Chapter 814 When Jace went to Mostal and looked at Freya from a distance, she was still sitting inthe wheelchair. He thought her leg was not fully healed yet. He did not expect her to be able tostand up and walk! Freya looked at her son and was so excited that she was lost for words. Shehugged him tightly for a long while. It had been a long time since she was able to hug him like this.Freya's interaction with Jace decreased significantly after her leg injury. She had not been able tohug him like this.

Roy came along with Freya. He smiled with relief when he saw her hugging Jace.

Fortunately, it was just a hug. She did not hit him.

When the usually proud and arrogant Freya saw her son, her motherly side took over and was verygentle.

Aunt Wendy stood behind Freya, laughing and crying. “She was so anxious to hear that you're alive. She wanted to come back to see you quickly, so she suddenly stood up and walked as fast as shecould. It surprised us too!”

Roy smiled. “Her legs have almost fully recovered for some time. However, she has been afraid towalk. Your news shocked her so much and made her walk again.”

It was not just that. If Freya could, she would love to run to him. Freya got out of Jace’s arms. Shelooked up at him with a tearful face. “Son...” Jace answered, “Hey, mom, sorry for making you worryand sad. I'm sorry.”

“Don’t apologize. You're alive. This is better than anything else.”

Freya usually had a heart of stone. However, she softened when she saw her son's safe return.

This was her only son! She never wanted to suffer the pain of sending her son off again.

Freya finally regained her authority as a mother and warned her son, “You have to live well. You can'tdie ahead of me again! Do you hear me?”

Jace hurriedly nodded and answered, “I know.”

There was some food reserved for Freya and the rest in the kitchen. Freya was full of emotions andbarely ate, but Roy ate very well.

Food was everything to him.

“Duncan, come. Try this.” Grandma Yuriel really liked Roy. He was capable and a nice person. He wasopen-minded and like a child at times. She had a good impression of him.

Roy nodded and answered, “Okay. This is good.” Gloria immediately said, “I made it!” She had neverbeen more proud. Charlotte quickly suggested he try her dish. “Duncan, I made this. Sage helpedme a little too. Try it."

Roy tasted it and praised it, “Well, this is good too!”

His praise made Charlotte proud too.

Henry and Zachary exchanged a glance and quietly thought that Sage did not just help a little. Itwas her skill that magically made the food better. They hoped their mothers would see the truthEveryone dispersed after the meal. Freya took Jace back to her residence. Sage did not follow themFreya and Jace had not seen each other for a long time. They have a lot of catching up to do.Wayne, Mendoza, and Grandpa Yuriel gathered in the tea room and enjoyed some tea. Meanwhile,Sage took Roy, who was bloated with food, to see the flowers Freya planted. “Master Duncan, howfar have you gotten with Aunt Freya?” Roy was pulling weeds from the bushes with his gloves on.When he heard this, he looked back at Sage and asked, “Hm?”

Sage looked at him. “You've helped Aunt Freya so much. Grandma Yuriel has accepted you as herfuture son-in-law. Don't tell me you don’t have any plans yet.”

Roy smacked his lips. “Ah, this. Of course, I do. However, I'm so poor. Do you think Freya wouldwant me?”
