Chapter 723 “Alright, Roy then.” Grandma Yuriel laughed, “Are you two a thing?”

"What are you talking about?” Freya blushed, “Both of us are just friends with similar commoninterests. That's all...”

"What do you mean that's all? He came all the way from Mostal to our home. There must besomething going on.” Grand Yuriel was trying hard to make a match.

Grandma Yuriel chimed in, “I agree. He's a funny guy with good medical knowledge and seemedpretty easygoing. Plus, he’s much better than that Lucas boy. You look very happy when you're withhim.” Freya lowered her head and smiled unconsciously when she thought of Roy, “He's prettyfunny.” Grandpa Yuriel and Grandma Yuriel knew there was a chance of something blossomingbased on Freya's reaction. Their daughter had always been better and more talented than their sons. The only mishap she had was with her relationship with Lucas. She nearly died because of it andnow her son was...

Every parent loved their child. They only hoped that Freya would replace someone who loved and caredfor her for the rest of her life as well.

To win my beloved's heart, until death doth gray-haired part.

Sage sat on the balcony while reading a poetry book. Her thoughts were in a mess. She gazed at thenight sky, trying hard to organize her thoughts but realizing it was impossible. At first, she thoughtshe knew everything there is about Jace more than anyone else. Now, she started to doubt herselfwhen she found out that Jace was the one who painted The Starry Night.

No matter how skillful she was at hacking, there were some things that she would never be able touncover. She did not know that Jace was was very good at imitating paintings.

When she recalled arrogant she was when she faced Jace, she suddenly felt embarrassed andashamed. What was he thinking back then? Did he replace the whole situation amusing? Did he thinkthat she was a clown?

Sage sat by herself for a long time. After a while, she sighed. Saying that love was blind felt like atrue statement now... Maybe for the ten years she had a crush on Jace, she had always been in lovewith a figure that she had imagined. A man that was very tall, handsome, and cheerful. Perfect likeHelios, the sun god.

Regardless of that, Jace had never been a perfect sculpture. He was the same as everyone else, hehad his strengths and weaknesses as well. When Sage married Jace, she thought she married theman she had imagined. However, her fantasy perished when she got closer to him. It wasunbearable and she started to retreat.

Come to think of it, if she had the courage to face Sienna and took back her man withdetermination, then Sienna would not have had the chance to come in between them at all. In theend, Sage did not really love him at all, at least not as much as she had imagined she would lovehim.

With that thought, Sage smiled and put away the book. It was only now that she finally feltrelieved. Relieved of the love she had for Jace, and the hate.

As she walked back into the room she saw the painting, The Starry Night, on the bar. She used herfinger to softly touched it. “I loved him, and it was worth it.”
