Chapter 447

Ross's grandmother was also a practitioner of yoga since young. She was at an age of ninety yearsold but she was still healthy and did not have any problems with moving around.

Dressed in an oversize white tee and standing underneath the overcast gray skies, Ross gave off asomewhat mysterious vibe. His movements were smooth yet precise. Sage warmed up at a sidebefore joining Ross for yoga.

The yoga that Ross and Sage practiced was rather different than the ones that most peoplepracticed. The type that Ross and Sage practiced involved elements and movements portrayingcharacteristics of certain animals according to the practitioners’ body size.

For instance, Ross would practice movements that were similar to that of a bear or a tiger whereasSage would usually practice movements that were similar to a bird or a deer.

Wrapping up his practice, Ross glanced over at Sage’s movements and pulled into a pleased smile.“Not bad, Sage. You haven't been practicing for years but you're still good.”

Sage rolled her eyes at him. Holding the umbrella for Sage, Ross and her walked back into thehouse. Sage asked, “How'd it go with Emily last night?” Ross replied, “So-so.” “What do you mean?”Sage was curious. Ross paused before replying, “I told her that if she dares to go after Yoel again, I'llbreak her legs.”

Sage felt her lips twitching. “And Emily agreed?” “You know how Emily is just like you, don't you?Stubborn as a mule,” Ross teased. Sage retorted, “Come again?”

"Ah, that's not the point.”

Ross shrugged his shoulders and added, “She begged me to give her a chance.” Sage asked, “Whatchance?”

“She wanted me to give her a chance to try to make Yoel fall in love with her during the summerbreak, and if Yoel does fall for her, I'd have to give them my blessing.”

For some reason, when Emily told her that, Ross felt as if a piece of his heart was taken away fromhim.

He could finally understand what it felt to lose one’s child.

“And you agreed to it?"

Sage looked at Ross in disbelief.

Ross pressed his lips tightly together and let out a bitter laugh. “How could I not? That determinedlook on her face was exactly the way you looked that very year. And it was then I realized that Emilywould end up following your footsteps.” Sage felt her heart drop. She was regretful that she was nota good example to her niece. Would she want Emily to go through the same pain as her? Yoel andJace were quite similar in some ways. Jace did not know how to love but Yoel, on the other hand, was labeled as a notorious lover.

In any case, Yoel too was a dangerous figure.

Frowning, Ross said flatly, “Emily must be in her rebellious phase now. The more I stopped her fromdoing something, the more that she would insist on doing it. If that's the case, I would rather let herfollow her heart. In any case, she wouldn't be able to change Yoel's mind.”

Sage glanced at Ross. “You came up with a plan, didn’t you?” A smile crept across Ross’ face. “Let'ssee how Emily is going to convince Yoel if they aren't going to see each other at all.”

Sage looked up at the sky and sighed as she thought to herself, “Seems like I won't be seeing Yoelfor a while in Nadeem City.’ Sage guessed that her days in the upcoming weeks would turn quiet.
