Luther rushed into the ward room, acting like a middle-aged woman. “Goodness gracious, Sage isbeing confessed to!” Tim and Yale turned to look at him at the same time.

Sage was irked. She landed a kick on his back and seethed, “Luther Bennett, can you not be this“nosy!”

“It's not an offense to share the good news, is it?”

Luther adjusted his crumpled shirt and started telling Tim and Yale about what he overheard earlier.Sage tried to stop him but failed.

Finally, she locked her arms around his neck and warned, “Can you just please shut up!” “Sure...Ugh..."

Luther raised his hands to surrender.

Tim fumbled with a cigar between his fingers. The cigar was not lit as he placed the cigarunderneath his nose, taking in the smell of the cigar. He then asked faintly, “Who is this Jim Sylas?”Sage stayed quiet. “You don't know him.”

Luther answered instead, “Myles Damian, you know him, don’t you? Sage's apprentice. Jim Sylas isMyles's apprentice and by ranks, Sage would be his great-grandmaster...” Before he could evenfinish his sentence, Sage locked her arms around his neck again. She shot a cold glare at Luther."Are you done?” Seeing how Sage was really mad, Luther quickly zipped his mouth shut. Yale lookedat the duo. He was fascinated by their interaction.

It was only then Sage let go of Luther.

Tim simply chuckled at Sage's flustered and annoyed expression. “You got a confession, right? Whatis there to be mad about?”

Sage pressed her lips tightly together, not knowing what to say. Of course, she knew that it was niceto receive a confession but it was all too sudden and Sage was taken aback.

Besides, she received a confession from Jim, someone that she treated as a younger brother.

Sage knew that Jim had feelings for her but she did not think much about it. She assumed that limsimply admired her as his elder sister. She never thought that Jim would feel that way about her.“Sigh...” Sage let out a long exhale, leaned into the sofa, and said, “I must admit that it's not easy tobe attractive.”

Tim and Luther were both rendered speechless. Yale, on the other hand, could not help but slip outa chuckle and he accidentally triggered his wound causing him to hiss in pain. “Stay still will you!"Tim frowned as he walked over to him to adjust the tubes on Yale.

Yale was still wearing a face full of smiles. Tim looked at him and asked, “You've been smiling a lotafter the incident. You've never really smiled much.”

Sage walked over to them. Yale still stared at her and the more he looked at her, the more hewanted to laugh.

Sage was puzzled. She pointed at herself and asked him, “Am I that funny?” Tim and Luther lookedat her and nodded their heads at the same time.

Yes”

“You're quite funny.”

Sage responded, “Get lost!” The three of them burst into laughter.
