Absolute Chaos -
Chapter 37.
The look in Amaunet’s icy eyes before she fled was too much for Raijen to bare. He lay on the cold chambers floor with Maia and Kaydir, the foul wind that had rapidly filled the room was long gone, yet so was Amaunet.
The three friends scrambled to their feet, racing after Amaunet as fast as their injured bodies would allow. Reaching the top of the staircase, they bolted down the long passage to the tall shaft and out to their freedom.
Raijen could hear the pained howls of Am-heh from his cage of plasma below, they echoed out from the deep shaft, dissolving into the Earths thin stratosphere.
The air outside rapidly cooled, the wind had whipped into a swirling crazed beast, flinging Otamia’s sand in every direction, biting down hard on their flesh.
They spied a great storm in the distance, its oppressive curtain hanging low over the Nile, pushing the cold air into a cyclonic frenzy of sheer hate and disgust.
Lightings harsh echoes split their ears, crashing into the dark waters, Raijen could see the liquid light up beneath, shocked by its sudden ferocity.
The closer the three friends got to the river, the more they could see. Raijen’s eyes widened in horror, sighting a monster made from water, writhing its way up into the black clouds above. It was stealing the Niles water, forcing it high into the air and down into Amaunet.
Fear squeezed his true heart, Raijen pushed into the wind, wild adrenaline forcing every muscle to pump harder, his blood searing amid his veins.
He sprinted towards his Goddess, he could see her kneeling on the Niles shores, her blue light fading into to the darkness, two magnificent wings arched above her, trying to shield her small body from the tempest afoot.
As Raijen neared he could see great gushes of water swarming throughout her whole body, engulfing her, drowning her from the inside out.
The Earth quaked as they ran, a terrible force suddenly swelled in the air, altering the atmosphere and exploding into the gushing torrent, shattering the dark waters, pulling Otamia’s life’s blood back down into the chasm that has always held her before.
The water spilled from Amaunet’s core, absorbing into the sodden sand. She collapsed into the mud, her soaked wings dropping like led at her sides.
Raijen had almost reached her, the storm had calmed, almost faded, only a soft shower now misted throughout the strange air.
Skidding to his knees beside his true love, Raijen scooped Amaunet into his strong arms and crushed her soaking cold body to his, crying hot tears of fear and relief.
She was alive, though barely. Raijen could feel her weak heartbeat against his bare chest, with every breath her heartbeat grew stronger, the blue light from inside pushing its way out from her pores and splintering into a brilliant deep blue wonder.
Snapping her eyes wide open, Amaunet’s long dark lashes folded out, revealing both of her azure gems, slamming her love into Raijen’s soul and there it entwined with his, leaving him utterly breathless.
The moment was quickly broken. Amaunet flew to her feet, rapidly scanning her surroundings, looking out into the dark waters of the Nile. She then whispered into the darkness, both awe and wonder pouring from her core......”Its the last Angel of Death.”
A cold chill tiptoed all over Raijen’s spine, he watched in horror as Amaunet flung her wings behind her and dove headlong into the Nile, vanishing under the blackness as it swallowed her alive.
Raijen’s heart flipped under its cage, his breath caught in its midsts and panic seized his soul. He could not lose his Goddess, yet she had disappeared under the dark rivers hold.
Only moments later Amaunet was back, flying out from the black waves, holding a small dark body in her arms.
She lay the winged woman on the sand, her lifeless form slumped to the side, her black wings lay in a soggy mess beside her and an astonishing clear stone rolled out from her small palm.
Sapphire light poured from Amaunet, her huge eyes instantly flung to the stone. She quickly ripped her soaked wrap from her waist and threw it over the stunning gem, shooting daggers at Raijen, whilst fiercely whispering through her gritted teeth.
“Do not touch it!.” It was a command not a request, a little taken aback by her harsh tone, but he could feel the immense fear coming from his Goddess, he could feel her confusion and pain.
Amaunet’s attention flew straight back to the woman she held in her arms.
“Mieli.” She whispered the woman’s name with quiet, chilling awe. She then tilted her head backwards, placed her lips over the dark Angel’s and breathed sweet life into her drowned lungs.
Chaos was filling his Goddess, Raijen could both see and feel the intense power charging from her in the air, shifting from her soul and pouring into the Angel below her.
The Angel began to cough, her chest started to move, pumping her Divine blood back into her delicate veins, thrusting it rapidly into her heart and soul.
Breaking the seal of their lips, Amaunet looked down at the extraordinary creature and patiently waited for her to open her eyes.
Gasping as the beauties long lashes flew open, two huge almond shaped eyes stared up at Amaunet, her irises swirling with pure mercury, shining with emotions beyond Raijen’s wildest dreams.
The Angel was devastatingly terrifying, they were the only words that came to his mind.

“Amaunet....my Goddess.” Mieli lowered her spectacular lids, bowing her head.
Amaunet helped her to sit. “The Alzphaeta Diamond,....I had it....” She followed Amaunet’s eyes to the cloth that covered the extraordinary stone on the sand next to her, Mieli nodded before she continued.
“I hold Arawn’s soul.....But Earth is so strange, I do not know how long I can contain it.” Never once faltering before, she had always been able to contain the sinful within, holding many putrid souls among her own until Chaos would snatch them from her core and slam each one into the infernal blazes of hell.
The evil inside Mieli squirmed and writhed, Arawn was desperate to escape and she could not let that happen.
Earlier, when she ended Shesmu’s putrid life, she was unable to catch his soul, it now drifted over the lands, forever searching for a soul as depraved as his to latch onto, corrupting them into the unspeakable.
“I need to get to the pyramid my Goddess, I need to take Arawn to Chaos.” Amaunet nodded, helping Mieli to her feet, grasping her hand in hers, squeezing it before letting go.
Amaunet turned from Mieli and approached a tall stunning man who stood just behind them, looking up into his light eyes, searching his soul. Two others stood behind the tall man, a dark woman of astounding beauty and a huge man with the most spectacular emerald eyes.
Mieli could see right away that her Goddess loved the man deeply, as profoundly as her love for Kyzin. She prayed to Chaos that he was safe, that he had found his sister and not fell victim to Am-heh or any other cruel fate.
“Please...Raijen, you must understand...I have to....” Was all Amaunet managed, dropping her magnificent blue eyes. The man grabbed her Goddess by the shoulders and squeezed her pale flesh, shaking her. “LOOK AT ME!.” He demanded, Mieli immediately flew to Amaunet and flung the mans brawny body to the side like he was nothing.
“ENOUGH!.” Amaunet roared, her wings tearing through the air in a giant arc over her head, looking directly at Mieli,
“Please Mieli,....calm yourself, it is alright.” Lowering her wings, she now dropped to the stunned mans side and placed her small hands in his, Amaunet buried her head into his chest, the mans long arms immediately wrapping around her and folded her onto his lap. They stayed like this in silence for some minutes before Amaunet stood, wiped the tears from her eyes and nodded towards Mieli.
Mieli picked up the Alzphaeta Diamond, wrapping it tightly in the flax and grasped the extraordinary Goddess’s hand. They both shot up into the cold nights air and flew like the wind toward Temu’s great pyramid.

Raijen didn’t know how he knew, but he knew Amaunet would be leaving him soon. He could see it in the dark oceans of her irises, he could feel it pouring from her soul, his heart shattering into an endless stream of sheer pain, each tiny shard exploded into oblivion, infinitely forcing scalding fire into his heated blood.
The mighty Nile had calmed, Raijen stood watching the two Divine beings of Chaos fly towards Temu’s great Pyramid and into the shadows of the night.
