Chapter 463 “Guess I'll be protecting you from now on.” Melody was still deep in her fantasy whenSage called out to her, “Melody.” Melody raised her arm up mischievously and said, “Present!” Sagelooked up at her coldly and said, “Is that all from you?" Melody blinked her eyes and looked over atRoss’ sunken face and was reminded that there were things unsettled.

Sigh, it seemed that the good ol’ Ross was actually angry, seeing that his expression had notsoftened, as if someone had owed him a million dollars. “Ross,” she called out.

No one answered.

“Daddy,” she called out again.

No one answered.

“My dearest father.” “Yes.” Ross answered. Finally.

Melody muttered, “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have run away from home again and again. Making you,Aunt Sage, and all the uncles worried. I shouldn't have done that. From now on, I'll never run awayfrom home ever again. Since I'm almost of age now, I should act more like an adult. If father couldbe so forgiving and kind as to allow Brother Ric... No, Brother Yoel and I to be together, I promise tobe a good and obedient daughter.”

Melody said all of that in one breath, and she was proud of herself.

Yoel, on the other hand, was stunned. Is this kid for real?!

Ross stood up all of a sudden and startled Melody, and she ran to hide behind Yoel. “Help me,Brother Yoel!"

Yoel was forced to face Ross’ cold expression. He felt Melody pulling on his shirt so hard that shealmost tore it. Yoel smiled forcibly and said, “Ross... Please don't take what a child said soseriously...”

Melody poked her head out and said, “I'm not a child anymore! Also... you're my boyfriend. Howcan you call my father by his first name, you should refer to him as Mister Ross.”

That one sentence alone almost killed Yoel, and it also made Ross even more furious than before. With lightning speed, Ross grabbed Melody's wrists and cuffed them together with a hair tie.

He then tossed Melody into Sages arm and ordered, “Get her into the car.” Melody wanted toprotest, but Ross’ voice was heard almost immediately, “If she throws a tantrum, stuff her mouth, knock her out, and put her in the boot.” ...How ruthless.

Melody did not utter another word as she turned to look pitifully at Yoel.

Yoel pursed his lips as if he was going to say something when Ross said, “Mister Yoel, let's

talk.”

*...Oh, alright. Okay.” Sage and Luther brought Melody outside the house, leaving Ross and Yoel inthe living room to have a man-to-man conversation

Jace stood by the window in the master bedroom. Upon seeing Sage leaving the house, he randownstairs in an instant, without even looking at Yoel for a second.

Yoel opened his mouth and closed it again right away, feeling distressed. Who could help him now?
