A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 421
Chapter 421 A person's face and body would appear bigger on camera, especially when no filterswere used. However, Sage's unfiltered beauty was fully shown.
She was standing at the center of the stage. Her formal clothes were neat and nicely pressed. Herflowing lush black hair was either tied up into a refreshing high ponytail or a gentle low ponytail. She stood there naturally with poise and was interpreting and hosting in multiple languages in anorderly fashion. There was not a trace of stage fright in her. She was speaking eloquently in thoseunfamiliar and familiar languages, and she was confident and charming... When he saw that, hecould not help but wonder what had blinded his eyes in the past that he did not realize how greatshe was.
Jace could not help but be fully immersed in Sage's charm of being able to speak multiplelanguages. Then, for the first time in his life, he actually felt a sense of inferiority. If he did not workany harder, he truly would not be worthy to be with her.
Early morning the following day. Sage woke up very early. To her, sleep was the best cure to get ridof her exhaustion. After a night's sleep, she was feeling completely refreshed. She had just gottendressed and was about to leave the house when she received a call from Ross.
She clicked on the answer button and called out, “Ross.” Then, she directly walked toward the guestbedroom and opened the door to Melody's room.
No one would ever dare to compliment Melody on her sleeping posture. She was sleeping on herstomach with her head on the pillow, one of her legs curled, and her bottom slightly raised. Thecovers had long been kicked off to somewhere. She looked just like a three-year old who had notgrown up. Sage went forward and slapped her bottom. “Silly girl, your father is on the phone.”Melody was still in her dreams, so she woke up with great fury. She said in a low voice, “Gosh, getout of here. I don't have a father...” Sage said on the phone, “Your daughter doesn’t want toacknowledge you.”
"Perfect. I'll be able to save money then.”
Ross, who was on the other end of the call, was not anxious at all. He instructed his disciples — whowere drying the herbs in the courtyard and practicing yoga — his personal opinion. He camly spoke,“If you don't think she is annoying, then just let her stay at Rosa Garden for a few more days. If youthink she is annoying, kick her out and it'll be fine.”
Sage could not stand the pair of father and daughter. “You only have one daughter. How can youbear to do something like that?”
Sage was speechless.
"Of course I can. I can just have another child. If the first one is ruined, I'll have another and try withthe next one instead.” Sage was speechless. He was unexpectedly calm and unbothered talkingabout it. Sage had him on loudspeaker, so Melody had heard every single word that Ross spoke ofloud and clear. Earlier, she was still half-awake, but now, she sprung up, turned her head, andshouted at the phone, “Go ahead and have another child. I'd like to see how you can produceanother child as smart, cute, pretty, and stunning as me. Old man, we're father and daughter afterall, right? Let me give you a piece of advice.” Ross said, “Hmm. I'm all ears.” Melody said, “You canonly produce pups if you get together with vixens. If you wish to turn Mostal into a fox den, then goahead and spread your wings as much as you like! Goodbye!” She angrily hung up the call rightafter. Sage looked at Melody — who was so infuriated that she was willing to run away from home —and asked curiously, “What kind of girls did your father have been dating that made you reject themso much?”
“It's those ugly and flirty ones. In any case, there's a world of difference between you and them. Myold man is already old. His eyesight isn't what it used to be. I'm not going to care about himanymore. If he is willing to degrade himself, then I'll just let him rot on his own!” Melody was nowcompletely awake considering the fact that she was passionately cursing her old man. After thisenergetic burst of anger, her stomach grumbled from the fiasco. So she pestered Sage to godownstairs for breakfast.
When they arrived downstairs , Sage unexpectedly saw a man sitting in the dining room. He waseating a sandwich and drinking milk. His posture was so natural that it was as if he was in his ownhome.
There was no one else but Mister Fulton who could that shameless to come uninvited and be sounbothered by the others.
While Melody was clinging to Sage and complaining about her father, she was caught off guardwhen she saw a handsome man dressed in a tracksuit in the dining room. Her big eyes weresparkling, and her complaints came to an abrupt halt.
She stared at Yoel. Then, she suddenly tugged on Sage’s shirt and asked, “Aunt Sage, this old man isreally good looking. Is he your lover?”
Before Sage answered her, Yoel first raised his lovely eyes at her and it turned into a glare. “Kid, whoare you calling old man?"
