Chapter 821 Sage knew about Wayne's story. It reminded her of her days in the countryside as akid. The family used to be fun and lively which came with a lot of bickering. She could not help butlaugh as she was reminded of those days.

It has been a long time since Jace felt this embarrassed and exposed. He did not know if Sage wastelling the truth, but he knew the he should apologize at once. It seemed insincere to apologizethrough message, so he directly called her. When he dialed her number, his heart raced. He fearedthat Sage would hang up on him like in the past. The six to seven seconds of wait felt like a lifetimefor him. Jace bit his fingertips in a panicked state.

Yoel and Cole stared at him with a confused look.

A dinging sound rang. Jace's heart thumped. He thought Sage rejected the call. However, when hesaw that the call was connected, he finally realized that Sage had answered the call.

“Sage!” Jace suddenly stood up and shouted, “I'm sorry! I didn’t mean to...”

“No, I did but...” The more he tried to explain, the more wrong it seemed. Jace closed his eyes andbit the bullet. “I impersonated Zachary to contact you. I'm sorry. I was wrong!”

In the past six months, the most powerful move he learnt from Sawyer was the desire to liveSawyer had taught him something valuable. “As men, we must use our skill and temper outside.Why use your témper with your wife and children at home?
