In the wee hours, Jace was woken up by the thunderstorm outside.

He left his bed to close the windows, and the rain splashed on his face as he did. The world outsidewas pitch dark.

Sage should have arrived in Yathein by now, not sure if the flight was affected by the weather Hefrowned slightly, soon realized that the time zone and weather in both countries were very muchdifferent, and smiled at his silliness.

He went back to lay on his bed, however for some reason, he could not fall asleep. He felt as thoughsomething was blocking his chest.

He closed his eyes but could not fall asleep no matter what.

He turned on his phone, and wanted to browse some news. Soon, he saw a news on a plane wentmissing while flying from Salem City to Birmingham, he stood up immediately!

Salem City to Birmingham, flight number Y1106, wasn't that the plane that Sage was on?

His heart twitched.

His phone suddenly vibrated, it was Zayne. Jace picked up the call with his cold and sweaty hand.His throat was dry, “Hello?”

"Mister Jace, Miss Sage’s flight went missing...”

Jace's eyes were réd, his blood was frozen in his vessels. Flight number Y1106 was not contactable,and every media company was covering the news on the missing flight. The local authorities andYathein authorities were all desperately trying to locate the plane.

More than 10 cabin crews, 300 passengers were involved. The affected families panicked and allflocked to the airport for an explanation. The airport got so congested from the crowd. Jace arrivedat the airport too, after braving through the merciless storms. He wanted to buy the earliest ticket toYathein, but because of this incident, all flights to Yathein were suspended.

He could only get his private jet to Salem City, as soon as possible. Zayne tried to stop him, “Noway, Mister. You had just gone through the cranial surgery, it has not even been three months yetsince the surgery. You could not take any flights now, it is dangerous for you!”

Jace was adamant. He only knew that he had to go to Sage, immediately. The closest he is to her,the better! He must replace her!

Zayne had no choice but to try to get information about the flight, at the same time getting theprivate jet crews to delay as much as possible on their end.

In the waiting lounge, Jace was sitting in one corner, not sure if it was because of the rain, he wasshivering, and his face pale.

Sweat rolled down his forehead, and he wassecretly praying deep down, Dear Lord, please have mercy, please make sure Miss Sage is safe andsound! I could not afford to be pranked with such a big joke!
