Primrose looked distressed. “She's been my best friend and sister since I was a child. What should Ido if something happens to her because of the child?” As she spoke, she began to wipe away tears.Sage was lost for words and amazed at her mother’s actions. Dr. Frank could not bear seeing a beauty like Primrose cry. He quickly comforted her, “When I firstfound out about the fetal problems, I advised Madam Zelda to terminate the pregnancy, but she...refused to listen. She also threatened to sue me and did not want me to do anything about herpregnancy. Now, it's too late for an abortion. “I see. Thank you, doctor.” After learning the truth, Primrose wiped her tears and was ready to leavewith Sage. Dr. Frank stood up and shyly pulled out his phone. He asked Primrose, “Hey, can I addyou on WhutsApp?” Primrose turned around with a sweet smile. “I'm sorry. My husband won't letme add other people's contact.”

Dr. Frank fell silent.

After they got into the car, Sage looked at her mother in the passenger seat. She was calmlytouching up her makeup.

Sage said, “I'm going to tell Dad that you're flirting with other men.”

“It's just a beauty ploy. It's not that serious.” Primrose did not care at all and admired her beauty inthe make-up mirror. “I haven't used this trick for a long time. I overdid it a little, but the result is nottoo bad.”

Sage started the engine and turned the steering wheel. She thought about it and said, “Come tothink of it, I haven't really seen you cry in front of Dad.”

“Your dad wouldn't want me to cry. He only wants me to be happy.” Primrose was very proud of herrelationship. Sage was lost for words and gave her a thumbs up. “Fine. You're amazing.” “Of course.If you're at least half as good as me, you could've won Jace's heart in your three year marriage.”Primrose could not help but sigh. “Oh, I feel ashamed to mention this.” Sage was speechless andembarrassed. “Mom, don't just expose my shortcomings like that.” Primrose chuckled a little. Then,her face changed. “Hey, what should we do about Luna? What about telling Lucas straight andruining their marriage?”IIII “Don’t you think it'll be more fun if they get married?” A cold glint flashedacross Sage's eyes.
