Sage and Laura quickly became best friends a little sooner than everyone thought.

They were both direct and straightforward, and there were no issues communicating with eachother. Though Laura had a military background and seemed masculine at times, she was still a littlegirl at heart and enjoyed pretty things.

Sage spent most of her time in Nadeem City working, jade engraving, visiting Jace’s mother, lookingafter Melody, and shopping with Laura. Laura had a banging body figure, just like models on arunway. Her androgynous style suited any of the clothes Sage picked for her, and even girls couldfall for her...

Sage got too excited and could not help but take pictures of her in various styles. It was like a photoshoot. Sage gasped in awe when she looked at the photos she had taken of Laura.

"Babe, come work for me as a brand ambassador when you retire from the military. It's a waste nottaking advantage of your face and figure as a model.” Laura fiddled with the bucket hat in her handsand laughed, “Sure! Will I be paid?” Sage raised her brows and said, “Of course.” Laura laughedhappily and grabbed Sage, “It's great to have a loaded friend like you. I'll never starve.”

They walked out of the boutique and went straight to feasting in a restaurant.

They were pretty intimate while having their dinner. They fed each other food from their plates andraised their glasses. Both of them were having so much fun.

The two men in the black car parked outside the restaurant were having less fun looking at them.They could not stand it anymore. Kane's brows furrowed so hard that they could kill someone. Sowhy did they have to feed each other? Have they got no hands?

Jace's lips pursed slightly as he felt jealous. He thought he only needed to be wary of the menaround Sage, but he never thought he needed to watch out for a woman!

Where did Laura appear from? she could not have picked a worse time to appear in Sage’'s life. Sucha nuisance!

The sound of wine glasses clashing against each other in Laura and Sage’s hands radiated aroundthe room. They downed a glass of wine and felt great about it.

Laura spoke, “I've been hanging out with men for too long. I almost forgot that I'm a girl, but ofcourse, none of them treated me like a lady. They did all sorts of disgusting things in front of meand spoke foully all the time. It's great to hang out with a girl friend again! You smell nice when Ihugged you just now.”

Sage raised her eyelids at Laura.” You're kidding! I smell horrible. I'm so sweaty. I smell the best aftera shower. Come have a sleepover with me tonight!”

“It's a date!”

Laura raised her glass, and both of them drank it all up. Looking at Sage being beautiful andattractive, Laura slammed the table and said, “I just don't get it. Is Jace blind or plain dumb? Such abeautiful woman lingering around him for three years, and he didn't make a move on you?”
