A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 444
Chapter 444 For her age, it was not weird that Sage would be treated as someone else's aunt butthat was the first time she was seen as a mother
Sage looked up at Jim. “Do you have a death wish?"
Jim immediately shook his head frantically.
With a hardened expression on her face, Sage continued applying the ointment on his finger, sounding rather unfriendly, Sage said, “I'm okay with you calling me sis, but don't push it further.”Jim replied obediently, “Okay.” He then asked, “Is the man one of your brothers too? “Yeah,” Sagewiped her hand clean, put on the cover of the bottle, and added, “he’s my godbrother.”
Nodding his head, Jim murmured, “You have so many brothers...”
“You too, aren't you?”
Sage thought that Jim was simply being jealous. Chuckling, she said, “Not everyone's as lucky as me.You're already lucky to have one brother.” Jim looked up at her and smiled, “You're right.”
Getting up from the chair, Jim said to Sage, “My brother's recovering quickly all thanks to you. OnceDean returns after wrapping up his shoot, we'll treat you to a meal.” “It's nothing big.”
Sage smiled and accepted his invitation. “Alright then.”
Returning upstairs, Sage realized that her three brothers already started eating.
Their topic of conversation moved from Emily to Sage. They each stared at her with a piercing gaze.Luther said, “Do you guys even know what I felt when I drove to Nadeem City just to pick her up?She was married for three years and when she left the Yuriel mansion, she was penniless, but I washappy for her.”
“Nonsense, of course, you'd be happy.”
Kane was already feeling a bit tipsy from all the drinking. Pointing at Sage, he said, “Our youngesthas finally freed herself from hell. She no longer needs to babysit that man. It's something worthcelebrating, ain't it? Come on, cheers!”
Holding a wine glass in his hand, Kane walked over to Sage, put his arm around Sage, and passedthe wine glass to her.

Taking a close look at the wine glass, Sage asked, “You drank from this, didn't you?” Kane glared ather.
"Yeah, so what? Are you disgusted by it?” Sage nodded. “I am.” Even still, she finished the glass ofwine in one mouthful. She got the bottle of Chateau-Cissac at the wine party held at Brown City. The wine tasted smooth and not strong. Sage then took a seat by the table. “Stop bringing up allthese trivial past matters. Who doesn't have their embarrassing moments? Should I bring up yoursas well?” The three guys retorted. “Who says we have any embarrassing moments?” Taking aspoonful of the soup, Sage looked at her brothers one by one. “Ross, I think mom saved you whenyou were only about ten years old. I wasn't born yet but my dad told me you ran away from a packof wolves in the mountains. You were crying and shouting for help and in the end, you realized thatyou were chased by roe deers.” Ross: “..." “As for you Kane, you learned martial arts when you wereyoung and you never lost in any of the fights that you got into. Remember how you always shovedit in our face? But there was this one time where you got hit by a girl, and you ended up crying. You've been searching for her for years, haven't you? So, did you replace her?” Kane: “..."

“And Luther, I can't even keep track of the number of times that you cried. But there was one timewhen mom dressed you up as a girl, fixing your hair into braids and putting a dress on you, for thatstage performance. You were even showing off your dress to me.” Pretending as if he forgot aboutthe incident, Luther asked, “Did 1?”
