Jace's brows knitted into a frown.

Yoel glared furiously at Jace. “Dude, I've been saying so much, and that's the only thing that youcare about?”

“The point of this entire story is not that Sage has another godbrother, it's her godbrother'sdaughter, Emily Samuel! And that girl has feelings for me and she wants me to run away with her!Doesn't that sound terrifying to you?”

Jace pressed his lips tightly together. “Ross Samuel. Are you sure that he's the godbrother, notSage's blood-related brother?”

Yoel raged. “It's his godbrother! But judging by how they interact, they might as well be blood -related...are you even listening to me? Emily said she wants to run away with me! Runaway!” Jacethought that Yoel was being rowdy. Looking at Yoel in disdain, Jace said flatly, “But aren't you herenow?"

Yoel suddenly paused. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips when he recalled what Emily toldhim. He then looked up to see Jace staring at him, with a questioning look on his face.

“In any case, I won't be able to stay in Nadeem City any longer. Not only have I become the targetof Ross Samuel, but even the rest of Sage's brothers are also keeping their eyes on me. Narrowing his eyes at Yoel, Jace said, “Find someplace else to stay for the night.” “Am I not yourbest buddy? Don't be so cold toward me.”

Yoel put on a pitiful expression and leaned closer toward Jace. “The Yuriel mansion has been vacantfor quite some time, ain't it? Why can't I stay there for a few days?”

Arching one of his brows, Yoel added, “Are you worried that Id replace out about your life with Sageback then? Fret not, buddy. It's all in the past now, I don't mind.”

With a darkened expression, Jace replied flatly, “But I care. You can sleep on the streets tonight.”“Come on Jace, don't be like that..."

Sage frowned throughout her meeting with Mister Tobias, her company’s legal advisor as sheflipped through the contract in her hand. “Half of the profit? Are you sure?” Seated opposite Sage,Mister Tobias adjusted his glasses and replied solemnly, “Yes. I've talked to Mister Wayne and heagreed that this was the condition that he proposed to the other party. He even stopped me fromtelling you about this and he'll see how things turn out after he receives the money.”

“Grandpa's asking for a lot, isn't he?” Sage was not surprised by her grandfathers skill and after all,the project was promoted using his name and reputation in the field. Sage knew that without hergrandfather's involvement, the project might be affected. Hence, it was understandable that Wayneasked for such a huge sum

However, Sage was surprised that Jace would agree to his request.

“If there are no other issues and grandpa agrees to the terms and conditions, he can sign thecontract then.” Sage handed the contract back to Mister Tobias. Sage called for Louis and had himmake arrangements to send Wayne to Nadeem City. In the middle of giving orders to Louis, Sagereceived text notifications on her phone. The messages were from Zachary. Yoel arched his brow at the sight of Jace's reaction.
