap what you sow. You can'tblame it on anybody. If you want to blame someone, blame yourself. You have been harmed byyour own insatiable greediness. You're being damned because of your ungratefulness andviciousness.” “You damned girl. How dare you talk about your father like that!?” Zane got riled upagain as he replied Leah. He climbed back up to hit her. Hunter stepped forward and blocked him.His expression got dark and cold. “How dare you touch her?” Sage responded calmly, “Hunter, takeUncle Zane away. Don't interrupt Grandpa's rest. Also, help him get a good stretch while you're at it.Since he likes to beat people up, then spar with him properly.” Hunter immediately obeyed Sagesinstructions. He stepped forward and carried Zane away as if carrying a big bear. “Sage...” Waynesaid slowly.
Sage turned her head around and said, “I understand, Grandpa. Don’t worry. I won't let you send ayounger loved one away to the Great Beyond again. I promise you that I won't hurt their lives whileyou are alive. I'm just letting them suffer a little.” Wayne sighed deeply. “Your two uncles areworthless. I long had nothing more to say about them anymore. Just deal with them however youwant. However, Yeva... Yeva is your cousin, after all.”
People said that grandparents would love their grandchildren. Elder Norah loved all three of hisgranddaughters. “You are older than her. If Yeva has done something wrong, you can discipline her. However, members of our family should be disciplined by ourselves. There's no place for others tobully us. What do you say?” Sage initially did not want to be involved in the matter. However, sinceher grandfather had already mentioned it, it was not good for her to go against his intention as well.“Alright. Don't worry. I'll pay a visit to the Jefferson family and get Yeva out of there.”
